Analysing vibration signal is an effective important method for diesel engine fault diagnosis, and its key techniques are feature extraction and pattern recognition. In this paper, wavelet packet decomposition algorithm as an effective method for fault feature extraction is used to decompose the vibration signals, and its percentage of energy band wavelet packet and wavelet packet energy spectrum entropy are regarded as diagnostic feature vectors. At the same time, in the process of pattern recognition, a mixedneural network training algorithm——GA-bp algorithm wasused to recognize the fault pattern in fault diagnosis of valve gap abnormal fault. This method can effectively and reliably be used in the fault diagnosis of valve gap abnormal fault by comparing the two algorithms and analyzing the results of real examples. On the basis of analyzing the essential of bp algorithm's learning process, the self-adapting slope function is used as the output function in neuron. The difference of the learning rate between the new bp algorithm and the standard bp algorithm is discussed. And based on it, how the rate difference is affected by the net inputs is analyzed. In this paper potential seismic sources in coastal region of South China are identified by integration of genetic algorithm (GA) and back propagation (bp algorithm). GA is used for finding the best parameter combination rapidly in an infinite solution space for artificial neural networks (ANN). The results show that the distribution of potential seismic sources with different upper magnitude demarcated by this classifier is mostly satisfied the intrinsic relationship between seismic environment and earthquake occurrence, with less effect from subjective judgment of human being.

In real-world scenarios, it is common to apply a damping layer of a specific thickness to the surface of an acoustic black hole (ABH) beam to boost its energy dissipation capacity. However, it has become apparent that excessive damping layers might result in negative consequences. The present study suggests employing the backpropagation (bp) algorithm to refine the positioning, thickness, and contour of the damping layer for optimal results. This study begins with the derivation of a semi-analytical solution for the vibration characteristics of an ABH beam under a harmonic load using the Gaussian expansion method (GEM). This process results in the preliminary identification of a thickness profile for the damping layer that exhibits significant potential for energy dissipation. Subsequently, a bp neural network is trained on the data produced by the semi-analytical solution to further optimize this thickness variation function. The findings reveal that the geometry of the damping layer has a more complex influence on performance than previously recognized. The optimization guided by the bp neural network suggests that achieving a strong ABH effect does not require uniform application of the damping layer across the entire ABH section. Rather, the most effective approach is to concentrate the damping layer thickness at the ABH tip, with a rapid decrease in thickness as one moves away from this point. It is also determined that applying a damping layer in areas far from the tip is unnecessary. Additionally, an innovative strategy is proposed to enhance the system's energy dissipation capabilities without changing the truncation thickness of the ABH beam. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of how the damping layer affects the energy dissipation performance of ABH beams.

Frequency diverse array (FDA) beams show an "S" shape in space and cannot form a spot beam;thus, they cannot be directly combined with spotlight synthetic aperture radar (SSAR). In this paper, we propose a 2D imaging system emitting multiple repeated subpulses using an FDA and spotlight synthetic aperture radar (MRS-FDA-SSAR). This system carries the FDA on an airborne platform and uses the frequency difference between the array elements to synthesize broadband signals and obtain the distance-direction resolution, and then it uses a synthetic aperture technique to obtain the azimuth-direction resolution. Subsequently, 2D imaging results are obtained using the bp algorithm. A deconvolution algorithm is introduced to address the problem of high target sidelobes in the bp imaging results, which can result in the masking of weak targets. This allows 2D imaging results to be obtained with lower sidelobes. Finally, the MRS-FDA-SSAR model was simulated in experiments to verify its effectiveness.

The development trend of music genres tends to be homogenous, due to the reduction of music production costs, changes in market demand and the consolidation of composers' thinking. In this article, the significance of each feature of music is inferred through the XGBoost algorithm, and further evidence of music homogeneity is obtained from the time series analysis of feature decomposition. In addition, we propose a high-performance music prediction system that combines Node2vec and bp algorithm to consider the influence of composers on the music revolution. It is concluded that the Node2vec-bp algorithm has higher generalization ability and accuracy than the traditional bp algorithm.
