In view of the traditional teaching quality evaluation method is not applicable to project of teaching quality evaluation problem, taking the "scientific computation and visualization" in the "Python Language Programming" course as an example, the project is divided into five sub-projects, re-construct the teaching quality evaluation system including 4 first-level indicators such as teaching attitude, teaching method, teaching content and teaching effect. It also includes 24 second-level indicators. Through the questionnaire survey of project quality teaching, the fuzzy clustering method is used to cluster the survey results, which gives the corresponding evaluation. The feasiuility and effectiveness of fuzzy clustering method in analyzing the quality of project teaching are verified.

In the online positioning stage of indoor positioning algorithm based on position fingerprint recognition, the positioning accuracy of edge points is not high after off-line clustering. An improved algorithm is proposed, which can effectively improve the location accuracy of the edge points in the location area. By incorporating neighborhood clustering into positioning reference, the method improves the positioning accuracy of edge positioning points, improves the overall indoor positioning effect, and improves the positioning accuracy to a certain extent. The simulation environment is built to verify the proposed algorithm. The experimental results show that the improved algorithm improves the positioning accuracy of edge locating points to a certain extent, and improves the overall positioning accuracy of edge locating points.

This paper discusses some concepts attributed to the term well-being and different ways to measure it. Then we present an alternative approach based on clustering algorithm to measure Quality of Life considering each dimension of the OECD well-being indicator, the Better Life Index, to minimize the loss of information encountered on aggregated indicators and to obtain a consistent and solid profile, a segmentation per dimension of the countries contemplated by this indicator. To build a consistent and solid profile, first we have standardized each variable, so the influence of a variable that is measured on a much larger scale than the other ones could be removed, then a k-means algorithm was applied for each dimension and the number of clusters was validated by the Silhouette Coefficient and by a visual inspection of the first two or three principal components (PCA) for dimensions with more than two variables. The resulting clusters could be finally analysed. The profiles are considered methodologically robust, because in all dimension we have found no negative values for the Silhouette Coefficient, meaning that the countries that belong to a certain cluster have a high similarity while different clusters held a high dissimilarity and additionally the PCA visual inspection have reinforced our analysis retaining, at least, 89% of common variance for dimension with more than two variables. Although the Better Life Index it's the most complete well-being indicator, considering 11 of the 14 well-being dimensions, only 38 countries are encompassed by the indicator, therefore inferences about countries outside this set may be not significant. Hence a detailed analysis of each dimension is necessary. In recent years, Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have been used widely due to their important roles in the Internet of Things (IoT) era. They provide a communication infrastructure to collect, transmit and exchange sensory data in varied IoT applications. Besides their advantages, WSNs have to overcome some challenges such as short network lifetime and the vulnerability of WSNs to uncertain environmental conditions. LEACH is one of the most famous clustering mechanisms to prolong a network lifetime by electing a cluster head based on a probability model. This paper proposes a novel clustering scheme based on LEACH protocol to adapt uncertain network conditions. In this paper, a novel method for extracting difficult to determine a suitable global threshold, and a large motion-blurred stars in high dynamic imaging environment amount of noise causes the connected domain analysis to take affected by stray light is proposed. According to the characteristic of the background noise, an adaptive threshold estimation algorithm for each pixel with down sampling method and block weighted least squares fitting is presented. Furthermore, based on the scanning method and DBSCAN clustering, a new algorithm for extracting pixels of each star is also proposed. The experimental results indicate that the proposed method can improve the accuracy and real-time performance of star image processing even affected by inhomogeneous stray light under high dynamic conditions. The centroid error can be reduced to less than 1 pixel even if the star is motion-blurred to more than 30 pixels and the peak gray value is relatively low.

The operational security of power systems for wind farm integration becomes more important as the penetration of wind generation increases. A wind farm may contain hundreds of wind turbines (WT) and thus the power system simulations based on the complex model of a WT consumes much time. This paper proposes an equivalent wind farm model with the frequency-regulation function. The main research works include the establishment of the generic model of a WT, the development of single- and multi-machine equivalent models for a large wind farm, the clustering of WTs based on the developed nonlinear wake model and the Fuzzy C-means (FCM) clustering algorithm, the integration of the frequency-regulation function into the equivalent wind farm (WF) model, and the validation of the developed equivalent WF model by various operating scenarios. The results demonstrate that the proposed multi-machine equivalent method based on the FCM clustering provides a more accurate model than a single-WT equivalent model. Consequently, the research results provides a solution for simulating a large-scale wind power integration, providing efficient, accurate, and fast steady-state and dynamic analyses.

With the development of the urban, many small urban areas are integrated into big ones, which leads to redundancy of the domestic waste disposal facilities between the original urban areas. How to optimize these facilities is the major decision-making problems faced by urban administrative departments, hi this paper, three scenarios, which are considered. We present three strategies to deal with this problem, which are redundant deletion, garbage bin redistribution and system reconstruction respectively. And then, according to the redundant quantity of the regional integration, waste collection centers, three corresponding mathematical models are firstly designed. Furthermore, the Voronoi technology and the clustering algorithm are applied to handle these models. Finally, a simulation case based on the regional integration of the Old Eastern District, Old West District, Chongwen and Xuanwu District in Beijing is studied, the research results find that the efficiency of the system has increased from 74.9% to 85.9%, to 95.6% and to 100%.

In this paper, we consider the problem of clustering the long financial time series of the Chinese A-share market, applying k-means, k-Shape, agglomerative hierarchical clustering, affinity propagation, and Gaussian mixture to redivide the Chinese stock market. The results after parameter tuning show that the stocks in redivided industries are more similar than those of Shenwan first-class industry. Then we generate a new method of factor neutralization, using the new industries to neutralize factors, and then constructing the investment portfolios to test the four basic factors. The experimental results show that the investment portfolio based on k-means can steadily defeat the benchmark and the portfolio based on classical industry classification. This new method of factor neutralization can bring a stable and effective improvement to the returns of the factors and it is allowed be applied to other factors, which has a significant impact on factor investing.
