The paper presents the drive system of the developed Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) including hardware and, especially, software. The designed software for MC9S12DG128 is described, consisted of initialization procedure, main procedure, and executive procedure which includes function subroutine, commutation control subroutine, speed control subroutine, angle control subroutine and interrupt subroutine. Fuzzy control, PI control and Fuzzy embed into PI control algorithms are adopted in the system respectively to analyse their performance comparatively. The Switched Reluctance drive system (SRD) is tested experimentally based on the speed curves and the phase current waveforms obtained in different conditions.

This paper presents a novel control algorithm that dynamically directs the current between a small supercapacitor / ultracapacitor pack and an electric vehicle battery to create an economical hybrid energy storage system. This has the potential to extend the service life of the battery by reducing the battery peak currents, adding value to the electric vehicle. To validate the effectiveness of the small SC pack on the battery's RMS and peak currents, simulations are presented using Powersim with drive cycle data from the Advanced Vehicle Simulator MATLAB application. The proposed algorithm demonstrates a 19 percent reduction in the battery pack RMS current while using an SC pack that has up to six times less total capacitance than existing SC-based hybrid energy storage systems.

A new simulation module is created based on the Simulink S-Function to meet the main characteristic of the active sequential optimal control (SOC) algorithm, in which the gain matrix is time variation, and embed into the Simulink Standard Block Library. Based on this new block library, a numerical simulation is carried out on the seismic responses of a five-storey base-isolated frame structure. Six key indices recommended by the ASCE are calculated to evaluate the control effects among the classical optimal control (COC), linear quadratic Gaussian (LQG) control and SOC in the case of the sensors normal working and sensors contaminated by white noise with different magnitudes, respectively. The results show that the new S-Function module is convenient and efficient in implementing a control algorithm simulation, and comparison with other two, the SOC algorithm has the best noise-resisting ability and the stable advantage in overall control effect.

This paper presents the development of bio-mimetic robot with helical coil as the thrust generating element and its control algorithm. The design and development of bio-mimetic robot adopts the bacteria inspired flagellum mechanism. Direction of the robot is controlled by rudder using a servo motor. Minimum force required to move the vehicle depends on the pressure drag acting on the body and its inertia. CAD model is generated and flow analysis is carried out to find the thrust developed by the helical coil which acts as a propeller. Permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is widely used in the industry because of its superior performance. The feedback information of the position and speed of the PMSM is essential for high-performance vector control. The installation of conventionalmechanical sensorswill increase the size, cost and reliability of the system. The sensorless control algorithm extracts the position and speed information of the motor by detecting the voltage and current signals of the motor, without mechanical sensors, which is one of the development trends of the control scheme of permanent magnet synchronous motor. This paper studies the sensorless control algorithm of permanent magnet synchronous motor based on neural network, and upgrades the underlying algorithm of motor control. The test shows that the motor control model using neural network algorithm achieves more efficient accuracy in motor control.

Extended range fuel cell vehicles are developing towards full power fuel cell vehicles, which require fuel cells to undertake most of the vehicle's power demand. Thus, fuel cell output power will change dynamically in a wide range, which may result in local gas shortage. It is necessary to design the control algorithm of fuel cell air supply system to ensure the sufficient reaction gas of fuel cell. This paper focuses on the dynamic characteristics and control method of fuel cell engine air supply system. The model of fuel cell system is built. And a new double-input and double-output control algorithm for air supply system is designed. The simulation results verified that the control algorithm performs well. The actual flow can track the target flow accurately whether the current step is up or down. The rising time of cathode inlet pressure is O.1s and the overshoot is 1.8% when the load is rising. The falling time of cathode inlet pressure is O.1s and the overshoot is 1.3% when the load is falling.

in this paper, we propose an efficient Indoor Light Automatic control System (ILACS) control algorithm for intelligent LED indoor lighting systems. The proposed ILACS control algorithm includes elements such as daylight intensity measured through a PIR sensor and an illuminance sensor at lighting style by a defined schedule and occupancy detection. This algorithmcontrols lighting through a wireless sensor network, and was designed for energy savings. Also, the algorithmcontrols indoor lighting based on occupancy detection of fine movements using a PIR sensor. Unnecessary lighting intensity control of the window-side and the inside were controlled according to daylight level measurements using the light sensor. In many cases of daylight inflow, the window-side lighting automatically became darker, and in daylight inflow, this occurred less, as the system was designed to be automatically bright. The efficiency validation results confirmed an efficient ILACS control algorithm for intelligent LED indoor lighting systems. The brightness of the indoor lights were employed to maximize the energy savings by controlling the system in real time when entering, in order to utilize external lighting or daylight.
