This paper considers the experience of translating the correspondence between c.G. Jung and Erich Neumann as part of the Philemon series. The translator explores the similarities between analytical work and the task of translation by means of the concepts of the dialectical third and the interactional field. The history and politics of the translation of analytic writing and their consequences for the lingua franca of analysis are discussed. Key themes within the correspondence are outlined, including Jung and Neumann's pre-war exploration of Judaism and the unconscious, the post-war difficulties around the publication of Neumann's Depth Psychology and a New Ethic set against the early years of the c.G. Jung Institute in Zurich, and the development of the correspondents' relationship over time. Translations of abstract cet article s'interesse a l'experience de traduire la correspondance entre c.G. Le traducteur explore les similarites entre le travail analytique et le travail de traduction, utilisant la conception dialectique du tiers et la notion de champ interactionnel. Between the First and Second World Wars, two retired British military officers, Francis Yeats-Brown and J. F. c. Fuller, embraced fascism and yoga. In their publications and lecture tours, they used their past experiences as soldiers in India to encourage strength, discipline, and virility. While Fuller believed that yoga could teach men to be strong and powerful leaders, Yeats-Brown celebrated yoga as a part of Aryan racial inheritance. This article examines both Fuller's and Yeats-Brown's published accounts and archival trails in order to understand the development of global masculinities within individual British lives. It reveals that their engagement with yoga was a defensive effort to appropriate the regeneration of martial masculinity encouraged by Indian nationalists. claiming yoga for great men and Aryan audiences became a way to rewrite their own histories of service to the British Empire. They erased the weakness and fragility of imperial life, and replaced it with idealized bodies that were strong, disciplined, and virile. In so doing, they attempted to save imperial soldiers from political and cultural irrelevance. This reimagining used imperial hierarchies of gender and racial difference to encourage a universal model of martial masculinity that could restore the power of the British Empire.

AIM:To identify factors that influence long-term liver function following radiofrequency ablation(RFA)in patients with viral hepatitis-related hepatocellular ***:A total of 123 patients with hepatitis B virus-or hepatitis c virus-related hepatocellular carcinoma(Hcc)(n=12 and n=111,respectively)were *** rates of worsening child-Pugh(cP)scores(defined as a 2-point increase)were ***:cP score worsening was confirmed in 22patients over a mean follow-up period of 43.8±*** analysis identified cP class,platelet count,and aspartate aminotransferase levels as significant predictors of a worsening cP score(P=0.000,P=0.011 and P=0.024,respectively).In contrast,repeated RFA was not identified as a risk factor for liver function ***:Long-term liver function following RFA was dependent on liver functional reserve,the degreeof fibrosis present,and the activity of the hepatitis condition for this ***,in order to maintain liver function for an extended period following RFA,suppression of viral hepatitis activity is important even after the treatment of Hcc.

Recent discussions on the African short story tend to focus on the efforts to promote short-story writing, especially through literary prizes. critics sceptical of such prizes argue that writers may be tempted to write only on topics that the audience hosting the prize is eager to read about. Only rarely do such conversations on the African short story critically engage with the stories. Doing so would reveal that four recent award-winning African short stories, Folarin's Miracle', Bulawayo's Hitting Budapest', Osondu's Waiting', and Owuor's The Weight of Whispers', set into relief global problems such as poverty, hunger, political strife and immigration to carry a causticcritique of the very audience to whose tastes they are believed to pander. I locate this critique in examples of refusals of assistance, roundabout comments and misconstruals of meaning as the ways in which the solutions are deferred. I call these examples gaps between problems and solutions that all four authors use to point out the failure of largely Western-based aid agencies such as the International Monetary Fund, World Bank and other organizations in solving global challenges. This accusation of Western-based agencies, folded into a surprising critique of the audience who crowns the fiction of these writers, becomes obvious when these stories are read in opposition to iterations that theorize the world as independent of national boundaries. The short stories, I argue, thus develop a supplementary critique.

This article explores the ways in which Romesh Gunesekera's novel The Match (2006) presents cricket as a versatile and democraticcultural practice. It argues that cricket is a worldly game in Edward's Said's sense, being both a versatile practice and an extremely mobile signifier. cricket's styles and meanings are radically refashioned by players and spectators alike, in different periods and, crucially, in different places across the diverse and unevenly developed territories to which the game has travelled. Then, with the aid of a brief consideration of c.L.R. James's Beyond a Boundary (1963), his classic study of the ways in which cricket is played and watched in the anglophone caribbean, the article goes on to suggest that cricket is also a potentially utopian form of cultural practice. Gunesekera's novel furnishes images of cricket's capacity to register and envision alternatives to the trauma and violence of postcolonial history.

The Malmesbury Teseo was actually copied by William Babell, the scribe known as rm1 and h2. Several manuscripts listed in Dean's 'Table 4: rm1 copies' exhibit detailed similarities with manuscripts supposedly written by Linike, Beta, rm4, J. c. Smith Sr and others. These similarities include decorative act and scene titles which Dean admits could all be by the same scribe. That scribe, I conclude, was William Babell, who also copied the musical text of many of these manuscripts. Since Babell's hand is extremely variable, I avoid the usual methods of identifying copyists by shapes of clefs, notes, rests etc. and instead draw attention to idiosyncrasies of spelling and graphic decoration and similarities of binding which indicate that Babell acted as Handel's principal copyist from c.1711 until his death in 1723.
