In recent time low temperature plasma discharge is ordinarily used in material engineering for surface treatment of various kind of material but it has already been used also for other applications, such as degradation of mycotoxin, sterilization of thermally sensitive medical devices, seed germination enhancement etc. Also many types of advanced oxidation processes (AOP) are used in wide range of applications, for instance for biodegradation of pollutants, water cleaning, sterilization etc. In the paper the possibilities of using of low temperature atmospheric pressure plasma discharge (APD) and AOP based on photocatalysis in some environmental friendly applications is presented. The possibilities of APD using for degradation of mycotoxin has been already presented but any influence of the APD on quality of the infected and treated seeds was studied. Thus the comparison of nutriments contents of treated and untreated seeds was the aim of the paper. The synergistic effect of contemporary using of photocatalysis and APD of Gliding Arc type on biodegradation of pollutant in water is also presented.

Effectiveness of a software development depends directly upon how efficiently testing techniques have been carried out on the software. Testing starts as soon as requirements are being collected for the software development process. It was a myth at earlier days that software testing can only be carried out after implementation phase. Now it has been experimentally proved that in order to reduce the overall cost and time for the software development process, it is necessary to carry out testing from the first phase of software development life cycle. Among a large number of software testing methodologies, mutation testing is one of the testing methodology in which testing is performed by introducing faults into the program. Mutation testing focuses on fault identification by examining the efficiency of test suite. Many researchers have contributed into the field of Mutation testing in aspect oriented systems. In this paper, various mutation operators are proposed to detect faults in aspectJ Programs.

To simplify the constructs that programmers have to learn for using paradigms, we extend methods to a new language construct, a method slot, to support both the event-handler paradigm and the aspect paradigm. A method slot is an object's property that can keep more than one function closure and be called like a method. We also propose a Java-based language, DominoJ, which replaces methods in Java with method slots, and explains the behavior of method slots and the operators. Then we evaluate the coverage of expressive ability of method slots by comparing DominoJ with other languages in detail. The feasibility of method slots is shown as well by implementing a prototype compiler and running a preliminary microbenchmark for it.

This paper presents a context-sensitive dynamic slicing technique for concurrent AOPs having multiple threads. To effectively represent the concurrent AOP, we propose an intermediate graph called Multithreaded aspect-oriented Dependence Graph (MAODG). Based on this intermediate representation, we design a precise and accurate dynamic slicing algorithm for concurrent AOPs. This algorithm takes the MAODG of the concurrent AOP and a slicing criterion as input and computes the dynamic slice for the given concurrent AOP. © 2014 IEEE.

A dynamic program analysis provides essential information during later phases of an application development. It helps with debugging, profiling, performance optimizations or vulnerability detection. Despite that, support for creating custom dynamic analysis tools, especially in the domain of managed languages, is rather limited. In this thesis, we present two systems to help improve application observability on the Java platform. DiSL is a language accompanied with a framework allowing simple and flexible instrumentation for the dynamic program analysis. DiSL provides high level abstractions to enable quick prototyping even for programmers not possessing a knowledge of Java internals. A skilled analysis developer gains full control over the instrumentation process, thus does not have to worry about unwanted allocations or hidden execution overhead. ShadowVM is a platform that provides isolation between the observed application and the analysis environment. To reduce the amount of possible interactions between the analysis and the application, ShadowVM offloads analysis events out of the context of the application. Producer-Consumer problem is a classical and representative synchronization problem in the field of computer science, which can be implemented by object-oriented programming language. However, the implementation of objectoriented programming often leads to be tangled between functional codes and synchronization codes, which are easy to lead code-scattering and code-tangling. aspect-oriented programming (AOP) has been proposed as a technique for improving separation of concerns for the final software. This paper aims to resolve concrete aspect and implement the synchronization of producer-consumer based on AOP under two ways: single buffer and multiple buffers, and the execution result shows that AOP can resolve the producer-consumer problem effectively. Furthermore, the execution time of AOP program is shown to contrast with that of object-oriented programming, which shows that AOP can almost get the same execution time with object-oriented programming, while AOP can gain the modularization better than object-oriented programming.

Join Point Interfaces for Safe and Flexible Decoupling of aspects

In current aspect-oriented systems, aspects usually carry, through their pointcuts, explicit references to the base code. Those references are fragile and hinder important software engineering properties such as modular reasoning and independent evolution of aspects and base code. In this work, we introduce a novel abstraction called Join Point Interface, which, by design, aids modular reasoning and independent evolution by decoupling aspects from base code and by providing a modular type-checking algorithm. Join point interfaces can be used both with implicit announcement through pointcuts, and with explicit announcement, using closure join points. Join point interfaces further offer polymorphic dispatch on join points, with an advice-dispatch semantics akin to multimethods. To support flexible join point matching, we incorporate into our language an earlier proposal for generic advice, and introduce a mechanism for controlled global quantification. We motivate each language feature in detail, showing that it is necessary to obtain a language design that is both type safe and flexible enough to support typical aspect-oriented programming idioms. We have implemented join point interfaces as an open-source extension to aspectJ. A case study on existing aspect-oriented programs supports our design, and in particular shows the necessity of both generic interfaces and some mechanism for global quantification.

This paper introduces an aspect-oriented library aimed to support efficient execution of Java applications on multi-core systems. The library is coded in aspectJ and provides a set of parallel programming abstractions that mimics the OpenMP standard. The library supports the migration of sequential Java codes to multi-core machines with minor changes to the base code, intrinsically supports the sequential semantics of OpenMP and provides improved integration with object-oriented mechanisms. The aspect-oriented nature of library enables the encapsulation of parallelism-related code into well-defined modules. The approach makes the parallelisation and the maintenance of large-scale Java applications more manageable. Furthermore, the library can be used with plain Java annotations and can be easily extended with application-specific mechanisms in order to tune application performance. The library has a competitive performance, in comparison with traditional parallel programming in Java, and enhances programmability, since it allows an independent development of parallelism-related code.

Despite the scientific community's interest in developing Three-Dimensional Virtual Environments (3D VEs) for various purposes, collecting interaction data automatically is still a challenge. In general, the logs of the interactions are performed directly in the application source code in a specific way. In order to make the process automatic and efficient, it is necessary to register information in real time during the virtual environment exploration and with no changes in the application source code. This paper presents the results of an experimental study from a non-intrusive system for monitoring the interactions of users in 3D VE. The results showed that the monitoring system implemented based on the aspect-oriented programming (AOP) is efficient to facilitate data collection and allows monitoring interactions that occur automatically, without interfering in the application source code. It was also possible to identify in the context of the experiment that there is evidence that some types of user interactions with VEs are correlated with the user's learning level.

The goal of this research is to formulate a framework to determine whether the usage of an application in production environments is consistent with the test cases used to verify it before the application was released. aspect-oriented programming (AOP) techniques are used to apply the instrumentation required for the measuring process so that the program is oblivious to the instrumentation and Hidden Markov Models (HMMs) are used to create signatures of the program. This paper presents the preliminary findings on the use of such mathematical models to measure the completeness of use cases driving the quality assurance testing. To demonstrate the technique, the Web Service API of a commercial product is used. SOAP calls executed through different client applications are used to create test data for the experiments. The HMMs signatures created from collecting method calls can be used to determine whether the application is used according to the uses cases that have been verified. If the likelihood that the stochastic model obtained during testing can generate the sequences of calls collected from the production environment (via AOP techniques) is low, then it suggests that the program is being used in a way that has not been formally tested. These experiments will show that observable differences of the measurements using log likelihood graphs can detect such anomalies.
