crucial to reducing the risk of late stent thrombosis. With a resolution of approximately 10 mu m, optical coherence tomography (OCT) may be an appropriate imaging modality for visualizing the vascular response to a stent and measuring the percentage of struts covered with an anti-thrombogenic cellular lining. We developed an image analysis program to locate covered and uncovered stent struts in OCT images of tissue-engineered blood vessels. The struts were found by exploiting the highly reflective and shadowing characteristics of the metallic stent material. Coverage was evaluated by comparing the luminal surface with the depth of the strut reflection. Strut coverage calculations were compared to manual assessment of OCT images and epi-fluorescence analysis of the stented grafts. Based on the manual assessment, the strut identification algorithm operated with a sensitivity of 93% and a specificity of 99%. The strut coverage algorithm was 81% sensitive and 96% specific. The present study indicates that the program can automatically determine percent cellular coverage from volumetric OCT datasets of blood vessel mimics. The program could potentially be extended to assessments of stent endothelialization in native stented arteries.

This paper presents a fully automatic algorithm for the extraction of equivalent circuits from noisy frequency responses. The application area involves the generation of SPICE-ready macromodels for critical interconnects for Signal Integrity chatacterizations. Direct measurements are often employed to obtain a characterization of a given interconnect structure, leading to its frequency-dependent scattering responses. The proposed technique processes these responses and outputs an equivalent circuit. The algorithm is based on a modification of the well-known Vector Fitting scheme, which has now become a standard tool in EMC and SI studies. The presented improvements focus on robustness to noise, which is always present in measured data, and on automatic order estimation. These issues are addressed via an automatic detection of any spurious poles due to the noise, which are hard relocated in order to maximize the model accuracy. Several application examples are presented to illustrate the excellent capabilities of the new fitting scheme.

In order to find personal characteristics of users, the particular questionnaires which are designed according to four factor model of personality, has been done. In order to research the relation between effectiveness of the structure and personality, four hypotheses based on four features of personality. Moreover, in order to find the relationship between expertise (educational level, educational field and amount of training curriculum of PC knowledge), job satisfaction and experience of users, and effectiveness of the accountancy management structure based-PC, some hypotheses have been studied and written. The study results indicates that personal characteristics including Agreeableness, openness, Conscientiousness and experience working, is efficient on the financial management structures based-PC.

The purpose of the study was to evaluate the accuracy of a commercial automatic digital templating algorithm compared to manual digital templating in total knee arthroplasty (TKA). The study also evaluated if race and the presence of a standardized calibration marker on preoperative radiographs effect the accuracy of digital templating. One hundred twenty-five consecutive patients undergoing primary TKA were included in the study. Patient demographics, etiology of arthritis, and the presence of a standardized calibration marker on preoperative anteroposterior (AP) and lateral radiographs was recorded. Manual digital templating and the use of the "auto-knee" templating algorithm with "Traumacad" software was performed and recorded. Intraoperative sizes of the actual implants used were recorded. Pearson chi 2 test was used to evaluate the accuracy of auto versus manual templating. Manual templating was within 1 size of the implant used intraoperatively for femoral and tibial implants 97.6% and 94.2% of the time, respectively. The "auto-knee" algorithm was within one size of the implant used for femoral and tibial implants 51.2% and 71.2% of the time, respectively. The presence of a standardized calibration marker on the AP view did not change accuracy of templating for both components. There was no difference in accuracy of templating between races. We caution surgeons from exclusively using an automatic algorithm as it is less accurate than manual templating for TKA.

The thermal imaging cameras can see the heat signature of people, boats, and vehicles in total darkness as well as through smoke, haze, and light fog, but not through the forest canopy. This study develops a novel algorithm to help detecting obscure targets underneath forest canopy and mitigate the vegetation problem for those bare ground point extraction filters as well. By examining our automatically processed results with actual LiDAR data, the forest canopy is successfully removed where all obscure vehicles or buildings underneath canopy can now be easily seen. Besides, the occluded rate of forest canopy and the detailed underneath x-y point distribution can be easily obtained accordingly. This will be very useful for predicting the performance of occluded target detection with respect to various object locations.
