contribution: In this study, an object tuple model has been proposed, and a quasi-experimental study on its usage in an introductory programminglanguagecourse has been reported. This work can be adopted by all clanguage teachers and students in learning pointer and array-related concepts. Background: clanguage has been extensively employed in numerous universities as an introductory programming practice. However, the pointer and array have long been recognized as some of the most difficult concepts for novice students learning clanguage. To help students become familiar with the concept of pointer and array and also their related operations, a comprehensive understanding from memory management's perspective might be helpful. Research Questions: 1) How does the object tuple model help students understand all kinds of object types from a generalized perspective? 2) Why is it important to let the students consider multiple arrays from a 1-D perspective? and 3) How do the memory-oriented operations from the object's perspective help students comprehensively understand the pointer and array? Methodology: The students were divided into experimental and control groups, and the object tuple model was presented in the experimental group. An examination was conducted at end of the semester, and test data were gathered for further analysis. Findings: The proposed object tuple model is effective in giving students clear guidance and helping them further understand the pointer and array in clanguage.

Microcontrollers are low-cost, dedicated computer chips that are found in a wide variety of consumer products and commercial applications. With the availability of low-cost development kits with easy-to-use programming interfaces, projects were developed to provide a hands-on introduction to the hardware interfacing and software development of microcontrollers for simple applications. The intended audience of the projects is first- or second-year students with little or no experience with microcontrollers, programming, or electronics. Students construct the electronic interfaces and drivers of basic I/O devices and program a simple 8-pin microcontroller in the cprogramminglanguage to control the I/O of various projects. The projects involve sequencing of lights, synthesis of sound, motor speed control, and sensor interfacing. The projects have been successfully tested over the last two years in our one-credit Introduction to Electrical and computer Engineering course, taken by all first-semester Electrical and computer Engineering sophomores;and, more recently, they are serving as the laboratory-component of our freshmen year Engineering and programming Applications course.

The mixed teaching mode based on the flipped classroom, adhere to the concept of "Student-centered Development". Aiming at the characteristics of many knowledge points of programmingcourses and high requirements for comprehensive application ability, online and offline mixed teaching practice was carried out. The Xuexitong APP is used to establish online teaching resources. The online and offline mixed teaching mode runs through the three teaching links before, during and after the class, expanding the teaching space, strengthening classroom interaction, and improving the classroom effect. The mixed teaching mode, which is problem oriented, inquiry based and teacher+student oriented, has effectively improved the learning effect of students and the teaching quality.

In this paper some results concerning the application of symbolically oriented manipulations in the implementation of cADcS tools are presented. The considerations relate mainly to the D2M package performing the transformation of graphically defined model structures and symbolically described input-output relations into MATLAB source code files containing combined model representation in the algorithmic form. A clanguage implementation of the method of generation of the model specific sequences of symbolic algebraic operations is presented. The advantages of the proposed approach are discussed and illustrated with an example.
