This paper focuses on spatial data characteristics of coalfield geological information and uses GIS technology to analyze and manage geological information resources of the coalfield efficiently. It also designs the geographic information system of coalfield and receives the secondary development of GIS database system using ArcGIS. In the development and design process of database system, this paper uses the ArcEngine component and develops data system in the Net platform of MircoSoft company and uses programming control method of c # programming language to manage coalfield geology data. Finally, this paper establishes the contact between the data content, data attribute and geographic information system. It designs visual information view mode of coalfield geology. It improves management efficiency of coalfield's geological information and provides technical reference for the study of coalfield's geology information.

Photovoltaic (PV) penetration has increased significantly in the last decade. PV Penetration with optimal capacity and location can reduce feeder power losses. The aims are to investigate degradation characteristics of feeder power loss value due to PV penetration in some radial distribution system and to obtain the smallest losses based on its characteristics to determine optimal PV capacity and installation location on radial distribution system. The simulation used DIgSILENT Powerfactory 14.1 to obtain losses data of the feeder. PV penetration location is varied from the nearest substation to the farthest bus from substation. The losses characteristics as the shift of the installation location of the PV to the end of the feeder produces the second order polynomial graph (y = ax2- bx + c, a> 0) and the function graph of x with the negative (y = ax-c). This characteristic is used in calculation with c programming to determine the optimal location and capacity of PV, where the result of determining the optimum point is in accordance with the result of simulation, but it has different value of feeder power loss of 11.18 %. By simulation, optimal PV location with range 42.1%- 89.47% or average 67.25% feeder length from substation with 80%- 90% penetration. (c) 2019 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.

This paper presents the design and implementation of a two course freshman year sequence at a multi-disciplinary engineering school. The driver for this change was the interdisciplinary academic environment. The previous course sequence consisted of a cAD/cAM graphical communication course followed by a traditional c programming course. The cAD/cAM course consists of two hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory and covered graphical communication coupled with laboratory cAM activities as one semester (13 weeks) course. This particular course is named "EGR-101: Introduction to cAD/cAM" and this required course is the first engineering course that all freshmen identifying themselves as pre-engineering take. The c programming course was delivered using two hours of lecture and three hours of lab as a one semester (13 weeks) course. This particular course is named "EGR-261: Structured programming in c" and this course is the second engineering course that all freshmen are required to take. The new combined sequence of courses includes similar topics with the addition of an introduction to basic electronics and microcontrollers. It was delivered using a two hour block and three hour block divided as needed between lecture and laboratory with mixed topics of cAD/cAM and c programming. A two semester open ended design and build project was used to combine the course elements. Final assessment result will be presented to evaluate the effect of the changes.

Automatic parallelization is necessary for all system. Every person wants the program to execute as soon as possible. Now Days, programmer want to get run faster the sequential program. Automatic parallelization is the greatest challenge in now days. Parallelization implies converting the sequential code to parallel code to getting better utilization of multi-core processor. In parallelization, multi-core use the memory in sharing mode or massage passing. Now day's programmers don't want to take extra overheads of parallelization because they want it from the compiler that's called automatic parallelization. Its main reason is to free the programmers from manual parallelization process. The conversion of a program into parallelize form is very complex work due to program analysis and an unknown value of the variable during compile time. The main reason of conversion is execution time of program due to loops, so the most challenging task is to parallelize the loops and run it on multi-core by breaking the loop iterations. In parallelization process, the compiler must have to check the dependent between loop statements that they are independent of each other. If they are dependent or effect the other statement by running the statement in parallel, so it does not convert it. After checking the dependency, test converts it into parallelization by using OpenMP API. We add some line of OpenMP for enabling parallelization in the loop.

This paper presents a study about how efficient implementation of software changes helps students to better understanding of programming techniques and algorithms. The study is performed during last three years on first year students, considering applications classes for two first year courses: computer programming part I and part II. There are taken into account some partial results during the semester, final exams and also some questionnaires accomplished by students. The ratings for this study are imported from a database. The study is regarding around eight hundred students.

Behavior-based robotics is a novel approach to robotic programming whereby multiple behaviors execute in parallel using a multilayer architecture, organized by priority. However, in certain architectures, such as the subsumption architecture pioneered by Rodney Brooks, only one such behavior can be active at a time, requiring their coordination. Supporting such architectures requires hardware/software resources for multithreaded support for behaviors to execute concurrently. This makes behavior-based programming inaccessible to small educational robotics platforms usually powered by a uniprocessor (single-threaded) execution model. In this paper, we present an approach employed for an introductory Mobile Robotics course at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln that allows our students to both learn and implement behavior-based robotic programming using the c language on a uniprocessor-based mobile robotics platform known as the cEENBoT. This allows students to learn about robot programming using physical, situated robots, using a valuable language employed in embedded systems, supporting common goals of EcE programs, instead of relying on uncommon languages that have fallen into disuse and are quickly becoming obsolete. Results obtained from end-of-semester surveys are shown to demonstrate that students value the behavior-based elements of the course above other unique features it has to offer.

programming can be an important part of a linear systems (***., signal and systems) course, as programming projects help to solidify mathematical concepts and provide students with a means to visualize and interpret signal and coefficient behavior. However, students often struggle with programming, leading to frustration that minimizes learning and worsens student attitudes toward the material. To address that need, the Kansas State University (KSU) Electrical & computer Engineering (EcE) Department recently added a required course, EcE 540 Applied Scientific computing, to the EcE curricula to ensure more overall c programming exposure and to serve as a prerequisite to EcE 512 Linear Systems and other courses that require programming. This paper presents initial assessments of student preparedness for c programming projects in the Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 offerings of EcE 512 following this course prerequisite change. The primary assessment mechanisms are pre- and post-project surveys that address students' proficiency in c, where the survey results are compared to similar surveys offered in prior semesters unaffected by the new course. These analyses indicate greater overall confidence in c programming, a better understanding of the supporting development environments, and an overall improved attitude toward Linear Systems programming projects.

We discuss the design and implementation of lazy multivariate power series, univariate polynomials over power series, and their associated arithmetic within the Basic Polynomial Algebra Subprograms (BPAS) Library. This implementation is employed by lazy variations of Weierstrass preparation and the factorization of univariate polynomials over power series following Hensel's lemma. Our implementation is lazy in that power series terms are only computed when explicitly requested. The precision of a power series is dynamically extended upon request, without requiring any re-computation of existing terms. This design extends into an ``ancestry'' of power series whereby power series created from the result of arithmetic or Weierstrass preparation automatically hold on to enough information to dynamically update themselves to higher precision using information from their ``parents''.

The Systematic construction of a Valid Domain Ontology

This study incorporates the strategy of the incremental model, to construct a valid domain ontology. The advantages of the proposed solution are manifold. From the development aspect, it can reduce the development time for domain-specific ontology and rapidly modify ontology, according to the purpose and needs. From the software aspect, it is efficient in its, sharing and reuse of the constructed ontology. From the research aspect, the valid ontology can be used to store and classify the corresponding knowledge. A domain ontology of c language, based on the proposed method, is then developed. To assess the performance of the constructed ontology, five experts and scholars are invited and F1-measure is also applied to appraise the ontology. Findings show that the established domain ontology of c language is valid.
