Neural network economic forecast method based on genetic algorithm

Economic forecasting is a kind of conjecture and estimation of future economic phenomena. Proceeding from the history and reality of economic development, this paper uses scientific forecasting methods to reveal the development law of various economic phenomena, point out the relationship between various economic phenomena, and point out their development direction and possible extent. Based on this, this paper aims to predict the economic growth of Province C and proposes a prediction tool for improving BP neural network based on genetic algorithm. Forecast data of GM11 is used as the training sample for the neutral web, and the prediction is performed after the training is completed. This paper concludes through experimental exploration that the prediction outcomes are superior for BP neutral web model improved by legacy algorithm. The error difference between the prediction result and the actual economic growth value is 3.6%, and the average value of the error is less than half that of the time series prediction model, which is only 1.4%.

We present the compilation process of synthesizable, transaction-level hardware designs into Gallina code. This allows the Coq theorem prover to execute formal verification scripts on top of the automatically generated code to prove individual theorems. The novelty of this work is the use of PDVL (programming Design and Verification Language), which adds specific language constructs to SystemVerilog to enable an aspect-oriented, transaction-level design style. In this paper, we show that PDVL code can also be compiled into Gallina code, with the advantage that it is highly usable for theorem proving and perfect for using the Coq proof assistant. We outline individual proof strategies for theorem proving, sequential equivalence checking, property checking, and show applications of symbolic simulation techniques. This is done by using a complex timer peripheral, AES and UART modules as well as RISC-V based designs.

In the last few years several new programming techniques for achieving a better separation of concerns have been defined. One of the most accepted has been aspect-oriented programming (AOP). Those attending this tutorial will learn how to improve the modularization, maintainability and evolution of secure applications by using AOP to achieve a better separation of the security concerns (e.g. authentication, authorization, encryption). A running example will be used throughout the tutorial to illustrate how AOP works. The tutorial will principally illustrate the use of the aspectJ programming language, although other AOP languages will be used to cover features that are not included in aspectJ. As a proof of concept we will discuss the use of AOP in the context of the INTER-TRUST project, a STREP project that brings together experts from the security and aspect-oriented research communities to demonstrate that security policies can be dynamically deployed and adapted at runtime using AOP.

Autonomous decision-making is increasingly applied to handle highly dynamic, uncertain environments: as incorrect decisions can cause serious harm to individuals or society, there is a need for accountability. For systems that use runtime models to represent their observations and decisions, one possible solution to understand their behaviour is to study the provenance of the changes to those runtime models. In this paper, we investigate how to use aspect-oriented programming (AOP) to solve the cross-cutting concern of automated provenance collection through aspect-oriented programming, as a generalisation of previous work which could only operate on models created with the Eclipse Modeling Framework. We present a variety of patterns to identify the elements of the runtime model that are of interest for automated provenance collection, as well as the additional supporting infrastructure needed to cover the gaps left by the lack of a dedicated modelling framework. Two case studies have been conducted. The first study replicates past results with an EMF-based system, using AOP instead of customising the code generation, and compares runtime overheads and required developer effort. The other case study investigates the use of Cronista with AOP on a system using plain Java classes for its runtime model. The results show that the new AOP-based approach for automated provenance collection can effectively replace the old generator-based approach, while being applicable to a broader range of systems, at a cost of a small increase in runtime memory usage for EMF-based runtime models.

Despite the high configurability of IPs and hardware generators, code modifications are still required to introduce aspect-oriented instrumentation to satisfy emerging aspectual design requirements such as on-chip debug and functional safety. These code modifications escalate development, verification efforts, and deteriorate code reuse. This paper proposes a highly efficient transformative hardware design methodology that leverages graph-grammar-based model transformations. Following the proposed methodology, main design functionalities and aspectual instrumentation are separately developed, automatically integrated, and verified. To demonstrate the applicability, industrial SoCs were transformed to support on-chip debug. Compared to the manual RTL coding, the proposed transformative methodology needed less than 32x Lines of Code (LoC) to develop and integrate the aspectual instrumentation. In particular, our approach enables high code reusability, as the implementation of the transformation script is a one-time effort, and can be applied to all evaluated SoCs. This high LoC gain and code reuse promote the overall productivity of digital design.

Many organizations seek to improve the maintainability and scalability of their computing systems by migrating from a conventional monolithic architecture to a microservice architecture (MSA). Note that service identification is the most crucial step in architecture migration. In the current study, we developed a microservice identification scheme based on analyzing database access to account for the importance of the pattern "Database Per Service" in microservices design. The proposed MIADA (Microservices Identification using Analysis for Database Access) system facilitates the clustering of service endpoints used in the identification and creation of microservices. The feasibility and efficacy of the proposed MIADA approach were evaluated using two existing service-oriented software projects, PlanApproval and CoCoME. The evaluation results show that the MIADA approach can effectively recommend appropriate clusters of service endpoints to construct microservices.

Enforcing authorization for web applications must be done on the server side. Thus, either the backend or the persistent storage are suitable layers. From a developer's point of view, we want to use a framework to automate creating persistent storage models and to map the entities between storage and backend. However, not all such frameworks offer sufficient authorization support. From a scientist's perspective, we want to generally combine the filtering capabilities of the persistent storage with the advantages of using a mapper framework. Therefore, we propose to intercept the communication between the backend and the mapper framework and thus provide a central point of authorization. This offers the advantage that developers are unlikely to inadvertently introduce security vulnerabilities. The request is modified by adding a filter to return only authorized entities. Filtering directly in the storage saves performance and bandwidth besides reducing development and maintenance effort.

An Extensible Compiler for Implementing Software Design Patterns as Concise Language Constructs

Design patterns are generic solutions to common programming problems. Design patterns represent a typical example of design reuse. However, implementing design patterns can lead to several problems, such as programming overhead and traceability. Existing research introduced several approaches to alleviate the implementation issues of design patterns. Nevertheless, existing approaches pose different implementation restrictions and require programmers to be aware of how design patterns should be implemented. Such approaches make the source code more prone to faults and defects. In addition, existing design pattern implementation approaches limit programmers to apply specific scenarios of design patterns (e.g. class-level), while other approaches require scattering implementation code snippets throughout the program. Such restrictions negatively impact understanding, tracing, or reusing design patterns. In this paper, we propose a novel approach to support the implementation of software design patterns as an extensible Java compiler. Our approach allows developers to use concise, easy-to-use language constructs to apply design patterns in their code. In addition, our approach allows the application of design patterns in different scenarios. We illustrate our approach using three commonly used design patterns, namely Singleton, Observer and Decorator. We show, through illustrative examples, how our design pattern constructs can significantly simplify implementing design patterns in a flexible, reusable and traceable manner. Moreover, our design pattern constructs allow class-level and instance-level implementations of design patterns.

Trading Obliviousness for Modularity with Cooperative aspect-oriented programming

The potential of aspect-oriented programming to adequately capture crosscutting concerns has yet to be fully realized. For example, authors have detailed significant challenges in creating reusable aspect component libraries. One proposed solution is to introduce Explicit Join Points (EJPs) to increase modularity by reducing obliviousness, enabling a Cooperative aspect-oriented programming (Co-AOP) methodology where base code and aspects synergistically collaborate. This article explores the trade-offs between obliviousness and modularity. We briefly introduce EJPs and Co-AOP, and hypothesize how to balance obliviousness and modularity using Co-AOP. We build upon a prior empirical study to refactor three real-life Java applications to implement the exception handling concern using three distinct strategies: (1) using fully oblivious aspects in aspectJ, (2) using EJPs in a fully explicit fashion, and (3) using EJPs while following the Co-AOP methodology. We study other crosscutting concerns by refactoring a fourth application, JHotDraw. The differences in terms of common code metrics are analyzed, and the impact on modularity is assessed using design structure matrices. Results indicate that the Co-AOP methodology can in many cases significantly improve code quality attributes versus fully oblivious or fully explicit approaches. We conclude with guiding principles on the proper use of EJPs within the Co-AOP methodology.
