Double entry bookkeeping is a widely used accounting method that provides a system for recording financial transactions. Recently, this method has been applied to the field of distributed consensus algorithms, particularly the raft consensus algorithm. Raft [1] is an innovative algorithm that is used to achieve consensus in a distributed system. The application of double entry bookkeeping to this algorithm aims to provide a more efficient and reliable method for tracking transactions and ensuring consistency. The use of double entry bookkeeping allows for improved fault tolerance, as well as better detection and prevention of data inconsistencies. Additionally, it enables the detection of malicious activities, such as double-spending or tampering with the transaction history. This application of double entry bookkeeping to raft consensus algorithm shows promise for improving the overall security and reliability of distributed systems. This paper presents Raft’s application to distributed accounting ledgers with double entry accounting for a more transparent and fraud resistant transaction system. Double entry accounting is essential to modern commerce to rationalize transactions and prevent fraud. Using this concept of double entry with consensus can be used for preventing financial fraud. The killer ’feature’ in this paper is also the process of comparing research that is envisioned by the author and further improved or enhanced by AI or more commonly known language models. In this case this language model product is ChatGPT [2] by the OpenAI Research and Development Organization. We will also compare the results to get interesting insights on generated results.

The super-twisting algorithm is widely used in the design of controllers, observers, and differentiators. This paper investigates its application to achieve consensus among a team of peer agents characterized by first-order perturbed dynamics. Agents communicate through a directed, weight-balanced communication topology. The key contributions include employing the super-twisting algorithm to solve the finite-time robust consensus problem and developing a method for constructing a family of strict Lyapunov functions to analyze its robust stability. The analysis is based on the Lyapunov approach, and the necessary conditions for the stability of the closed-loop system are derived. Simulations supporting the theoretical analysis are also provided.

In the offshore wind farms connected to diode-rectifier-based high-voltage dc (HVDC), conventional distributed grid-forming control suffers from inherent coupling between active power, reactive power, and grid frequency, leading to large oscillations in reactive power and grid frequency during transient states. This work proposes a consensus-based distributed control to decouple power and frequency control. Firstly, a sparse communication network-based consensus algorithm is employed in each wind turbine controller, which enables local observation of the global average reactive power. On this basis, a dynamic virtual capacitance control and a droop-free frequency control are proposed, eliminating reactive power and frequency oscillations. The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated by comprehensive simulation and Controller Hardware-in-the-Loop (C-HiL) results.

Blockchain technology, which was originally created for cryptocurrencies, has significant research gaps when applied to the healthcare domain. This paper tackles two important research gaps concerning blockchain implementation in health-care: consensus algorithm and network design. While public blockchains are often undesirable for healthcare due to their inherent characteristics, private blockchains provide a more acceptable option. The major goal of this study is to offer an improved consensus algorithm and a blockchain network design that is tailored to healthcare requirements. The suggested system attempts to increase security, scalability, and decentralisation while tackling the unique constraints of maintaining sensitive patient data across a distributed network.

Blockchain networks must ensure secure and efficient consensus algorithms in consumer electronics and Internet of Things (IoT) devices. This paper proposes a novel consensus algorithm, “Proof-of-Authority-and-Association (PoA 2 )”, designed specifically for IoT blockchain networks in consumer applications. PoA 2 leverages redundancy-based mechanisms to enhance consensus efficiency and reliability, which is critical for real-time data processing and validation in IoT environments. The algorithm integrates proof of authority and association verification, ensuring network participants are authorized and associated with the transactions they validate. Combining these elements, PoA 2 mitigates common challenges such as latency, scalability, and energy consumption often encountered in traditional consensus algorithms. Through simulations and performance evaluations, we demonstrate PoA 2 's effectiveness in achieving consensus while maintaining high levels of security and reducing computational overhead, making it suitable for resource-constrained IoT devices in consumer electronics applications.

The rapid development of the Internet of Things has brought convenience to people's lives, but it has also reduced the security of personal information, to strengthen the security and privacy of authentication information in the Internet of Things, this paper brings the Raft consensus algorithm into the design of authentication protocol to improve the security of user information. The anti-forgery tenure defence mechanism model is constructed on the basis of Raft consensus algorithm, through which the node forgery tenure behaviour is identified and the corresponding punishment is given. Along with this, four phases of registration, generation of authentication blocks, login, and generation of e-ID and authentication are designed for the authentication protocol. In the evaluation, it is found that the time complexity of the Raft consensus algorithm in this paper under the comparison of the four algorithms is only E, and the average running time is only 0.0063 ms. The Raft consensus algorithm can effectively reduce the network authentication time and improve the overall efficiency. At this time, the two-way authentication not only has untraceable ability and also has perfect expansion ability, in order to ensure the overall security at the same time to ensure the integrity of the data, in the non-cloning conditions, to prevent DOS attacks and counterfeiting attacks, this paper's protocol security is the most ideal. Not only does it improve the privacy of personal information, but it also provides guiding suggestions for future related research.

Distributed energy storage units are often used in isolated DC microgrid. To prevent overcharge and discharge of energy storage units, it is necessary to balance the SOC of each energy storage unit to facilitate the monitoring of SOC of energy storage units. Therefore, the consensus algorithm is used to balance the real-time SOC of each energy storage unit. Combined with adaptive droop control, the output current of each energy storage unit is controlled, and the current proportion coefficient is defined. At the same time, the control strategy considers the difference of line impedance of each energy storage unit and can ensure the stability of bus voltage of islanded DC microgrid when the system operation reaches steady state. The influence of DC load change on SOC balance of each energy storage unit in islanded DC microgrid is also considered. Finally, the control strategy is simulated and verified in MATLAB/Simulink.

In this paper, we address the average consensus problem of multi-agent systems for possibly unbalanced and delay-prone networks with directional information flow. We propose a linear distributed algorithm (referred to as RP-PAC) that handles asynchronous updates and time-varying heterogeneous information delays. Our proposed distributed algorithm utilizes a surplus-consensus mechanism and information regarding the number of incoming and outgoing links to guarantee state averaging, despite the imbalanced and delayed information flow in directional networks. The convergence of the RPPAC algorithm is examined using key properties of the backward product of time-varying matrices that correspond to different snapshots of the directional augmented network.
