A ferroelectric-gated graphene field-effect transistor was fabricated by consecutively stacking two distinct graphene-ferroelectric hybrid ribbons at right angles. Two graphene layers play different roles. One graphene layer acts as a gate electrode and the other graphene layer acts as a channel between two electrodes, source and drain. Electric gating at the gate graphene modulates the resistance of the channel graphene. By means of ferroelectric polarisation, bistable resistance states of the channel graphene could be recorded, and the retention time of bistability was estimated to be 460 days by extrapolating of two resistance values in time-resistance relationships. Furthermore, the underlying concept to fabricate bistable memory device was extended to the methodology to realise a logic-gate device by stacking three distinct graphene-ferroelectric hybrid ribbons.

【目的】评价骆驼来源的纳米抗体c Ab BcII10作为非抗体亲和力转移骨架的潜能,采用亲和力转移的方法,将FSHR结合肽段移植到c Ab BcII10的抗原结合区以快速获得抗FSHR抗体。【方法】将FSHR结合肽FSH33-53编码序列,分别移植入纳米抗体c Ab BcII10的cDR1和cDR3区域中,命名为VHH-h FSH1和VHH-h FSH3。采用DNA合成方法获得VHH-h FSH1,VHH-h FSH3和c Ab BcII10的DNA编码序列,把这些DNA序列克隆到p ET22b载体上,将其转化到BL21(DE3)感受态细胞中。经过诱导和表达再用Ni离子亲和纯化获得纯的单域抗体。采取ELISA方法鉴定纯化的c Ab BcII10,VHH-h FSH1、VHH-h FSH3与FSHR的结合能力及特异性。【结果】通过框架移植获得的VHH-h FSH1,VHH-h FSH3和c Ab BcII10蛋白均在细菌胞间质可溶性表达。将FSHR结合肽FSH33-53移植到c Ab BcII10的cDR3获得的VHH-h FSH3具有特异结合FSHR活性。【结论】c Ab BcII10可以作为移植的框架,FSH和FSHR结合肽段移植到c Ab BcII10的cDR1和cDR3区可以获得亲和性较高的抗FSHR抗体。

A graphene cantilever beam of arbitrary shape by patterning suspended graphene using a focused ion beam (FIB) is fabricated. Suspended graphene was formed by transferring graphene over a trench structure and patterned the suspended graphene into a cantilever beam structure. When the suspended graphene is patterned by an FIB, the high-ion irradiation of FIB deforms the shape of the cantilever beam;in contrast, low-ion irradiation cannot penetrate the suspended graphene. An evaluation of the ion irradiation dose of the FIB and the damages caused to the suspended graphene confirmed that in the case of few-layer graphene with a maximum of three layers, optimum processing can be performed by an ion irradiation of 6 x 10(16) ions/cm(2). Under this condition, a graphene cantilever beam with a width of 1.34 m and a length of 2.13 m could be fabricated. Furthermore, the Raman spectroscopy results indicate that the FIB process does not significantly change the properties of the graphene.

In this paper, we propose a new algorithm to find the optimal static replicating portfolios for general path-independent nonlinear pay-off functions and give an estimate for the rate of convergence that is absent in the literature. We choose the static replication by designing an adaptation function arising in the error bound between the nonlinear pay-off function and the linear spline approximation and derive the equidistribution equation for selecting the optimal strikes. The numerical tests for variance swaps, swaptions, static quadratic hedges and also for a jump-diffusion process, allowing for the default of the underlying asset, show that the proposed iterative equidistribution equation algorithm is simple, fast and accurate. The paper generalizes and improves the results on static replication and approximation in the literature.

Under adverse environmental conditions the nematode caenorhabditis elegans can enter an alternate developmental stage called the dauer larva. To identify lipophilic signaling molecules that influence this process, we screened a library of bioactive lipids and found that AM251, an antagonist of the human cannabinoid (cB) receptor, suppresses dauer entry in daf-2 insulin receptor mutants. AM251 acted synergistically with glucose supplementation indicating that the metabolic status of the animal influenced the activity of this compound. Similarly, loss of function mutations in the energy-sensing AMP-activated kinase subunit, aak-2, enhanced the dauer-suppressing effects of AM251, while constitutive activation of aak-2 in neurons was sufficient to inhibit AM251 activity. chemical epistasis experiments indicated that AM251 acts via G-protein signaling and requires the TGF- ligand DAF-7, the insulin peptides DAF-28 and INS-6, and a functional ASI neuron to promote reproductive growth. AM251 also required the presence of the SER-5 serotonin receptor, but in vitro experiments suggest that this may not be via a direct interaction. Interestingly, we found that other antagonists of mammalian cB receptors also suppress dauer entry, while the nonselective cB receptor agonist, O-2545, not only inhibited the activity of AM251, but also was able to promote dauer entry when administered alone. Since worms do not have obvious orthologs of cB receptors, the effects of syntheticcBs on neuroendocrine signaling in c. elegans are likely to be mediated via another, as yet unknown, receptor mechanism. However, we cannot exclude the existence of a noncanonical cB receptor in c. elegans.

Few can deny the diverse applications of NoSQL Database technology today. The last decade has witnessed an exponential rise in not only data generation but also in the manipulation and management of the same. NoSQL Technologies have engendered a new platform for large enterprises to come up and have provided them a wide vista for data manipulation. Moreover, existing technologies have been augmented with the unique features that this technology offers. Apache cassandra is one of the leading NoSQL Databases today. The rise of cassandra has also given rise to corresponding high level client drivers. There are several drivers present today for interfacing cassandra with languages such as PHP, Java, c++, etc. However, to the best of our knowledge, no such driver for c exists. This paper proposes such a driver, 'cascket' that allows direct communication of cassandra over c without the existence of a middle-ware.
