Probe Machine Based computing model for Maximum Clique Problem

Probe machine(PM) is a recently reported mathematic model with massive parallelism. Herein,we presented searching the maximum clique of an undirected graph with six vertices. We constructed data library containing n sublibraries, each sublibrary corresponded to a vertex in the given graph. Then, probe library according to the induced subgraph was designed in order to search and generate all maximal cliques. Subsequently,we performed probe operation, and all maximal cliques were generated in parallel. The advantages of the proposed model lie in two aspects. On one hand, solution to NP-complete problem is generated in just one step of probe operation rather than found in vast solution *** the other hand, the proposed model is highly *** work demonstrates that PM is superior to TM in terms of searching capacity when tackling NP-complete problem.

An Efficient MapReduce computing model for Imprecise Applications

Optimizing the Map process is important for the improvement of the MapReduce performance. Many efforts have been devoted into the problem to design more efficient scheduling strategies. However, there exists a kind of MapReduce applications, named imprecise applications, where the imprecise results based on part of map tasks can satisfy the requirements of imprecise applications and thus the job processes can be completed when enough map tasks are processed. According to the feature of imprecise applications, the authors propose an improved MapReduce model, named MapCheckReduce, which can terminate the map process when the requirements of an imprecise application is satisfied. Compared to MapReduce, a Check mechanism and a set of extended programming interfaces are added to MapCheckReduce. The Check mechanism receives and analyzes messages submitted by completed map tasks and then determines whether to terminate the map phase according to the analysis results. The programming interfaces are used by the programmers to define the termination conditions of the map process. A data-prefetching mechanism is designed and implemented in MapCheckReduce which can improve the performance of MapCheckReduce effectively. The MapCheckReduce prototype has been implemented and experiment results verify the feasibility and effectiveness of MapCheckReduce.

With advances in remote-sensing technology, the large volumes of data cannot be analyzed efficiently and rapidly, especially with arrival of high-resolution images. The development of image-processing technology is an urgent and complex problem for computer and geo-science experts. It involves, not only knowledge of remote sensing, but also of computing and networking. Remotely sensed images need to be processed rapidly and effectively in a distributed and parallel processing environment. Grid computing is a new form of distributed computing, providing an advanced computing and sharing model to solve large and computationally intensive problems. According to the basic principle of grid computing, we construct a distributed processing system for processing remotely sensed images. This paper focuses on the implementation of such a distributed computing and processing model based on the theory of grid computing. Firstly, problems in the field of remotely sensed image processing are analyzed. Then, the distributed (and parallel) computing model design, based on grid computing, is applied. Finally, implementation methods with middleware technology are discussed in detail. From a test analysis of our system, ***, the whole image-processing system is evaluated, and the results show the feasibility of the model design and the efficiency of the remotely sensed image distributed and parallel processing system. A computing model: The Closed-Loop Optimal Control for Large-Scale One-of-a-Kind Production Based on Multilevel Hierarchical PERT-Petri Net

For the design and operation of interim product manufacturing systems, large-scale one-of-a-kind production (OKP) features disruptions and lack of synchronization, which challenges real-time production process systematic control. The difficulty lies in two aspects. First, large-scale OKP is generally characterized by product design uncertainty and changes in resource availability, which often causes varied working time with workforce allocation variations. Second, specific types of large-scale OKP provides discrete production with complicated structures. There is the complicated work breakdown structure (WBS) of top-down and simple-to-complex refinement. Moreover, the production task relation structure in WBS, which consists of tandem structure, parallel structure and double-level-nested parallel structure, is complex. Indeed, many large-scale OKP enterprises do not have an effective method to both control and plan adjustment in a systematic way for dealing with the progress of OKP operations under workforce allocation disruptions and different working time scenarios. The traditional production project management and control system, theory, and methods do not handle this situation well since these technologies are developed with a view to managing production periods instead of controlling time-related cost systematically during production. Regarding the interim product production process in large-scale OKP as a manufacturing system, in this article we propose a cost dynamic control and optimization method based on the multilevel hierarchical PERT-Petri net (MLHPP) to achieve a closed-loop production dynamic control structure in large-scale OKP. The proposed modeling method and algorithms, through an industrial implementation in shipbuilding interim production (e.g., a ship block building), demonstrate a computing model for structuring and controlling large-scale OKP systems.

Modern design approaches are conceived and utilised in an integrated loop covering system statics, dynamics, optimisation, and others. hi this regard this paper presents a computing based integrated design approach for a flexible buoyancy system (FBS) aimed towards the applications in autonomous underwater vehicles and gliders. The primary design alternatives for the FBS are: piston and pump driven and both are investigated. The primary design of autonomous underwater vehicles and gliders is computed from first principle of mechanics and defined in the computer aided design model and it is implemented in the Matlab*(TM). Lastly, to show the application of the present approach, a design example is presented for a water depth of 6000 m.

As hazardous substances generated indoors are becoming a greater social issue, sustainable healthy buildings are being increasingly spotlighted. Sustainable healthy buildings refer to those buildings that maintain a certain level of health performance for their lifecycle. The health performance can be evaluated in terms of time, space and health factors. Previous studies on healthy buildings have mostly focused on pollutant emissions from materials and evaluation indicators, and the studies conducted on performance evaluations have been limited to specific areas such as indoor air quality (IAQ). However, it is necessary to assess the lifecycle health performance of health factors including IAQ, temperature, humidity, noise and lighting. In addition, a computing model is required to easily and promptly calculate the health factors and share health performance evaluation results during the planning, design, construction and operation and maintenance (O & M) phases. The purpose of this study is to propose a computing model for lifecycle health performance evaluation (LHPE model) of sustainable healthy buildings. The LHPE model consists of a lifecycle health performance tree (LHT) model, a process model and an information model. The LHPE model is intended to be used as a tool to draw out the comprehensive health performance of buildings with ease and quickness, when the evaluation indicators of the factors are completed in the near future.

In this paper we present useful calculations for a prediction of the electromagnetic field created by interfering circuits on a linear horizontal transmission line over an imperfectly conducting *** interfering circuits are assimilated to antennas and treated by using the dipole-radiation theory. The current distribution is determinated by the transmission-line *** present here the computational procedure allowing a fast and accurate calculation of the electromagnetic fields components of a series of dipoles. We give the linear characteristics Z, Y of the transmission line by incorporating the ground *** response of a terminated one-wire transmission line set over the ground and excited by a non-uniform field is given.A comparison between computed results given by the model and experimental measurements is provided.

Parallel computing model plays a great basic role in advanced computing;Based on researching existing parallel computing models, this paper brings forward a parallel computing model-Layer Forward Net toward Cubic-R architecture, and describes the model's structure, parameter, logic abstractly. Lastly towards typical N-Body problem, this paper designs a parallel algorithm, and analyses its complexity. The compared result shows that this model has low computing complexity, increase by layer and other merit.
