The clustering model and algorithm of PPI network based on propagating mechanism of artificial bee colony

Recently there are a large number of clustering methods applied to discover modules in protein-protein interaction (PPI) networks. However, due to the small-world and scale-free properties of PPI networks, most of them do not work well. This paper proposed a novel artificial bee colony (ABC) clustering model based on propagating mechanism. The ABC model based on propagating mechanism consisted of three different functions of bees which were named after queen, drone, and brood. The queen was regarded as a cluster center, and the drones stood for the sorted nodes according to the descending order of the aggregation coefficient of edge connecting these nodes with the queen node. The queen mated with the drones in order to cluster PPI data. In the end, the brood which is well-developed would be regarded as the new queen and went on a new mating-flight until all the nodes had been visited. This model could automatically obtain the cluster number during the clustering procedure, and the time complexity was greatly reduced. The simulation experiments on MIPS dataset showed that it performed well in terms of several criteria such as precision, recall and running time. (C) 2013 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.

Robust vocabulary recognition clustering model using an average estimator least mean square filter in noisy environments

Noise estimation and detection algorithms must adapt to a changing environment quickly, so they use a least mean square (LMS) filter. However, there is a downside. An LMS filter is very low, and it consequently lowers speech recognition rates. In order to overcome such a weak point, we propose a method to establish a robust speech recognition clustering model for noisy environments. Since this proposed method allows the cancelation of noise with an average estimator least mean square (AELMS) filter in a noisy environment, a robust speech recognition clustering model can be established. With the AELMS filter, which can preserve source features of speech and decrease the degradation of speech information, noise in a contaminated speech signal gets canceled, and a Gaussian state model is clustered as a method to make noise more robust. By composing a Gaussian clustering model, which is a robust speech recognition clustering model, in a noisy environment, recognition performance was evaluated. The study shows that the signal-to-noise ratio of speech, which was improved by canceling environment noise that kept changing, was enhanced by 2.8 dB on average, and recognition rate improved by 4.1 %.

The topology management, i.e., clusters maintenance, of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is still a challenge due to its numerous nodes, diverse application scenarios and limited resources as well as complex dynamics. To address this issue, a multi-mode clustering model ((MCM)-C-2) is proposed to maintain the clusters for hierarchical WSNs in this study. In particular, unlike the traditional time-trigger model based on the whole-network and periodic style, the (MCM)-C-2 is proposed based on the local and event-trigger operations. In addition, an adaptive local maintenance algorithm is designed for the broken clusters in the WSNs using the spatial-temporal demand changes accordingly. Numerical experiments are performed using the NS2 network simulation platform. Results validate the effectiveness of the proposed model with respect to the network maintenance costs, node energy consumption and transmitted data as well as the network lifetime. Application of the defect clustering model for forming, SET and RESET statistics in RRAM devices

The choice of the right statistical model to describe the distribution of switching parameters ( forming, SET and RESET voltages) is a critical requirement for RRAM, as it is used to analyze the worst case scenarios of operation that have to be accounted for while designing the cross-bar array structures, so as to ensure a robust design of the circuit and reliable data storage unit. Several models have been proposed in the recent past to characterize the voltage variations in V-FORM, V-SET. and V-RESET using the percolation framework. However, most of these models assume defect generation to be a Poisson process and apply the standard Weibull distribution for parameter extraction and lifetime extrapolation. Recent dielectric breakdown studies both at the front-end as well as back-end have shown that the Weibull statistics does not describe the stochastic trends well enough, more so in down-scaled structures at the low and high percentile regions given the possibility of defect clustering which is either physics-driven or process quality-driven. This, phenomenon of defect clustering is all the more applicable in the context of resistive random access memory (RRAM) devices, as switching occurs repeatedly at ruptured filament locations where defect clusters pre-exist. This study examines the validity of the clustering model for RRAM switching parameter statistics (time/voltage to FORM, SET and RESET) and presents a physical picture to explain the origin of clustering in RRAM. A large set of data from various published studies has been used here to test the suitability and need for a clustering model based reliability assessment. Dependence of the clustering factor on temperature, voltage, device area, dielectric microstructure and resistance state has also been examined. (C) 2016 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Time statistics for successive breakdown (BD) events in Al2O3/HfO2-based nanolaminates aimed to the development of multilevel one-time programmable (OTP) memory cells is investigated. The clustering model is shown to account for the departure of the experimental data from the standard Weibull model attributed to the initial leakage current dispersion. An equivalent electrical circuit model is used to represent the stepwise current increase triggered by the appearance of multiple BD sites. Correlation effects in the order statistics are ascribed to a reduction of the effective stress voltage caused by the presence of a series resistance. It is shown that the E-model acceleration law for dielectric BD is consistent with the data obtained from our antifuse cells.

POISSON LIMITS FOR A clustering model OF STRAUSS

In this article we present a limiting result for the random variable Yn(r) which arises in a clustering model of Strauss (1975). The result is that under some sparseness-of-points conditions the process {Yn(r): 0 ≦ r ≦ r∞} converges weakly to a non-homogeneous Poisson process {Y(r): 0 ≦ r ≦ r∞} when n → ∞. Simulation results are given to indicate the accuracy of the approximation when n is moderate and applications of the limiting result to tests for clustering are discussed.

Similarities and disparities between time-dependent clustering model and combination-based approach are thoroughly investigated. It is shown that two approaches can provide similar description of non-uniform dielectric breakdown provided that a dielectric system can be rigorously characterized by two random variables and input parameters verified from independent experiments as in the case of FEOL gate dielectrics. On the other hand, the notion of a single thickness for complicated dielectric systems with multiple random variables as in BEOL and MOL applications is shown to be questionable. As a result, a two-random variable combination-based approach is not necessarily correct to model non-uniform dielectric breakdown without rigorous justification. In contrast, time-dependent clustering model is based on the fundamental preservation of area scaling properties of failure percentiles and failure times, rendering a fundamentally new methodology to characterize non-uniform dielectric breakdown as technology variability issues continue to rise for modern technology nodes.

In this work, we first review the characteristics and assumptions of the time-dependent clustering model and the sampling-based reconstruction methodology, two different approaches in dealing with breakdown statistics involving variability for modern BEOL low-kappa and FEOL high-kappa dielectrics. Then, similarities and differences of these two methodologies will be discussed in comparison with experiments. We show both methodologies can yield comparable results within the validity of their assumptions for dielectrics with small thickness variations. On the other hand, for BEOL low-k dielectrics with large variations, clustering model can be applied in both singlemode non-Weibull and bimodal distributions while the reconstruction methodology cannot be used.

In this paper, 2017's hurricane relief in Puerto Rico as the background, a k-means clustering model based on constrained multi-objective multi-sourced weber problem is introduced to determine the optimal locations of emergency material centers, which minimizes distance between road points and emergency supplies centers and weighted distance between hospitals and emergency supplies centers. To effectively solve the model aforementioned. a novel imperialist competitive algorithm (ICA) is proposed which compares two solutions with the lexicographical method. Finally, the results of real data are given and show the effectiveness in solving the problem.

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) can benefit from improved network lifetime and energy efficiency when routing algorithms are designed using clustering of sensor nodes. The main nodes in clustered WSNs, known as cluster heads, need more power since they have more work to do. As a result, finding the best cluster heads is a challenging issue. One way to reduce power consumption in WSNs is by using multi-hop routing protocols. But, because all nodes consume energy in an uneven manner, the network lifespan is still degraded. Consequently, in order to assess the efficacy of the suggested approach, we cross-validate it with the conventional model known as Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) and present an enhanced bee colony optimization model referred to as the Improved Bee Colony clustering model (IBCCM). The suggested IBCCM routing scheme aims to optimize energy consumption in wireless sensor networks. This is crucial because wireless network and IoT devices have limited energy reserves. Another goal is to make the network more adaptable so that it can smoothly adapt to unexpected changes, reducing disruptions and optimizing overall network performance. Algorithms take into account associated goals with informative-shaped rewards to speed up learning. By lowering data delivery delay and improving the packet delivery ratio compared to existing routing protocols, we showed via the different simulations that our approach enhanced energy efficiency and allowed for quick adaptability to unanticipated changes in the network. Using priority path selection, the nearest nodes with the lowest energy consumption are located instantly. Priority two is given to nodes with the smallest link costs if the minimum energy between their neighbours is equal. In various instances, the suggested technique is tested to see how well it performs. The simulation results demonstrate that the suggested protocol outperforms other comparable protocols that have been developed recently.
