A typical DC microgrid, which can be enabled by Solid State Transformer (SST), is investigated in this paper. One unidirectional DC/DC converter for photovoltaic (PV), one bidirectional DC/DC converters for battery, and a SST based on distribution system level, are included in the proposed DC microgrid system. In order to manage the system operation, a distributed power management strategy is proposed. In the proposed control algorithm, not only the DC microgrid system can interface to the distribution system, but each module in the system can be distributed based on its own characteristics. Experimental results verify that the proposed power management strategy can be applied to a DC microgrid stably and achieve good performance.

It was expressed as a second order plus dead time (SOPDT) continuous system. And the speed-voltage PID controller was designed and implemented on the internal model control (IMC) theory. Numerical simulation was done on Matlab/simulink, and dynamic experiments were tested on the 16bit micro-controller. To make electro-hydraulic braking systems table in electric vehicles (EV), this paper presents a coordination control strategy between motor braking system (MBS) and hydraulic braking system (HBS), including braking mode switching strategy and coordination control strategy of the braking force. The distribution strategy between motor braking force (MBF) and hydraulic braking force (HBF) is based upon demanding braking torque (DBT), consideration of the battery SOC, vehicle braking strength and the road adhesion coefficient. The developed models and the control algorithms are programmed by using Matlab/Simulink and with AVL-Cruise software platform established EV electric-hydraulic braking system simulation model and perform simulation research of braking stability in different kind of roads, and different braking intensity. Simulation result shows that: during low-intensity braking, MBS can meet the needs of the vehicle, and the HBS does not work;during moderate braking process, the MBS and HBS work coordinately, and the braking process is stable;during highintensity braking process or high battery SOC, MBS doesn't work and the HBS provides the sole braking force. Therefore, the coordination braking control strategy can ensure the stability of vehicle during the braking process.

In this paper, we propose a distributed constrained connectivity control algorithm for a network of dynamically decoupled agents with constrained discrete-time linear dynamics. This control algorithm works based on a receding horizon control (RHC) scheme and acts as a middleware that modifies the set-points defined by the user or by high-level control units whenever their direct application would violate system constraints. To guarantee the connectivity of the communication graph, the algorithm enforces that a specific spanning tree exists at each time. The algorithm is allowed, under certain conditions, to switch between interaction graphs in order to enhance system performance. Among all possible spanning trees, we propose to use the Euclidean Minimum Spanning Tree (EMST), and we study its advantages. The overall algorithm is described, and some of its properties are pointed out. Some simulations conclude the paper and show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

The control algorithm is based on the sliding mode control techniques that provides good tracking performances and robustness against parameter variations. The control design also considers the connection to a non ideal power network with a grid impedance as well as higher harmonics components in the voltage. The control law has been tested in numerical simulations with satisfactory results (also in the case of non ideal power grid).

A model reference optimal control architecture for the real-time fluid control of eliminating a contaminant plume from a pipe system was introduced in an earlier paper [1]. The mathematical model for the contaminant flow, is now extended and parameterized based on computational fluid dynamic simulations of a two-dimensional (2D) channel. It is also shown, based on the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations, that the 2D-based mathematical model can be used for three-dimensional (3D) pipe flow problem under certain constraints. Finally, we also derive a very simple control law of the flow rate in a boundary port that would remove a contaminant if the flow was a theoretical 2D flow. This simple control law can initialize the iterative process of computing the optimal flow based on a more complex model and real-time measurements. With the results in this article, the optimal control architecture can be tested in the real-time prototype experiments. Further improvements on the mathematical model and control algorithm can be made for real life pipe-line fluid control problems.

In fact, the tasks in underwater environment are more challenging than those in ground circumstances due to the uncertainties and complexity in hydro-environment.
