This paper describes the design of a 3D printer fire detection system (3DP-FDS) with a GSM connection, its purpose being to avoid fire accidents. The key feature of the system is the ability to send an alert via a short message service (SMS) when a fire is detected. 3DP-FDS consists of an arduino uno r3 development board, SIM800L GSM/GPrS modem module, KY-026 flame sensor module and a Li-Ion battery package. The tame sensor performs the fire sensing on the digital output, comparing the detected value to the selected DC value from development board. Then, the development board sends a message to the GSM module that delivers it. The supervised active area is limited by the flame sensor 1 m detection distance and 60 angle, it being enough to cover the printer build volume and framework. A maximum time frame of 5 seconds has been accomplished, between the flame detection and the message receiving by the user. Also, the system can safely work for more than six hours without network supply. 3DP-FDS helps users to improve their safety standards and it can also be involved in other safety scenarios.

Anthropogenic and natural actions cause internal and external fractures in concrete. To recover these structures, bio-concretes have been developed with bacteria of the genus Bacillus. These microorganisms consume calcium lactate, synthesize calcium carbonate and biomineralize CaCO3 crystals within the structures of concrete. The aim of the present study was to construct equipment, denominated "Cascade System for Biomineralization in Cement" (CSBC), to determine the limiting velocity of the biomineralization of CaCO3. The construction of the equipment took into consideration chemical and biochemical phenomena responsible for biomineralization. Parts made with 3D printing and a circuit with arduino uno r3 board were used in the assembly of the system. The prototype proved to be stable and can be considered a promising tool for future application in research of the regeneration of reinforced concreted in a practical, fast and economical way, especially to the energy sector.

The SArS-COV-2 imposed dramatically changes in our lives, habits, lifestyles, relationships, jobs. A strategic sector heavily affected by the pandemic is the education one. Although several distance learning initiatives supported the training courses activities, practical sessions have been greatly penalized. In this paper, a solution to remotely perform experiments on an IoT device, namely an arduino uno r3 board, is proposed. The novelty of our approach is to remotely allow not only the software deployment over a specific hardware configuration, but also to set the hardware configuration of the IoT device.

Fire occurrences are the disaster that can cause many humans as well as animal death, property mutilation and disabilities to affected humans. The main motive to develop this robot is to overcome the loss of human lives and get best of this disaster. The idea is to develop a robot that will be used for fire extinguishing purpose and save a huge number of human lives. Keeping in mind that the human and animal lives are important to work upon. A low-cost robot will be developed for fire extinguisher. arduino programming will be done wisely so that the flame sensor can work accordingly. Fulfilling the increasing demand for electricity is a huge challenge worldwide. At the same time, dependence on fossil fuels for power generation and its enervation is becoming a severe concern as fossil fuels will be unavailable after 25 years. Hence, research needs to be focused on minimizing the dependence on fossil fuels for power generation especially in the shipping industry. This study aims to implement the solar photovoltaic (PV) system in a ship so as to investigate the possible difficulties related to fault detection and islanding protection methods of a direct current (DC)grid-tied solar PV system in a ship. The simulations have been modeled using an arduino uno r3 with IC ATMEGA 328P controller in Proteus PCB Design and Simulation software. In faulty conditions, the impact of the faults on the grid is very critical. Hence, it is essential to identify faults immediately and island the grid.

Analyzing the patterns of earthquakes and creating a system to detect them, can help to minimize loss of lives. Existing sensor based detection works failed to distinguish between earthquakes and other external vibrational noises that may be caused due to construction or other external sources. In the proposed work, to overcome this drawback, first in-depth structural analysis of shear walls is done to find a structurally suitable location to install the sensor in a building. Further, MPU6050 sensor is used to reduce the complexity and make the circuit less bulky. This sensor consists of an accelerometer which measures the change in acceleration and a gyroscope which records the shaking pattern of the ground. Since this shaking pattern is exhibited exclusively by an earthquake occurrence, the proposed model distinguishes between earthquake and other non-hazardous vibrations efficiently. With the considered model for machine learning algorithms, we were able to achieve 99.82% of accuracy, which is an important factor for earthquake detection.

Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is commonly used for heating, cooking, automotive power, and various other uses worldwide. LPG is a particularly flammable gas, and LPG leaks cause significant incidents. The cause may arise from improper installation to the use of faulty gas cylinders. Since LPG is an extremely volatile and flammable gas, a reliable safety system has been designed and developed using IoT (Internet of Things) capable of detecting gas leakage, turning on the emergency alarm, tracking the location, and sending alerts messages to users and nearest helpline number. The proposed model sort out into four modules, such as Gas Detection Module (GDM) always detect the gas leakage to avoid unexpected incidents;Location Detection Module (LDM) track the gas leakage location and pass the value to NM;Notification Module (NM) is responsible for generating the message service to notify the nearest help center and user;In the case of a gas leak, the Alarm Module (AM) is responsible for activating an emergency alarm. The result shows the system successfully performed. It can be noted that the proposed can be embedded with any environment, including home, office, ship, industry, etc.

Farming in a smarter way and it is essential in this trending world. Being smart also helps as to improve crop yield. In today's modern world this is possible with the assistance of technology. Area sensor decide the scope, longitude and elevation inside feet, GPS satellite is used. This sensor is created as an application using arduino uno r3. The key data required in accuracy horticulture is given by electrochemical sensor to discover PH and soil supplement levels. This sensor mounted on the soil and been linked with the application. By using this sensor we can predict the most yieldable crop that can be cultivated on that farm area, also we can predict its ph level, soil humidity, temperature, what type of fertilizer, pesticides are used. A system based on IOT technology innovation are created to deal with all the necessary data and the multifaceted nature of plants development. © 2020 IEEE.

It is a well-known fact that, Agriculture is considered as the backbone of every country present across the globe. Being such a huge sector, farming requires a large amount of water. Many crops require a limited amount of water, so maintaining the water level is important because excessive water usage will harm the crop. So, it is necessary to know which crop to be grown in the field according to the conditions. Farmers use the traditional way to determine which crop to sow on the soil. When the same crop is grown on the same soil repeatedly, the soil's nutrition supply is depleted. So, to solve this, a suitable smart farming system is necessary. This can be achieved using arduino, IoT, Machine Learning, and Wireless Sensor Network. Wireless sensors such as pH sensors, temperature sensors, and soil moisture sensors is used in this system. These sensors will detect changes in the field and relay them to arduino, which will activate the associated actuators. A suitable crop is also predicted from the sensor values using machine learning. A web application with a suitable user interface is created for recommending the crop. The proposed system will help in reducing water usage while increasing annual yield.

Excessive temperature and heat energy reduces the energy output of the solar PV system to a significant level. The solar panel efficiency is inversely proportional to the temperature. The photovoltaic models are generally tested at the temperature of twenty five degree centigrade. Further by depending on the installation location, heat can reduce the efficiency by a margin (10-25).When temperature of solar panel increases, and output current gets increased exponentially. At the same time the voltage output gets reduced linearly. As a result, rise in heat severely affects the output power of the solar panel and there are several ways to control the phenomena. This paper discusses an implementation of digital temperature control for managing the temperature of the solar panel to achieve better efficiency and power.
