consensus is one of the most actively studied topics within the realm of multi-agent systems. It generally aims to drive flocks to achieve a common group objective. In this study, a Cucker-Smale model for consensus algorithm has been implemented to resolve the issue of flocking for power systems. By using this model, consensus can be achieved by randomly chosing the initial positions and velocities of the birds with a minimum number of iterations. Moreover, at the end the simulation results for 7 and 25 birds have been presented to confirm the convergence of the agent's average velocities and directions.

Collaborative learning is a fast growing branch of machine learning. This approach allows to learn a global model keeping user data private and to easily scale a system. However, many algorithms for collaborative learning rely on aggregation of parameters learned by an each individual agent on a single server followed by a global model obtaining. With such approach the server becomes a single failure point. Another common assumption concerns noises in data. Most of the works consider only noises with finite variance. Altough it is known, that heavy-tailed noises arise in many real models.

With the rapid development of Bitcoin, blockchain has also received more and more attention, and consensus algorithm is the key to the development of blockchain technology, which directly affects the security, scalability, and transaction processing speed of blockchain. This paper analyzes the popular consensus algorithm and its evolution. The representative consensus algorithm is analyzed in detail. The evaluation system of consensus algorithm is given from four aspects of security, decentralization, consistency, and scalability, hoping to provide a reference for the development and innovation of consensus algorithm.

Blockchain technology has the advantages of decentralization, data tampering and data transparency, so that the application field of this technology continues to expand. However, the current consensus algorithm applied in blockchain system has some problems, such as arbitrary selection of master nodes, high communication complexity and low consensus efficiency. An enhanced consensus algorithm (BV-PBFT) is suggested in this study. The consensus protocol is simplified, the communication complexity of the algorithm is reduced, and the effectiveness of consensus is improved. First, the credit value of nodes is calculated by the credit model, and according to the credit value of nodes, the nodes in the network are divided into three types of nodes with different responsibilities. Secondly, the random and verifiable characteristics of verifiable random function (VRF) are used to construct an anonymous master selection algorithm to improve the selection of master nodes. According to experimental findings, the suggested consensus algorithm, when compared to the PBFT method, minimizes the time complexity from to , significantly lowers communication overhead and consensus delay in the network, and increases consensus efficiency and throughput.

In islanded microgrids, the existence of nonlinear electric loads may cause voltage distortion and affect the performance of power quality sensitive equipment. Thanks to the prevalent utilization of interfacing power electronic devices and information/communication technologies, distributed generators can be employed as compensators to enhance the power quality on consumer side. However, conventional centralized control is facing obstacles because of the distributed fashion of generation and consumption. Accordingly, this paper proposes a consensus algorithm based distributed hierarchical control to realize voltage harmonic compensation and accurate current sharing in multi-bus islanded microgrids. Low order harmonic components are considered as examples in this paper. Harmonic current sharing is also realized among distributed generators by applying the proposed methods. Plug-and-play capability is demonstrated for flexible operation. The proposed method is based on proper analysis and modeling of the system.

The blockchain is a decentralized distributed accounting system. With the development of the blockchain technology and its wide application, the core of the decentralization-consensus algorithm has attracted the attention of researchers. However, the previous POW mining consensus algorithm is a low-efficiency and high-cost consensus mechanism. In this paper, we propose an MPC-DPOS election consensus algorithm, which is improved by integrating the logic ring-based election algorithm and the Yao's millionaire algorithm into the basic DPOS algorithm to address secure multi-party computation problem. Specifically, the MPC-DPOS algorithm first selects the 101 candidate nodes from the many nodes of the blockchain system into a logical ring in the first stage, which will participate in the next election process of the proxy nodes to generate new blocks. In addition, since the weights are compared while the shares are not known, Yao's millionaire algorithm is added in the second election process, and the agent nodes are selected to generate new blocks finally. Extensive experiments show that the proposed MPC-DPOS election consensus algorithm achieves state-of-the-art performance with the respect to safety and adaptability to meet the high efficiency and low-cost requirements of commercial applications.

In order to solve the problem of power quality (PQ) of transport power supply system (TPSS) in electrified railways, a distributed voltage unbalance (VU) collaborative compensation strategy is proposed. To utilize the compensator capacity of Static Var Generator (SVG) and photovoltaic (PV) converter effectively, this paper focuses on developing a dynamic consensus algorithm to reactive power sharing proportionally among distributed generation (DG) units and improving the voltage quality at the point of common coupling (PCC). Therefore, making the output of the PV converter and SVG can be produced in the same proportion as its remaining capacity. With proposed methods, the transport power supply system reliability and flexibility can be enhanced. Additionally, the simulation results verify the feasibility of the collaborative compensation strategy.

Nowadays, in the islanded microgrid (IMG), the active power sharing is an important issue. To realize the reasonable sharing of active power among energy resources considering the economical operation and pollutant emission, a power regulation strategy based on sliding mode controller (SMC) and consensus algorithm is proposed in this paper. The design process is as below: firstly, a novel consensus algorithm combining with SMC is proposed. Then, on the basis of the designed consensus algorithm, a novel power regulation strategy is proposed, which can share the active power economically among resources with reducing pollutant emission. Finally, the related case tests are provided to confirm the effect of the novel regulation strategy.

In this paper, a new algorithm for distributed multi-target tracking in a sensor network is proposed. The main feature of that algorithm, combining the SPSA techniques and iterative averaging ("consensus algorithm"), is the ability to solve distributed optimization problems in presence of signals with fully uncertain distribution; the only assumption is the signal’s boundedness. As an example, we consider the multi-target tracking problem, in which the unknown signals include measurement errors and unpredictable target’s maneuvers; statistical properties of these signals are unknown. A special choice of weights in the algorithm enables its application to targets exhibiting different behaviors. An explicit estimate of the residual’s covariance matrix is obtained, which may be considered as a performance index of the algorithm. Theoretical results are illustrated by numerical simulations.

At present, the application model and business model of the blockchain are still being explored. How to better integrate the blockchain technology into the power transaction business scenario to improve the quality and efficiency needs to be further explored in combination with the specific business development needs. In view of the large scale of market entities and high transaction processing capabilities in the large-scale and high-concurrency power transaction business scenario, this paper studies the parallel processing technology of blockchain transactions, realizes the parallel processing of transactions, and supports the parallel reading and writing capabilities of tens of thousands of entities. Research on the blockchain consensus algorithm suitable for power trading business can shorten the transaction consensus and execution time, and ensure that the consensus mechanism meets the concurrency requirements of business responsiveness and performance requirements.
