The 28 papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 42 submissions. The book includes papers that extend the view on different concepts related to the development of the Service Science domain of study, appl.ing them to frameworks, advanced technologies, and tools for the design of new, digitally-enabled service systems. This book is structured in six parts, based on the six main conference themes, as follows: Customer Experience, data Analytics in Service, Emerging Service Technologies, Service Design and Innovation, Service Ecosystems, and Service Management.

In todayís competitive and highly dynamic environment, analyzing data to understand how the business is performing, to predict outcomes and trends, and to improve the effectiveness of business processes underlying business operations has become cri- cal. The traditional approach to reporting is no longer adequate, users now demand easy-to-use intelligent platforms and appl.cations capable of analyzing real-time bu- ness data to provide insight and actionable information at the right time. The end goal is to improve the enterprise performance by better and timelier decision making, - abled by the availability of up-to-date, high-quality information. As a response, the notion of "real-time enterprise" has emerged and is beginning to be recognized in the industry. Gartner defines it as “using up-to-date information, getting rid of delays, and using speed for competitive advantage is what the real-time enterprise is all about. . . Indeed, the goal of the real-time enterprise is to act on events as they happen. ” Although there has been progress in this direction and many com- nies are introducing products toward making this vision a reality, there is still a long way to go. In particular, the whole lifecycle of business intelligence requires new techniques and methodologies capable of dealing with the new requirements imposed by the real-time enterprise.

In this paper we give a general definition what is meant by “total-step-”, “single-step-” and “successive relaxation iterative method” and we appl. these concepts on systems of linear equations. In the special case of a matrix with zero diagonal entries we obtain the well knownJacobi-, Gauss-Seidel- and Relaxation iterative method. Theorem 1 gives conditions for the convergence of the singlestep-iterative method for general, non-negative matrices. The proof is similar to that given byStein andRosenberg in [2] (1948) for a special case. A corollary gives conditions for the convergence of the relaxation-iterative method for non-negative matrices. Further on we prove theorem 2 about the convergence of the relaxation-iterative method with diagonally dominant matrices.

This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed proceedings of the 2011 ICSOC Workshops consisting of 5 scientific satellite events, organized in 4 tracks: workshop track (WESOA 2011; NFPSLAM-SOC 2011), PhD symposium track, demonstration track, and industry track; held in conjunction with the 2011 International Conference on Service-Oriented Computing (ICSOC), in Paphos, Greece, December 2011. The 39 revised papers presented together with 2 introductory descriptions address topics such as software engineering services; the management of service level agreements; Web services and service composition; general or domain-specific challenges of service-oriented computing and its transition towards cloud computing; architecture and modeling of services; workflow management; performance analysis as well as crowdsourcing for improving service processes and for knowledge discovery.

The two-volume set LNCS 7565 and 7566 constitutes the refereed proceedings of three confederated international conferences: Cooperative Information Systems (CoopIS 2012), Distributed Objects and appl.cations - Secure Virtual Infrastructures (DOA-SVI 2012), and Ontologies, dataBases and appl.cations of SEmantics (ODBASE 2012) held as part of OTM 2012 in September 2012 in Rome, Italy. The 53 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from a total of 169 submissions. The 31 full papers included in the second volume constitute the proceedings of DOA-SVI 2012 with 10 full papers organized in topical sections on privacy in the cloud; resource management and assurance; context, compliance and attack; and ODBASE 2012 with 21 full papers organized in topical sections on using ontologies and semantics; appl.ing probalistic techniques to semantic information; exploiting and querying semantic information; and managing and storing semantic information.

After two successful MATES conferences in Erfurt 2003 and 2004, the 3rd G- man conference on Multi-agent System Technologies (MATES 2005) took place in Koblenz, Germany, in September 2005, and was co-located with the 28th German Conference on Arti?cial Intelligence (KI 2005). Building onotheragent-relatedeventsinGermanyinthepast,andorganized by the GI German Special Interest Group on Distributed Arti?cial Intelligence, the MATES conference series aims at promoting the theory and appl.cations of ***9thInternationalWorkshopon Cooperative Information Agents (CIA 2005), the topics of interest for MATES 2005 also covered the ?elds of intelligent information agents and systems for the Internet and the (Semantic) Web. As in recent years, MATES 2005 provided a distinguished, lively and int- disciplinary forum for researchers, users, and developers of agent technology, to present and discuss the latest advances of research and development in the area of autonomous agents and multiagent systems. Accordingly, the topics of MATES 2005 covered the whole range from the theory to appl.cations of age- and multiagent technology. The technical program included a total of 24 sci- ti?c talks, and demonstrations of selected running agent systems, and both the MATES 2005 Best Paper and the CIA 2005 System Innovation awards.

This book is positioned as a rst in a series of books on enterprise architecture needed for a Master of Enterprise Architecture program, and is targeted both at university students and practitioners with a drive to increase their understanding of these elds. As an introductory book, this book aims to explore the concept of enterprise architecture. At rst glance, writing such an introductory book might seem as a straight forward task of setting up a structure and lling in “the blanks. ” However, writing this book turned out to be a pleasant journey of discovery. Based on our past experiences, each of us had a clear understanding of enterprise architecture, based on several years of experience and insight in the eld. However, when we started writing this book, and each of us exposed our individual understandings, it became apparent that our understanding of the eld differed in several ways. This prompted several discussions leading to an abundance of new insights. Without exception, thesediscussionstookplaceina pleasantandopenatmosphere, fueledbyourshared driveforunderstandingandincreasedinsight. Wearenowevenmoreconvincedthan before, that the eld enterprise architecture is a true multi-disciplinary profession. In the resulting book, we would like to share our insights, while also hoping to continue our discussions, now also involving you as a reader. We also realise that the journey is still far from complete. While this introductory book provides an overview of the eld of enterprise architecture from the perspective of our insights, many aspects need further re nement.
