Blockchain technology, due to its decentralized, traceable, and tamper-resistant characteristics, has been applied in a wide range of collaborative computing scenarios, including smart grid, industrial production, and smart cities. consensus algorithm, as the key blockchain technology, plays a decisive role in terms of performance, security, and scalability, ensuring that system nodes reach consensus on transaction data. However, with the increase of user nodes and the diversity of application scenarios, existing consensus algorithms face some performance and security challenges. To overcome these challenges, this article proposes a novel blockchain consensus mechanism, namely the Reputation-Aware Randomization consensus algorithm (RRCA). The proposed mechanism first constructs a dynamic reputation evaluation model to divide nodes into ordinary ones and candidate ones. Secondly, a selection model is constructed for candidate nodes to select consensus nodes, which run the consensus algorithm. Finally, a random selection mechanism for the leader node of the proposed consensus algorithm is constructed to ensure the unpredictability and reduce the probability of the leader node being subjected to malicious attacks. Theoretical analysis and experimental results indicate that the RRCA can significantly reduce consensus latency and increase the unpredictability of the leader node, which improves the performance and security of blockchain systems.

A one-time encryption consensus algorithm based on (t, n) threshold secret sharing is proposed to address the performance and security issues of consensus mechanisms in blockchain applications. The theoretical basis of this algorithm is the chaos algorithm, finite state automata, secure multi-party computation, and lagrange interpolating formula in cryptography. After analyzing the security of the threshold secret sharing scheme, it can resist various attacks and achieve a one-time encryption security level, It also has the characteristics of key dynamism and nodes management flexibility, ensuring the strong security of the proposed consensus algorithm.

Cascaded H-bridge converters are widely used in the implementation of medium voltage static synchronous compensators (STATCOMs). This is because of the advantages of relatively high-power density and the improved utilisation of low-voltage semiconductor devices. Major concerns with this topology are (i) to ensure a proper balance of the individual DC capacitor voltage in its cells, and (ii) the balancing of the average DC voltage between its clusters. In the research literature, these issues are typically addressed by using centralised control approaches, meaning that both an extensive processing capability and multiple digital outputs and communication channels for the switching signals are required, increasing system complexity. In contrast to this trend, in this paper, a distributed control scheme based on a consensus algorithm is proposed to deal with these issues in a three-phase STATCOM based on a cascaded H-bridge converter. The main advantages of the proposed control scheme are: (i) it does not require a centralised controller, since the cells work autonomously in a cooperative fashion to achieve voltage regulation, distributing the control effort among the cells, and (ii) it increases the fault tolerance of the converter and thus, the reliability of the system by adequately considering its redundancy. Extensive simulation work is provided to validate this proposal, and the characteristics described above.

At present, the application model and business model of the blockchain are still being explored. How to better integrate the blockchain technology into the power transaction business scenario to improve the quality and efficiency needs to be further explored in combination with the specific business development needs. In view of the large scale of market entities and high transaction processing capabilities in the large-scale and high-concurrency power transaction business scenario, this paper studies the parallel processing technology of blockchain transactions, realizes the parallel processing of transactions, and supports the parallel reading and writing capabilities of tens of thousands of entities. Research on the blockchain consensus algorithm suitable for power trading business can shorten the transaction consensus and execution time, and ensure that the consensus mechanism meets the concurrency requirements of business responsiveness and performance requirements.

Droop control is one of the basic control methods to solve the problem of load sharing in DC microgrids. However, the conventional droop control cannot balance the current sharing accuracy and bus voltage regulation between micro-sources(MSs). To tackle this problem, the ideal output current of each MS can be obtained based on the dynamic consensus algorithm. Then an improved droop control method that changes the droop coefficient by fuzzy control is proposed to improve the robustness of the system. The bus voltage can be effectively controlled while the currents are accurately shared. Finally, the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed droop control strategy are verified by MATLAB/SIMULINK simulation.

Blockchain technology has gained immense popularity over the last decade. It has transformed several industries by enabling processes to work in a secure and decentralized manner. Blockchain consists of blocks that are linked together through cryptography. Blockchain is a distributed ledger that contains a set of sequenced blocks of data. Each block records transaction data in a transparent, immutable, and secure fashion. consensus algorithm is the key part of this technology as it is used for the decision-making process among nodes in the blockchain network. Nodes in the verifying network use consensus algorithm to reach mutual agreement about state of the blockchain whenever a new block is added. This makes it possible to accept any transaction in the blockchain. Many consensus algorithms have been proposed in the literature each having its own performance and security characteristics. In this paper, we present a pattern for one of the most widely used blockchain consensus algorithms, which is the Proof of Work (PoW) algorithm. This paper is a part of our project on blockchain architecture and patterns.

Currently, the research on consensus in second-order scalar-weighted multi-agent systems has made significant progress. However, when describing complex problems, scalar weighted networks are difficult to accurately represent the coupling relationships between these problems. The dimensional expansion offered by matrix-weighted networks facilitates the description and analysis of complex issues. Currently, there is still limited research on second-order matrix-weighted networks. In this paper, a novel control protocol is designed using the backstepping method, enabling second-order matrix-weighted networks to achieve bipartite consensus. The impact of the Laplacian's null space on the network's bipartite consensus results is analyzed, and numerical simulations are conducted to validate the conclusions presented in the paper.

In a DC microgrid, one of the most important issues is appropriate current sharing among converters which is commonly addressed by droop control in a decentralized fashion. However, there is a tradeoff between accurate current sharing and bus voltage regulation. This paper proposes a unified cooperative secondary control scheme which can achieve the two objectives using one integrator and one communication variable, which is communicated using a discrete-time dynamic consensus algorithm (DCA). The influence of control and electrical parameters on the system stability are investigated by eigenvalue contours after a linearized state-space model is built. Simulations on MATLAB/Simulink verify the performance of the proposed method under load changes and communication link failure.

This paper addresses the growing interest in microgrid (MG) research, driven by the integration of renewable energy sources and the need for enhanced grid resilience and flexibility. The implementation of efficient and stable control systems is crucial for the optimization of MG operation. This study investigates the resilience of the consensus algorithm within an MG comprising three-phase four-wire generators under a distributed control system. The simulations explore various communication scenarios to assess the tolerance of the communication link under failures and their impact on MG stability. The results highlight that consensus algorithm maintain robustness and resilience even when communication links fail. These characteristics are essential for distributed control systems, where communication between generators can be interrupted or exposes to temporary failures. Consequently, effective power sharing in the MG can still be achieved, underscoring the efficacy of the algorithm in maintaining MG performance despite communication challenges.
