consensus algorithms provide a framework for the distributed coordination of a multi-agent system. However, widespread application and deployment of consensus algorithms may be limited in real-world multi-agent coordination problems due to implementation on size, power, and weight constrained vehicles. In this case, limited resources may contribute to delay and packet loss causing algorithm deterioration and violation of performance guarantees. This calls for novel strategies for intelligent resource utilization and computationally simple implementation. Towards this goal, we propose co-regulation strategies for discrete time average consensus under delays allowing dynamic resource utilization while coping with communication limitations. This is done by dynamically adjusting communication frequency to facilitate higher state exchange rates while simultaneously adjusting agents' locations to increase inter-agent connectivity for rapid convergence. We prove that convergence is still guaranteed for co-regulation strategies for discrete time average consensus under bounded delays. In addition, we propose a pause for agents' locations to mitigate adverse behavior caused by delay. To simplify implementation we devise a consensus strategy that decouples the co-regulated consensus from low-level vehicle feedback control. The usability of our proposed system is evaluated through a series of simulations, and we show our proposed co-regulation strategies in fact result in faster convergence time. We evaluate the approach with an outdoor experiment using 4 customized unmanned aircraft systems (UASs).

Security of consensus control is of key significance in multi-agent systems. In this paper we investigate the resilient consensus problem for multi-agent systems under the specific attack scenarios where the attacker can eavesdrop on initial information of agents among the system, and modifies the values in the communication links to interfere in the consensus process. To protect the privacy of node' value, we employ the cryptography of homomorphic encryption to encrypt initial integer state of each agent, without revealing to other agents the real value in the network. When the communication network meets the necessary connectivity, we develop a variation of so-called ratio consensus algorithm that deal with malicious attacks. The numerical example of directed network is conducted to illustrate the effectiveness of our proposed algorithm.

Aiming at the problems of traditional centralized optimization scheduling methods, this paper proposes an improved fully distributed consensus algorithm to achieve optimal economic scheduling. More specifically, the consensus algorithm based on node aggregation and Adam's algorithm is designed to be used in the economic dispatch of load distribution in a completely distributed form, aiming to economically, quickly and effectively allocate the supply and demand balance of the entire system task. Finally, the simulation results of IEEE-14 node system are given in this paper, which proves the effectiveness and good performance of the algorithm.

In order to realize large-scale distributed inverter air conditioning load participating in demand response, this paper proposes the multi-agent consensus control algorithm to meet the requirements of accurate load control of residential air conditioning resources. Based on the concept of human body comfort index in meteorology, this paper takes comfort index ratio as a consensus variable to reduce the load of inverter air conditioning group by changing the set temperature of air conditioner. The algorithm can reduce the data traffic through the information interaction between adjacent agents, so it can successfully complete the load reduction instructions issued by the scheduling center. Case simulation and analysis show the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.

The term `Blockchain', commonly referred to as the brain behind the Bitcoin network, works on the simple principle of the presence of a distributed and decentralized ledger in a public or private network. Since blockchain is decentralized, it is the duty of the consensus algorithm to substantiate the details in the blockchain. Traditional consensus algorithms such as Proof of Work (PoW) and Proof of Stake (PoS), although widely used, are a matter of concern due to computationally expensive operations and convergence towards a monopolized system respectively. Though optimizations of PoW and PoS algorithms were subsequently introduced, their features precincts. This paper aims to provide a solution by presenting a consensus algorithm based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology while maintaining the fairness of the system. A Healthcare based system was set up on top of the blockchain network to generate the dataset about the miners in order to train our neural network. On the whole, it incorporated the advantages of the state of the art consensus models which can increase the efficiency of the healthcare industry while diminishing their demerits.

blockchain technology is one of the strategic emerging information technologies. It integrates a variety of technologies such as cryptography, peer-to-peer network, consensus algorithm and smart contract, and has been gradually applied in various fields. The contradiction between the rapid development of blockchain industry and the incompleteness of evaluation system and technical means has become increasingly prominent. The vulnerability of blockchain system is an important part of blockchain evaluation system. It is of great significance for the development of blockchain technology and large-scale application to fully study the vulnerability of blockchain system and conduct quantitative evaluation or real-time monitoring. This paper systematically analyzes the vulnerability of blockchain, and puts forward the technical indicators to evaluate the vulnerability of blockchain. Based on the vulnerability technical index of blockchain consensus algorithm and industrial blockchain consensus algorithm PBFT, a consensus algorithm confrontation deduction model is designed, and the vulnerability index of blockchain system using PBFT is experimentally simulated and evaluated.

Distributed noise-resilient economic dispatch strategy for islanded microgrids

Economic dispatch (ED) plays an important role in economic operation of the microgrid (MG). However, the communication links among distributed generators (DGs) may practically be corrupted by additive noise, resulting in erroneous deviations from ED commands. To deal with such issues, this study proposes a distributed noise-resilient ED strategy for islanded MG. Owing to consensus-based implementation, the proposed ED strategy is implemented in a fully distributed manner, which enables peer-to-peer communication among DGs without the necessity of a central controller. In addition, the proposed ED strategy involves post-iterate averaging technique to further enhance its convergence under additive communication noise. In this way, different from the existing ED strategies, the proposed ED strategy is fully distributed and resilient to the communication noise. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the proposed ED strategy is evaluated on an islanded MG, where the communication links are corrupted by different levels of additive noise. Finally, in order to fully take account of the uncertainty and stochastic nature of different operation scenarios, the Monte-Carlo simulations are carried out, of which the simulation results demonstrate that the proposed ED strategy is superior to the existing ED strategies, in terms of the convergence property under additive communication noise.

The increased usage of cloud computing technology and its industry-wide adoption has led to almost all modern consumer services being heavily dependent on cloud computing platforms. The user and the Cloud Service Provider (CSP) must agree on a Service Level Agreement (SLA) to keep performance above a given threshold and maintain a certain Quality of Service (QoS) (quality of service). This SLA is enforced by the CSP, who monitors the performance of the computers and compensates the user using the logs created by the underlying machinery. Similarly, a cautious customer can keep a monitoring system in place to examine the operation of the virtualized resources assigned to them regularly. This leads to distrust between the CSP and the customer, as neither party believes the other’s monitoring system is reliable. In this work, we propose a blockchain-based which guarantees the integrity of the client’s logs and verifies the SLA violations creating a trustworthy ecosystem. Furthermore, we carry out the scalability and performance analysis of proposed system using Hyperledger Fabric blockchain platform.

This paper is dedicated to channel modeling and error-correction coding for DNA data storage with nanopore sequencing. We first propose a novel statistical model for DNA storage, which takes into account the memory within DNA storage error events, and follows the way nanopore sequencing works. Compared to existing channel models, the proposed model represents more accurate experimental datasets. We also propose a full error-correction scheme for DNA storage, based on a consensus algorithm and non-binary LDPC codes. Especially, we introduce a novel synchronization method which allows to eliminate remaining deletion errors after the consensus, before applying a belief-propagation LDPC decoding algorithm to correct substitution errors. This method exploits the LDPC code structure to correct deletions, and does not require adding any extra redundancy.

consensus and transaction are the main parts in a blockchain system. However, most cryptographic protocols used in these parts of current blockchains are vulnerable to rapid development of quantum computers. Besides, traditional proof of work (PoW) based consensus protocols such as Bitcoin can not supply memory mining. And the transaction capacity of each block in a blockchain is limited that need to be expanded. In this paper, a new post-quantum poof of work (PoW) consensus algorithm is proposed, which can be used to not only protect the blockchain under the quantum computing attack over existing classical hash based PoW algorithms but also can supply memory mining. Meanwhile, a identity-based post-quantum signature is embed into a transaction process so as to construct lightweight transactions. We thereafter give a detailed description on how the post-quantum lightweight transaction in a blockchain runs. All in all, this work can help to enrich the research on the future post-quantum blockchain (PQB).
