The paper presents the results of calculating phase transformations in Al-Zr-Fe-Si alloys. It is urgent to develop a fundamentally new class of aluminum alloys in which the required level of hardening would be ensured by means of alloying them with transition elements and dispersion hardening during heterogeneous annealing, eliminating the hardening operation during their heat treatment. In this case, it becomes possible to maintain the obtained structure stability and high heat resistance at elevated temperatures.

Limitations to copyright protection of computer programs The topic of this work is the limitations to copyright protection of computer programs. The first chapter explains the basic terms of computer science, which shall help the reader to orientate in this issue. These are terms as computer program, software, source code and machine code and graphical user interface. The chapter draws attention to lack of the legal definition of a computer program in Czech law, the difference between software and computer program is explained and the individual categories of software are introduced herein. After this introductory chapter, the second chapter provides an overview of the basic sources of software law. First it presents the international agreements by which the Czech Republic is bound as the Berne Convention, the TRIPS agreement, the WCT agreement and Convention on Cybercrime. It also focuses on the regional area of the EU and analyzes the Information Directive and the Software Directive. Subsequently, the text deals in detail with the conditions of copyright protection in the Czech Republic and its specifics. CRISPR/Cas technology of genome editing is a powerful tool for making targeted changes in the DNA of various organisms, including plants. The choice of the precise nucleotide sequence (protospacer) in the gene to be edited is important in the design of guide RNA, which can be carried out by specialized software. We review and compare all the known on-line and off-line resources for guide RNA design, with special attention paid to tools capable of searching for off-target edits sites in plant genomes. The use of Cas12a may be preferable to Cas9. Techniques allowing C -> T and G -> A base editing without DNA cleavage are discussed along with the basic requirements for the design of effective and highly specific guide RNAs. Ways for improving guide RNA design software are presented. We also discuss the lesser risks of off-target editing in plant genomes as opposed to animal genomes. Examples of edited plant genomes including those that do not lead to the creation of transgenic plants are reviewed.

Tow different computer calculation methods for distortion of the wide-band diode bridge track and hold amplifier (THA) are presented based on a high frequency Schottky diode model. One of the computer programs calculates the distortion of weekly nonlinear THA based on the KCL and the nonlinear-current method. The other calculates the weekly nonlinear distortion by using a Volterra series method and a nodal formulation. Comparative calculation results for the diode bridge THA have shown good agreement with these two computer program calculation methods, whereas the overall computational efficiency of the nonlinear-current method is better than that of the nodal formulation method in a special evaluation.

Let n > 3 be a natural number. By a 1975 result of H. Strietz, the lattice Part(n) of all partitions of an n-element set has a four-element generating set. In 1983, L. Zadori gave a new proof of this fact with a particularly elegant construction. Based on his construction from 1983, the present paper gives a lower bound on the number.(n) of four-element generating sets of Part(n). We also present a computer-assisted statistical approach to.(n) for small values of n. In his 1983 paper, L. Zadori also proved that for n = 7, the lattice Part(n) has a four-element generating set that is not an antichain. He left the problem whether such a generating set for n. {5, 6} exists open. Here we solve this problem in negative for n = 5 and in affirmative for n = 6. Finally, the main theorem asserts that the direct product of some powers of partition lattices is four-generated. In particular, by the first part of this theorem, Part(n1) x Part(n2) is four-generated for any two distinct integers n1 and n2 that are at least 5. The second part of the theorem is technical but it has two corollaries that are easy to understand. In this work, the characteristics of known radiofrequency (RF) phase shifter varieties were analyzed, their advantages and disadvantages were identified. Based on the performed analysis, we offer a digitally controlled RF phase shifter, which allows changing the initial phase of the radio frequency oscillation using a computer program. This phase shifter provides a change in the initial phase of RF oscillation within the range from 0 to 360 degrees with a constant oscillation amplitude at the output of the phase shifter in the frequency range from 100 to 1000 MHz.

Background: The prevalence of peritoneal dialysis (PD) in Thailand is increasing rapidly in part because of Thailand's Peritoneal Dialysis First policy. PD is a home-based renal replacement therapy in which patients with chronic kidney disease perform up to 4 exchanges of dialysate fluid per day in the peritoneal cavity. Overhydration is one of the most common complications in patients on PD and is associated with increased morbidity and mortality. To monitor hydration status, patients collect hydration metrics, including body weight, blood pressure, urine output, and ultrafiltration volume, from each dialysis cycle and enter this information into a PD logbook. This information is reviewed bimonthly at PD clinic appointments. The chronic kidney disease-PD (CKD-PD) app with near-field communication (NFC) and optical character recognition (OCR) was developed to automate hydration metric collection. The information was displayed in the app for self-monitoring and uploaded to a database for real-time monitoring by the PD clinic staff. Early detection and treatment of overhydration could potentially reduce the morbidity and mortality related to overhydration. Objective: This study aims to identify usability issues and technology adoption barriers for the CKD-PD app with NFC and OCR and a monitoring system and to use this information to make rapid cycle improvements. Methods: A multidisciplinary team of nephrologists, PD clinic nurses, computer programmers, and engineers trained and observed 2 groups of 5 participants in the use of the CKD-PD app with NFC and OCR and a monitoring system. The participants were observed using technology in their homes in 3 phases. The data collected included the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology questionnaire, think-aloud observation, user ratings, completion of hydration metrics, and upload of hydration metrics to the central database. A new method of gait recognition based on a sequence of frames from a video sequence is proposed. The silhouette of a moving figure is extracted by subtracting the background from the image. The contour of the silhouette is considered as a one-dimensional signal in the polar coordinate system. Signal values are the distances from the center of gravity of the silhouette to the points of the contour, and the argument is the angular coordinate. From a set of one-dimensional signals for successive frames, a two-dimensional signal is formed, which is transformed into a grayscale image. The representation of the gait fragment in the form of an image allows using the latest research in the field of intellectual processing of graphic data for gait analysis. In this paper, the Gabor wavelet method is used to identify the person by gait. A program was developed for Visual Studio using the OpenCV graphics library. Testing the program on samples from the CASIA gait database showed high recognition accuracy.

This paper presents a competency model as an instrument for restaurant management. The research showed that existing appraisal methods, such as KPI and 360-degree feedback method, are difficult to apply during evaluating the performance of non-managerial employees (waiters). Test method comes with several shortcomings too but using competency model can make this method more effective. Competency model allows for combining various assessment results and forming an employee profile, which is constructing and storing in a computer system. Previous research demonstrated effectiveness of model and some problems of its using like source data purity. In this paper test questions' balance and the reasons of collective mistakes are researched. Experiments were conducted using employee profiles data. Results from these experiments confirmed that the model can improve restaurant management but there are some problems and features of its using. It is important to provide test questions balance and source data purity.
