data quality plays a crucial role in the data governance of organizations, as it is essential to ensure that data are fit for the purpose for which they are intended, whether for operational activities, decision-making processes, or strategic planning. As data silos begin to be integrated to form data spaces, guaranteeing data quality becomes a necessity to achieve a reliable collaborative ecosystem. Nevertheless, the concept of data quality remains ambiguous, with various definitions and interpretations offered in the literature, despite its importance. This lack of consensus has led to the need for a thorough review of the different data quality criteria used in scientific work. Therefore, this paper serves as a systematic survey aimed at exploring and consolidating diverse perspectives on data quality. By thoroughly analyzing existing literature, this study compiles a comprehensive set of 30 agreed-upon data quality criteria, with their respective names and definitions. These criteria act as a valuable resource for organizations seeking to establish effective data quality monitoring practices. Then, we expose challenges raised by collaborative data processing and highlight possible research directions where data quality plays a major role.

collaborative data processing is needed for sensing, analyzing and visualization of heterogeneous data across IoT platforms. Localization is required to maintain up-to-date position information, both for indoor and outdoor network infrastructures. This helps in real time context aware processing and service delivery in smart city applications. In this paper, a two layer localization scheme is proposed for a distributed network using the Internet of Things.

Wireless sensor networks consist of various sensor nodes which operate in a memory, energy and bandwidth constrained environment. Target tracking is an important application in wireless sensor networks and in this paper we propose an energy aware target tracking ( EATT) algorithm. Energy efficiency is obtained due to the novel concept of tracking being performed in a collaborative manner by different cluster heads instead of using a base station. This helps to minimize the energy required for communication. Taking into consideration the unique energy constraints of motes we reduce the computational complexity of the tracking algorithm by using simple optimization technique. In this paper, we shall briefly discuss our tracking approach and then focus on the advantages of program optimization in wireless sensor networks. The work presented demonstrates the viability of achieving real time energy efficient target tracking by using simple optimization technique for a tracking algorithm implemented in TinyOS. The simulation results show that the proposed technique reduces the energy consumption by at least 20% and memory requirement by at least 6% as compared to the conventional techniques used in wireless sensor network.

Target tracking is an important application of wireless sensor networks. We propose an online energy efficient collaborative data processing-based target tracking in wireless sensor networks. The novelty of the proposed method is that tracking is performed in a collaborative manner by different cluster heads. On the contrary, in traditional approaches, the base station is responsible for tracking of the targets. Thus, we can achieve real time energy efficient target tracking and the simulation results show that the proposed technique reduces the energy consumption by at least 10% as compared to the conventional techniques used in wireless sensor network. We also perform the memory analysis for our proposed technique and it is found that the memory requirements of our proposed approach fall within the memory constraints of the motes.
