Blockchain is a distributed ledger technology that has recently gained widespread popularity. Many industries have started to implement blockchain solutions for their application and services. Blockchain provides immutability, privacy, security, and transparency. There is no central authority to validate and verify the transactions, still, every transaction in the Blockchain is considered secure and verified. This is made possible by the use of a consensus algorithm which is a core part of any Blockchain network. Different consensus algorithms exist and the selection of appropriate consensus algorithms can affect the performance of the blockchain. This paper presents a pattern for one of the most commonly used blockchain consensus algorithms, which is the Proof of Stake (PoS) algorithm. This pattern describes its architecture, including its structure and dynamics.

Blockchain technology, which was originally created for cryptocurrencies, has significant research gaps when applied to the healthcare domain. This paper tackles two important research gaps concerning blockchain implementation in health-care: consensus algorithm and network design. While public blockchains are often undesirable for healthcare due to their inherent characteristics, private blockchains provide a more acceptable option. The major goal of this study is to offer an improved consensus algorithm and a blockchain network design that is tailored to healthcare requirements. The suggested system attempts to increase security, scalability, and decentralisation while tackling the unique constraints of maintaining sensitive patient data across a distributed network.

In this paper, a blockchain consensus algorithm tailored to Internet of Vehicles (IoV) environment is proposed to solve the deficiencies of traditional consensus algorithms such as high latency, low throughput and excessive resource consumption. The proposed approach adopts a hybrid consensus algorithm, which combines the Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) algorithm with the Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (PBFT) algorithm. This hybrid algorithm elects representative nodes via a voting mechanism to execute the verification process. Simulation results demonstrate that the consensus algorithm delineated in this paper outperforms traditional consensus algorithms in terms of latency and throughput, rendering it better suited for IoV-related scenarios.

The super-twisting algorithm is widely used in the design of controllers, observers, and differentiators. This paper investigates its application to achieve consensus among a team of peer agents characterized by first-order perturbed dynamics. Agents communicate through a directed, weight-balanced communication topology. The key contributions include employing the super-twisting algorithm to solve the finite-time robust consensus problem and developing a method for constructing a family of strict Lyapunov functions to analyze its robust stability. The analysis is based on the Lyapunov approach, and the necessary conditions for the stability of the closed-loop system are derived. Simulations supporting the theoretical analysis are also provided.

A privacy-preserving average consensus algorithm is designed based on the Beaver triple technique against passive adversaries. The Beaver triple technique is integrated into a restructure of the discrete-time average consensus algorithm to preserve the privacy of initial values of agents in a multiagent system. The performance of the algorithm is theoretically analyzed.

In natural gas automated trading, transaction efficiency of the whole trading system will inevitably be affected with the expansion of network size and the increase of transaction volume. In order to improve the timeliness of the consensus algorithm, a hybrid consensus algorithm PoE (Proof of Evaluation) which combines proof-of-work and proof-of-stake based on evaluation model is proposed. Firstly, the nodes are randomly and uniformly grouped, and each group performs the selection of candidate nodes in a PoW manner, which divides the nodes into candidate nodes and normal nodes, and reduces the difficulty of hash computation, thus reducing the arithmetic resources consumed in finding random numbers. Secondly, the upper limit of the entitlement value is set, which solves the problem of infinite growth of the entitlement. The credit mechanism is introduced to obtain the credit evaluation of the nodes. And lastly, the candidate nodes are evaluated by the evaluation model with a weight val-ue evaluation, and the candidate node with the largest weight value obtains the block bookkeeping right. Theoretical studies and simulation experiments show that our algorithm can reduce the waste of arithmetic resources, balance the competition for bookkeeping rights, and improve the security while reducing the delay and increasing the throughput. It provides new ideas to enhance the function of blockchain system, and also meets the basic technical standards of natural gas automated transactions, effectively solving the problems of transaction processing inefficiency in natural gas automated transactions.

Blockchain has become a new technology development trend, and consensus algorithm, as the core technology of blockchain, has also received more and more attention and attracted extensive interest in the academic community. In order to solve the shortcomings of the existing research on the digital development of the sports industry chain, this paper discusses the concept of the sports industry, the composition of the sports industry chain, the blockchain architecture and the RDPoS consensus algorithm, and then investigates and discusses the consensus algorithm computing platform and node evaluation. The digital platform of sports industry chain is designed. And the application scheme of the intelligent blockchain consensus algorithm in the fund side privacy protection of the sports product industry chain sales system was designed. Through the experimental analysis of the algorithm throughput in the transaction process, the experimental data showed that the RDPoS algorithm throughput reached 1000 when the number of nodes was 100 and 125, which was better than the other two consensus algorithms. Therefore, the application of this algorithm in the framework of digital development of sports industry chain has a good effect.

In recent years, with Bitcoin taking the lead, the blockchain technology has been put in the spotlight as it introduced a method for multiple parties to achieve consensus without trust. Nevertheless, the according application is constrained due to its limitations in scalability. In this paper, we proposed a highly scalable consensus model based on majority voting cellular automata, namely the MOCA consensus, with a distinctive blockchain-based distributed ledger in which the state change of each node depends on its neighbors. MOCA consensus origins from the zero-temperature Ising model with spontaneous magnetization achieving scalability of number of nodes with high probability Byzantine fault tolerance.

consensus algorithms play a critical role in blockchains and directly impact their performance. During consensus processing, nodes need to validate and order the pending transactions into a new block, which requires verifying the application-specific data encapsulated within a transaction. This exposes the underlying data to the consensus nodes, presenting privacy concerns. Existing consensus algorithms focus on realizing application security and performance goals, but lack privacy-by-design properties or are resource-heavy and intended for securing permissionless blockchain networks. In this paper, we propose P-CFT, a zero-knowledge and crash fault tolerant consensus algorithm for permissioned blockchains. The proposed consensus algorithm provides inherent data privacy directly to the consensus layer, while still providing guarantees of crash fault tolerance. We conduct experiments using the Hyperledger Ursa cryptographic library, and the results show promise for integrating P-CFT into existing permissioned blockchain systems requiring privacy-preserving and crash fault tolerant features.

The voltage violation in low-voltage distribution network (LVDN) with high penetration of distributed photovoltaic (PV) is becoming more and more serious. One of the effective methods to solve this problem is to configure appropriate distributed energy storage units (ESUs) in the system and control them reasonably. In this paper, A distributed consensus algorithm based on the segmented V-P droop control of the key node is proposed to mitigate the voltage violation problems by using distributed ESUs. This strategy determines the ESUs participation in voltage regulation in terms of their rated power as well as state of charge (SoC) to prevent their excessive saturation or depletion. Except that, the strategy reduces the dependence on central controller and improves the robustness of the system. Finally, the simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed strategy in this paper.
