This project is a smart eye tracking system which is designed for people with disabilities and elderly people. The concept of this research is to apply eye movement to control appliances, wheelchair and communicate with caretaker. This system comprises four components, imaging processing module, wheelchair-controlled module, appliances-controlled module and SMS manager module. The image processing module consists of webcam and c++ customized image processing, the eye movement image is captured and transmitted to Raspberry Pi microcontroller for processing with OpencV to derive the coordinate of eye ball. The coordinate of eye ball is utilized for cursor control on the Raspberry Pi screen to control the system. Besides the eye movement, the eye blink is applied in this system for entering a command as when you press Enter button on keyboard. The wheelchair-controlled module is a cradle with two servos that can be moved to two dimensions and also adaptable to other wheelchair joysticks. This system also remotely controls some appliances and communicate with caretaker via send message to smartphone.

Metagenome assembly is the process of transforming a set of short, overlapping, and potentially erroneous DNA segments from environmental samples into the accurate representation of the underlying microbiomes's genomes. State-of-the-art tools require big shared memory machines and cannot handle contemporary metagenome datasets that exceed Terabytes in size. In this paper, we introduce the MetaHipMer pipeline, a high-quality and high-performance metagenome assembler that employs an iterative de Bruijn graph approach. MetaHipMer leverages a specialized scaffolding algorithm that produces long scaffolds and accommodates the idiosyncrasies of metagenomes. MetaHipMer is end-to-end parallelized using the Unified Parallel c language and therefore can run seamlessly on shared and distributed-memory systems. Experimental results show that MetaHipMer matches or outperforms the state-of-the-art tools in terms of accuracy. Moreover, MetaHipMer scales efficiently to large concurrencies and is able to assemble previously intractable grand challenge metagenomes. We demonstrate the unprecedented capability of MetaHipMer by computing the first full assembly of the Twitchell Wetlands dataset, consisting of 7.5 billion reads - size 2.6 TBytes.

In this paper, multiple stacks are implemented in software and multi-core hardware System on chip for suitability and improvement of performance speed. The hardware stacks are tested with the application of delimiter matching in a program and they showed faster run time compared to the software-based stacks. The implemented design of 16 programmable logic cores on the Xilinx Zynq-7000 chip located on the Zybo board has achieved a run time of 13.9ms when applying a matching delimiter test on a code of 16 random equations written in c language.

The GNU Multi-Precision library is a widely used, safety-critical, library for arbitrary-precision arithmetic. Its source code is written in c and assembly, and includes intricate state-of-the-art algorithms for the sake of high performance. Formally verifying the functional behavior of such highly optimized code, not designed with verification in mind, is challenging. We present a fully verified library designed using the Why3 program verifier. The use of a dedicated memory model makes it possible to have the Why3 code be very similar to the original GMP code. This library is extracted to c and is compatible and performance-competitive with GMP.

The security is key concern in our daily life. A key protected access control module is an elementary part of all security systems. It allows only the authorized people to enter into a restricted zone. This work focuses on the design and development of a digital code lock system with display for students demonstration purpose. Being designed for illustration purpose, the system has easily accessible inputs and outputs to each module. In order to keep the system cost effective with an ease of reimplementation. The low cost and easily market available discrete analog components are employed. The digital part is kept configurable with the help of a microcontroller based implementation. It allows an easy alteration of the master code in order to improvethe system security. The digital module implementation is done via c language. The system implementation is described. Testing results are also presented. These results assure a proper functionality of the designed system.

The system of DES being issued by ISO is a data encryption standard. After analyzing the arithmetic of DES, this article brings forward realizing DES using c language. passing circulation or iteration this article uses ordinary base arithmetic (for example, shift left, shift right, addition of mode 2, etc an). and commutation (choice function, replace function) constructing the nonlinear transform of data stream (encipher commutation or decrypt commutation) to realize cryptogrammic protect for the data of computer. The user interface of FANUc cNc system provides only the basic functions, leading to the state and performance of the real-time data can't be shown to the users, and affect the machining accuracy, efficiency and machine maintenance. A method is proposed that the independent user interface of FANUc cNc system developed in c language for secondary, designed the friendly Human-Machine interface. The function of the interface have real-time processing to extract the status screen, classification detection devices screen, self-diagnosis display screen, help information display screen etc. After the application of cNc machine, the machine failure rate has dropped, the maintenance time has be reduced, and it can reflect the designer's intent and style of the machine manufacturer.

A Novel concept for Guidance and control of Spacecraft Orbital Maneuvers

The purpose of this paper is the design of guidance and control algorithms for orbital space maneuvers. A 6-dof orbital simulator, based on clohessy-Wiltshire-Hill equations, is developed in c language, considering cold gas reaction thrusters and reaction wheels as actuation system. The computational limitations of on-board computers are also included. A combination of guidance and control algorithms for an orbital maneuver is proposed: (i) a suitably designed Zero-Effort-Miss/Zero-Effort-Velocity (ZEM/ZEV) algorithm is adopted for the guidance and (ii) a linear quadratic regulator (LQR) is used for the attitude control. The proposed approach is verified for different cases, including external environment disturbances and errors on the actuation system.

Robust controller design of SGcMG driven by hollow USM

This work proposes a design for robust control system of a single-gimbal control moment gyro (SGcMG) driven by a hollow ultrasonic motor. considering the nonlinear characteristic of the whole system, the fuzzy Takage-Sugeno control theory was introduced to achieve a robust control over wide range stability. Based on the proposed control theory, the parameters of feedback control of close loop were determined, and a whole system model has been build for system simulation and robust controller research. The simulation results have shown the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm. The proposed controller was implemented on an embedded microcontroller unit through c language. On the actual system of SGcMG driven by ultrasonic motor, a sinusoidal signal speed tracking has shown that the speed error less 0.5A degrees/s and the close loop system express a good stability over a referenced speed range of 0.2-72A degrees/s. Step response experiments shown that the system fast response time without overshot. The experiments have verified the proposed robust control algorithm in speed, robustness and stability.
