Principal component analysis is one of the most important methods of multivariate analysis, and has been applied in a wide range of fields such as statistical analysis, machine learning, pattern recognition, signal processing, and communication. Recently, using the idea of multi-agent networks, distributed algorithms for principal component analysis have been proposed for the case where the data matrix is partitioned either row-wise or column-wise. In this paper, considering the case where the data matrix is partitioned both row-wise and column-wise, we propose a new algorithm that allows a multi-agent network to perform principal component analysis in a distributed manner. We also verify its validity by numerical experiments. The proposed algorithm is based on the power method for principal component analysis and the average consensus algorithm.

The voltage violation in low-voltage distribution network (LVDN) with high penetration of distributed photovoltaic (PV) is becoming more and more serious. One of the effective methods to solve this problem is to configure appropriate distributed energy storage units (ESUs) in the system and control them reasonably. In this paper, A distributed consensus algorithm based on the segmented V-P droop control of the key node is proposed to mitigate the voltage violation problems by using distributed ESUs. This strategy determines the ESUs participation in voltage regulation in terms of their rated power as well as state of charge (SoC) to prevent their excessive saturation or depletion. Except that, the strategy reduces the dependence on central controller and improves the robustness of the system. Finally, the simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed strategy in this paper.

The traditional industrial Internet platform adopts a centralized data storage model, and the security sharing of data generated by terminal devices is a major bottleneck that hinders the development of industrial Internet. Along with the geometric growth of terminal data, protecting the security and integrity of data has become the core research area of the Industrial Internet. Blockchain is distributed, open, transparent and tamper-evident, and can provide a reliable underlying service to realize a distributed data security sharing system. Therefore, this paper proposes a blockchain-based data security sharing model for industrial Internet platforms, with a distributed blockchain network as the core to build up a decentralized data security sharing service. Meanwhile, to address the problems of high consensus latency, low throughput and performance, and no support for node dynamic management of the practical Byzantine fault-tolerant (PBFT) algorithm used in blockchain, a simplified consistency protocol and a new node management mechanism are introduced to achieve dynamic management of nodes while reducing the complexity of algorithm communication.

Distributed energy storage units are often used in isolated DC microgrid. To prevent overcharge and discharge of energy storage units, it is necessary to balance the SOC of each energy storage unit to facilitate the monitoring of SOC of energy storage units. Therefore, the consensus algorithm is used to balance the real-time SOC of each energy storage unit. Combined with adaptive droop control, the output current of each energy storage unit is controlled, and the current proportion coefficient is defined. At the same time, the control strategy considers the difference of line impedance of each energy storage unit and can ensure the stability of bus voltage of islanded DC microgrid when the system operation reaches steady state. The influence of DC load change on SOC balance of each energy storage unit in islanded DC microgrid is also considered. Finally, the control strategy is simulated and verified in MATLAB/Simulink.

Blockchain technology has recently witnessed a rapid proliferation across multiple industries and has the potential to evolve as a popular energy transaction platform for grid operators and general users. The current proof-of-work consensus algorithm used by many blockchain protocols suffer from vulnerabilities such as the majority attacks problem and strip mining. The algorithm often requires specialized application-specific hardware and involves energy-intensive computation, making it an unlikely candidate for power grid applications. On the other hand, the proof-of-stake consensus algorithm is susceptible to the well-known nothing-at-stake vulnerability issue, making it equally unlikely to be used in large-scale secured energy transactions. An energy-efficient locational marginal pricing-based hybrid proof-of-work, proof-of-stake consensus algorithm is proposed to mitigate such risks. The hybrid consensus algorithm uses an optimized market-based energy pricing model to select the mining and forging nodes. A detailed framework of the hybrid consensus algorithm is provided, along with an overview of its potential application to record large volumes of energy transactions and execute obligatory smart-contract agreements.

In view of the engineering and algorithm conflicts in the application process of alliance chains, this article analyzes the threat risks faced by public and alliance chains, and summarizes their differences. By analyzing the typical alliance chain consensus algorithms of CFT and BFT, we propose a simple consensus algorithm (SCA) for blockchain. The algorithm is designed from the perspectives of participation roles, view switching, transaction consensus, and model analysis, and can achieve efficient view switching and transaction consensus through a three-part minimal structure. It can support the conversion between CFT and BFT through consensus threshold definitions, with the shortest execution period and fastest consensus efficiency. After in-depth analysis, the algorithm has a fault tolerance rate of no less than N/3, which is significantly better than the PBFT algorithm in terms of processing performance, while resisting existing threats to the consortium chain.

Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance algorithm (PBFT) can improve efficiency on the basis of the original algorithm, but there are still some issues such as high algorithm complexity, arbitrary decision of primary nodes, and poor scalability. In order to solve these issues, this paper proposes an optimized algorithm GS-PBFT based on the scoring mechanism and the stake mechanism. GS-PBFT first groups the nodes, and the primary nodes in the group also need to participate in the consensus outside the group. Secondly, a scoring mechanism is proposed to score nodes based on whether they can correctly finish the consensus and the efficiency of taking part in consensus. Malicious nodes can be identified and eliminated, and nodes that are unable to participate in consensus due to downtime can be quickly restored. Finally, a stake mechanism is proposed to improve the active nodes' weight, thereby accelerating overall efficiency. Simulation experiments show that compared with the original algorithm, the GS-PBFT algorithm proposed in this paper has greatly improved efficiency, tolerance of malicious nodes, and throughput indicators.

Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (PBFT) is a deterministic consensus algorithm, which is widely used in blockchain due to the advantage of no forks. However, PBFT still has some problems, such as not being suitable for dynamic networks, requiring large communication overhead, and not being able to identify Byzantine nodes. Therefore, we propose Extensible-PBFT (EPBFT) consensus algorithm, it can take different steps to reach consensus according to the network environment of the system. Firstly, we add the election of consensus nodes based on verifiable random function (VRF), which makes EPBFT suitable for dynamic networks. Then, we modify the consistency protocol so that EPBFT can reach consensus with less communication in a stable network, and it can also identify Byzantine nodes and reduce confirmation latency. Finally, we simplify the checkpoint protocol and the view-change protocol, reducing the time and communication overhead they require.

In this paper, we address the average consensus problem of multi-agent systems for possibly unbalanced and delay-prone networks with directional information flow. We propose a linear distributed algorithm (referred to as RP-PAC) that handles asynchronous updates and time-varying heterogeneous information delays. Our proposed distributed algorithm utilizes a surplus-consensus mechanism and information regarding the number of incoming and outgoing links to guarantee state averaging, despite the imbalanced and delayed information flow in directional networks. The convergence of the RPPAC algorithm is examined using key properties of the backward product of time-varying matrices that correspond to different snapshots of the directional augmented network.

Blockchain has received tremendous attention in non-monetary applications including the Internet of Things (IoT) due to its salient features including decentralization, security, auditability, and anonymity. Most conventional blockchains rely on computationally expensive validator selection and consensus algorithms, have limited throughput, and high transaction delays. In this paper, we propose tree-chain a scalable fast blockchain instantiation that introduces two levels of randomization among the validators: i) transaction level where the validator of each transaction is selected randomly based on the most significant characters of the hash function output (known as consensus code), and ii) blockchain level where validator is randomly allocated to a particular consensus code based on the hash of their public key. Tree-chain introduces parallel chain branches where each validator commits the corresponding transactions in a unique ledger.
