This paper is concerned with the simulation of traffic-flow on a twolane-road with traffic in both directions. We try to find statements about travel time, concentration of the volume of passing, formation of queues and the distribution of time-headway at the end of the tested road section. A short description of the model is followed by a comparison of our results.

As in [1], [6] and [8] is shown, round-off errors in numerical computation can be controlled with the aid of the intrrval *** paper deals with the structure and the characteristics of the spaces occurring in interval analysis and presents some appl.cations. At first the algebraic structure of these spaces is abstractly described by the definition of the quasilinear space, a generalization of the linear space. Then metric structures in these spaces are treated. As for appl.cations only metrics are apt, which have a certain compatibility with the algebraic structure, such properties are introduced and examined. For the interval arithmetic with matrices and vectors metrics are developped, which are compatible with the algebraic structure and so are apt to estimate with. With these results for certain equations existence and uniqueness of the solution is proved as well as some iteration methods of interval analysis for the evaluation of the solution are examined and tests of convergence deduced. Finally it is shown how these iteration methods are to be carried out on a computer.

The emergence of network facilities and the increased availability of personal computer systems over the last decade has seen a growing interest in the use of computers to support cooperative work. This volume contains the proceedings of the sixth European Conference on computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), a multi-disciplinary area which embraces both the development of new technologies and an understanding of the relationship between technology and society.;These proceedings present a collection of papers that encompass activities in the field, treating such subjects as virtual environments, uses of the Internet, studies of cooperative work and emerging models, studies of groupware systems in use in real-world settings, and theories and techniques to support the development of cooperative appl.cations. The articles feature emerging technologies alongside new methods and approaches to the expansion of this important class of appl.cations.;This work reflects the best of the current research and practice within CSCW. It will appeal to both researchers and practitioners whose work involves computer and information science, human-computer interaction, information systems, hypermedia, organisational/social informatics and social studies of science and technology.

This book offers practical advice on managing enterprise modeling (EM) projects and facilitating participatory EM sessions. Modeling activities often involve groups of people, and models are created in a participatory way. Ensuring that this is done efficiently requires dedicated individuals who know how to organize modeling projects and sessions, how to manage discussions during these sessions, and what aspects influence the success and efficiency of modeling in practice.;The book also includes a summary of the theoretical background to EM, although participatory modeling can also be used in conjunction with other methods that are not made for EM, such as those made for goal-oriented requirements engineering and information systems analysis.;The first four chapters present an overview of enterprise modeling from various viewpoints (including methods, processes and organizational challenges), providing a background for those that need to refresh their basic knowledge. The next six chapters form the core of the book and detail the roles and competences needed in an EM project, typical stakeholder behaviors and how to handle them, tools and methods for managing participatory modeling and facilitation, and how to train modeling experts for these social aspects of modeling. Lastly, a concluding chapter presents a summary and an outlook on current research in participatory EM.;This book is intended for anybody who wants to learn more about how to facilitate participatory modeling in practice and how to set up and carry out EM projects. It does not require any in-depth knowledge about specific EM methods and tools, and can be used by students and lecturers for courses on participatory modeling, and by practitioners wanting to extend their knowledge of social and organizational topics to become an experienced facilitator and EM project manager.

Digital forensics deals with the acquisition, preservation, examination, analysis and presentation of electronic evidence. Networked computing, wireless communications and portable electronic devices have expanded the role of digital forensics beyond traditional computer crime investigations. Practically every crime now involves some aspect of digital evidence; digital forensics provides the techniques and tools to articulate this evidence. Digital forensics also has myriad intelligence appl.cations. Furthermore, it has a vital role in information assurance -- investigations of security breaches yield valuable information that can be used to design more secure systems.;describes original research results and innovative appl.cations in the discipline of digital forensics. In addition, it highlights some of the major technical and legal issues related to digital evidence and electronic crime investigations. The areas of coverage include: Themesand Issues; Mobile and Embedded Device Forensics; Network and Cloud Forensics; Threat Detection and Mitigation; Malware Forensics; Image Forensics; and Forensic Techniques. This book is the thirteenth volume in the annual series produced by the International Federation for Information processing (IFIP) Working Group 11.9 on Digital Forensics, an international community of scientists, engineers and practitioners dedicated to advancing the state of the art of research and practice in digital forensics. The book contains a selection of sixteen edited papers from the Thirteenth Annual IFIP WG 11.9 International Conference on Digital Forensics, held in Orlando, Florida, USA in the winter of 2017.;is an important resource for researchers, faculty members and graduate students, as well as for practitioners and individuals engaged in research and development efforts for the law enforcement and intelligence communities.;, Chair, IFIP WG 11.9 on Digital Forensics, is a Professor of computer Engineering at the Air Force Institute of Tech

This book constitutes the proceedings of the 7;Enterprise Engineering Working Conference, EEWC 2017, held in Antwerp, Belgium, in May 2017.;EEWC aims at addressing the challenges that modern and complex enterprises are facing in a rapidly changing world. The participants of the working conference share a belief that dealing with these challenges requires rigorous and scientific solutions, focusing on the design and engineering of enterprises. The goal of EEWC is to stimulate interaction between the different stakeholders, scientists as well as practitioners, interested in making Enterprise Engineering a reality.;The 12 full papers and 4 short papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 40 submissions. They were organized in topical sections named: formalisms; standards and laws; business processes; normalized systems and evolvability; ontologies; and organization design.
