The IEC 61131 standard is commonly used for the programming of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). One of the graphical languages of this standard is the ladder logic diagram based on the circuit diagrams of relay logic systems. This paper reports on a tool that enables the control system engineer to compare two ladder logic based programs developed in the Rockwell Automation RSLogix5000 environment and to display the differences in both textual and graphical form. The comparison employs modified Token Passing, Longest Common Subsequence and Longest Common Substring algorithms performed upon the XML representation of the RSLogix5000 project. This paper describes the steps in the whole comparison procedure and demonstrates this solution including visual comparison on examples shown in our implemented tool.

3D Multi-View Video (MVV) coded bit-streams that are transmitted over error prone channels can suffer from error propagation in the space, time and view domains. To improve the quality of reconstructed 3D MVV, we propose optimized Error Concealment (EC) algorithms to conceal the erroneous blocks of intra-coded and inter-coded frames. Our proposed algorithms adapt to the motion characteristics of the 3D MVV and to the error patterns. We propose three adaptive EC algorithms for intra-frames, which are Adaptive Time Domain Error Concealment (ATDEC), Adaptive Space Domain Error Concealment (ASDEC) and a hybrid Adaptive Space-Time Domain Error Concealment (ASTDEC). We also propose three adaptive EC algorithms for inter-frames, which are Adaptive Inter-View Domain Error Concealment (AIVDEC), Adaptive Time Domain Error Concealment (ATDEC) and joint Adaptive Time and Inter-View Domain Error Concealment (ATIVDEC). Our simulation results show that the proposed optimized EC algorithms can significantly improve the objective and subjective 3D MVV quality transmitted over error prone channels.

change detection is the process of automatically identifying and analyzing region that have undergone spatial or spectral changes from multi temporal images. Detecting and representing change provides valuable information of the possible transformations a given scene has suffered over time. change detection is used in several applications (eg. Disaster management, deforestation, urbanization, etc). In the proposed unsupervised method co-registered and radiometrically corrected temporal images are used as input. Using this, absolute valued image and log ratio image is calculated to get difference image. These difference images are fused using Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT). Then, min-mean normalization is applied to the get filtered data. The normalized data is clustered into two groups using K-means clustering algorithm as changed pixels and unchanged pixels. Experiment result is also calculated using two different ways. In first, fused image data is given to Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and clustering is done using K-means algorithm and in second way Fuzzy c-means clustering algorithm is used to cluster image data.

The paper presents a multitemporal algorithm for the detection of burned areas using daily SPOT-VEGETATION multispectral remotely sensed data. The algorithm is based on a change detection approach, where the variation of the radiance due to the viewing/illumination geometry is explicitly taken into account. The algorithm, which has been developed in the framework of the GBA2000 initiative, has been applied to the Mexico for the dry season of year 2000.

Energy efficiency and data reliability have always been the key problem in WSN. In this paper, firstly, a selection of cluster head algorithm is designed which is able to detect the energy change of nodes, rapidly ascertain new cluster head, and avoid excessive energy consumption between cluster head and cluster nodes. Secondly, differentiated service is introduced in our algorithm which makes achieve higher data reliability. Finally, evaluating our algorithm reliability and energy consumption, the simulation results show that it obtains higher data reliability, and simultaneously achieves lower energy consumption.

A fast and precise obtainment of static background in image sequence is key step in monitor control system. A real-time algorithm of dynamic extraction for static background is put forward by means of the characteristics in environment and moving objects with static background. Large amounts of experimental results demonstrate that the algorithm has the properties of rapidity, simplicity, applicability and a small dependence with weather.

Tracking multi-nonrigid moving objects in the clutter background is a difficult problem in video object segmentation. This paper presents an improved semiautomatic algorithm. First, we manually draw multiple smallest rectangles to contain the same number of moving objects respectively, called rectangle of interest. Second, the multiple moving objects are automatically obtained and tracked using Hausdorff distance transformation in the video sequence. Third, the binary edges are closed and the video object planes are extracted through a new method presented in this paper. It can segment multiple moving objects from the clutter background, not only solving the problem of uncovered background and aperture, but also closing the convex or concave contours of the objects and extract the VOPs from the video sequence. Experimental results demonstrate the performance of our proposed algorithm.

In follow-up CT examinations of cancer patients, therapy success is evaluated by estimating the change in tumor size from diameter or volume comparison between corresponding lesions. We present an algorithm that automatizes the detection of matching lesions, given a baseline segmentation mask. It is generally applicable and does not need an organ mask or CAD findings, only a coarse registration of the datasets is required. In the first step, lesion candidates are identified in a local area based on gray value filtering and detection of circular structures using a Hough transform. On all candidate voxels, a template matching is performed minimizing normalized cross-correlation. The method was evaluated on clinical follow-up data comprising 94 lung nodules, 107 liver metastases, and 137 lymph nodes. The ratio of correctly detected lesions was 96%, 84% and 85%, respectively, at an average computation time of 0.9 s per lesion on a standard PC.

Automatic steering of tractor-semitrailer is studied with integrated control, detection and isolation of sensor and actuator fault (FDI) in closed loop. We formulate both the steering control and the fault detection and isolation problems using LMI-based H/sub /spl infin// design. Controller reduction is performed using cone complementary linearization algorithm. The performance of the steering controller and FDI capabilities are simulated by considering several maneuvers such as lane keeping and lane change with parameter variations and sensor and actuator faults.

A new flashlight scene detection approach is presented. It focuses on two techniques: a new flashlight model based on the spatial-temporal characteristics of intensity value for the DC sequence, and a local threshold selection scheme using the sliding window. The advantages of this approach are its good performance for multi-frame and gradual flashlight scene cases, and local threshold selection. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is fast, robust and high accuracy
