The present work deals with the design and validation of a formation flight control algorithm able to manage five aircraft simulated using a linear model representative of a a medium altitude, long endurance unmanned airplane. The proposed approach is based on the artificial potential field and it is validated both in bi-dimensional and three-dimensional spaces. Even though the aircraft models are time-invariant, the external environment is simulated to be time-variant. In fact, within the simulation it is possible to simulate intruders, or object moving with its own dynamics, and no-fly zones.

Modeling and performance analysis of multiple area power system in S-domain is described in the present article. PID controller is used for load frequency control of the proposed multiple area power system. The use of PID controller ensures the reliability of power flow after a huge load disturbance in the power system network. Optimum values of Proportional, Integral and Differential controller gain has been determined using optimal control algorithm for reliable operation of the proposed multiple area power system. In this paper, an advanced control algorithm in single-phase active rectifier for reduction of grid current harmonics is presented. In addition to PI current controller, three advanced types of controllers are investigated: resonant, discrete cosine transforms (DCT) and repetitive controller. These controllers are able to effectively reduce harmonics, caused by periodic disturbances. A simulation model has been built to test the proposed algorithms. Simulation results confirm significant improvement in grid current harmonic content, achieved by these advanced current controllers. Analysis of memory usage and computing power requirements is also provided.

A hexapod platform can be considered as a solution for space missions in which more-established isolators (e.g. viscoelastic mounts) are not adequate to achieve the required high-performance isolation. Nevertheless, these platforms are rarely integrated on a spacecraft due to several drawbacks they still present. The proposed hexapod platform aims at overcoming most of the current limitations, especially in terms of power consumption, complexity and isolation performance. A new algorithm for controlling a multielement mirror of a large telescope is considered and justified in the general case for a large number of joints between rows of elements. It is intended for the creation of an effective unified control system for several objects under the constraints of budget error limits. A version of this algorithm is suggested in the autostabilization system of the Millimetron telescope. An error in the relative positioning of the elements is estimated and the sensor positions are detected. The results confirm quite successful the applicability of this control algorithm as a part of the adaptation contour of large telescopes with multielement primary mirrors.

The multi-motor system position synchronous control has been widely used in the manufacturing industry, and its control structure and control strategy have a great impact on the quality and efficiency of industrial production. Referring to a large amount of domestic and foreign research literature in recent years, this paper first gives an overall classification diagram of position synchronous control algorithms for the multi-motor system, then reviews seven typical control structures and analyses their synchronous performance of position synchronous control for the multi-motor system. Then, the comprehensive performance comparison of the six traditional PID control algorithms and modern control algorithms is summarized. After that, a multi-motor-integrated position synchronous control algorithm without combining position synchronous control structures is described. Finally, the main research difficulties of position synchronous control for the multi-motor system is reviewed from three aspects: jitter vibration suppression of position output, position synchronous control and motor quantity, and the relationship between position synchronous control and mechanical coupling. Finally, the future development trends in the position synchronous control for the multi-motor system are summarized and analysed.

Standard modeling approaches rooted in analytical mechanics do not readily admit changes to the configuration space of a dynamic system. However, the proposed architecture is designed to handle discrete connection and detachment events using a dynamic constraint management algorithm.
