Multi-objective energy management of multiple microgrids under random electric vehicle charging

In view of the increasing development of decentralized power systems and electric vehicles, this paper seeks to improve the energy management performance of multiple microgrid systems under the uncertainty associated with electric vehicle charging. A multi-objective optimization model is established for minimizing the transmission losses, operating costs, and carbon emissions of multiple microgrid systems. Firstly, a novel method is proposed for forecasting electric vehicle charging loads based on a back propagation neural network improved by long short-term memory deep learning. Based on the forecast data, a double layer solution algorithm is proposed, which consists of an adaptive multi-objective evolutionary algorithm based on decomposition and differential evolution at the multiple microgrids layer and a modified consistency algorithm for fast economic scheduling at the single microgrid layer. Finally, a model system composed of four interconnected IEEE microgrids is simulated as a case study, and the performance of the proposed algorithm is compared with that of conventional multi-objective evolutionary algorithms based on decomposition. The simulation results demonstrate the superiority of the global search performance and the rapid convergence performance of the proposed improved algorithm. (C) 2020 Elsevier Ltd. In order to meet the requirements of precise power allocation for stable economic operation of microgrid systems, a distributed collaborative control strategy based on hierarchical microgrid is proposed in this paper. Considering the droop stability control of the parallel inverters as the first-level basic control layer, the second-level distributed voltage correction control strategy is designed to overcome the first-order voltage offset problem. At the same time, the power generation cost of the micro-source is selected as the objective function and the power matching of the micro-sources and load-demand are regarded as the constraints to realize a three-level consistent distributed optimization control strategy. Adopting the above three level control strategy, the output voltage fluctuation of microgrid system is reduced, the robustness of the system is enhanced and the optimal power distribution of the microgrid system is realized. Finally, a simulation model is built to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy in stability and economic operation of the microgrid.

In order to solve the problems of self-collision, obstacle avoidance and formation communication architecture of UAVs, a distributed formation control strategy was proposed using the combination of graph theory and artificial potential field theory. Firstly, the UAV formation model of fixed undirected communication topology was established. For the issues that may occur such as deadlocks and formation safety, the segmented idea, rotation force and potential force between the machines were introduced to improve the force function of the potential field, which made the formation realize obstacle avoidance and trajectory pre-planning accurately. Secondly, the state error of UAV was corrected according to the consistency theory, and the formation cooperative obstacle avoidance control law was designed to achieve the desired state consistency and track ***, the convergence consistency of the proposed control algorithm was proved by constructing Hamilton function. The simulation results show that the UAV formation can avoid obstacles effectively and achieve the desired consistency quickly.

Distributed cooperative optimal control architecture for AC microgrid with renewable generation and storage

AC microgrid is a promising approach to integrate various distributed generators and energy storage into the power system, and provide renewable and reliable energy to the customers. However, highly intermittent distributed energy sources and varying load demands pose increasing challenges for optimal energy management in an AC microgrid. In this paper, a distributed cooperative optimal control method based on the discrete consistency algorithm is proposed to realize the large-scale penetration of renewable energy in an AC microgrid. The proposed approach is implemented through a multi-agent distributed hierarchical control architecture, which only requires a local communication network to exchange the information. The optimal control is achieved through a three-level control architecture. The third control level aims at multi-objective optimal scheduling, considering the factors such as fuel consumption, pollution in the form of emissions and operational maintenance. The second control level is based on the discrete consistency algorithm that optimizes the frequency and voltage references of droop control and also shares the active and reactive power accurately according to the particular demand. The first control level is responsible for reference tracking of the associated components. Compared with the conventional centralized and decentralized controls, the proposed control method offers increased robustness and flexibility in the AC microgrid control, and only requires limited communication between neighboring agents to realize a global optimization. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed strategy is verified in a typical AC microgrid model by using the PSCAD/EMTDC software.

In multidisciplinary collaborative, Sometimes one variable may be shared by several constraints subject to different disciplinary, or one constraint includes several variables subject to different disciplinary. Using non-cooperative game theory to model the relationship between design teams can effectively achieve decoupling of constraints. In view of this, we present a robust collaborative approach which adopts interval to describe the uncertainty of decision variables and considers the Rational Reaction Sets (RRS) from non-cooperation game theory as design constraint in the decision space. Therefore multidisciplinary collaborative decision is described as an interval based constraint solving problem and a two-step solving approach was developed to obtain final robust decision scheme. A new kind of feasibility censor based immune chaotic algorithm for model solving was designed. Finally, a single disk elastic rotor system is used as example to validate the effectiveness and reliability of proposed decision approach.

Parallel Control Method Based on the Consensus algorithm for the Non-Isolated AC/DC Charging Module

A high-power charging station for electric vehicles usually adopts a parallel structure of multiple power modules. However, due to the parameter differences among power modules, a parallel system always has circulating current issues. This paper takes a non-isolated AC/DC charging module as the research object and proposes a current sharing control strategy for multiple power modules based on the consensus algorithm. By constructing a sparse communication network with the CAN (Controller Area Network) protocol and exchanging current information, accurate current sharing among power modules is realized. Firstly, the zero-sequence circulating current issue is analyzed through a parallel model of the three-phase rectifier, with an improved circulating current restraint strategy proposed based on the zero-sequence voltage compensation. Then, the principle of the consensus algorithm is explained, which is applied to the current sharing control of multiple power modules. Finally, the proposal is tested by the designed simulation and experimental cases. From the obtained results, it can be seen that the proposed control strategy can effectively realize accurate current sharing among multiple power modules and well restrain the zero-sequence circulating current at the input side.

How to preserve causal and totally ordered event delivery is an important issue in real-time serverless DVE(Distributed Virtual Environment). However, most of the related works are designed to maintain causal order merely or time stamped order with intensive computation and bandwidth overhead. In this paper, we proposed a novel distributed algorithm to maintain the before-and-after relationship between events, both causal and concurrent, of DVE at each individual node. Several simulation experiments are carried out to evaluate the performance of our algorithm and the results demonstrate that the algorithm is effective in preserving causal and totally ordered event delivery and more efficient than the previous algorithms.

Most of the multiplayer games available online are based on a client-server architecture because this architecture gives better administration control to the game providers. Besides controlling the account and payment information of the players, this architecture also prevents players from cheating as all the game logic is executing on the centralized server. We proposed a server assisted approach for mobile games in [2]. However, because of the varying and high latency of wireless networks and of the changing consistency requirements during the game play, it is difficult to keep the user experience highly interactive in client-server architecture. This paper presents an adaptive hybrid client-server architecture which changes its behavior according to network and game environment variations to improve game state consistency across different mobile terminals. The server applies consistency mechanism on its side, as in the traditional client-server architecture and dynamically switches to apply a client side consistency mechanism when inconsistencies occur at the client side because of the change in network conditions and/or game requirements. We have evaluated our approach on a car racing game. The results show that we can obtain an improved global consistency under a high and varying latency network using our dynamically adaptable approach.

With the growing use of dynamic content by mobile content distribution systems, how to manage dynamically changing files has become an important issue, since the cached replicas on different mobile sites must be updated if the originals have been changed. Therefore, this paper proposes a priority based selection method to enhance the efficient utilization of network resource and support the client mobility for Mobile Contents Delivery Network (M-CDN). On one hand, a consistency priority is calculated by analyzing the characteristics of mobile surrogates. If a given content which has been changed on its original node, only the replicas with the high consistency priority instead of all replicas are updated. On the other hand, an update priority is also proposed. If a replica has been selected for update, the latest version will be sent from the site decided by the update consistency. Simulation results show that the proposed new approach outperforms other conventional methods. © 2009 IEEE.
