Extended range fuel cell vehicles are developing towards full power fuel cell vehicles, which require fuel cells to undertake most of the vehicle's power demand. Thus, fuel cell output power will change dynamically in a wide range, which may result in local gas shortage. It is necessary to design the control algorithm of fuel cell air supply system to ensure the sufficient reaction gas of fuel cell. This paper focuses on the dynamic characteristics and control method of fuel cell engine air supply system. The model of fuel cell system is built. And a new double-input and double-output control algorithm for air supply system is designed. The simulation results verified that the control algorithm performs well. The actual flow can track the target flow accurately whether the current step is up or down. The rising time of cathode inlet pressure is O.1s and the overshoot is 1.8% when the load is rising. The falling time of cathode inlet pressure is O.1s and the overshoot is 1.3% when the load is falling.

For fabricating high-quality mesh pattern in a deep concave spherical substrate by laser direct writing technique, the exposure dose must be kept constant during the whole scanning process. The principle of the equipment for fabricating mesh pattern in a deep concave spherical substrate via laser direct writing technique was introduced. And the formulas that express the mathematical relationships between the dimension of the substrate, parameters of mesh pattern and the scanning velocity have been deduced by analyzing motion state for scanning arbitrary latitude line. And the mathematical model of scanning motion with constant exposure dose was built. Then the servo control system including software and hardware was developed. The scanning angular velocity could be tuned precisely according to line's latitude by the control system, which could maintain the linear velocity invariantly to keep the exposure dose constant, so the lines' quality could be improved. Mesh pattern with 500 mu m gridding period was written in a deep concave spherical substrate with a rise-span ratio 0.31 utilizing the control algorithm. After development, the lines on the substrate have good uniformity, and there steep and straight side walls parallel to each other, error of linewidth and gridding period is within +/- 1% and +/- 5%, respectively.

The development and implementation of 4th generation advanced heating and cooling nodes is needed in the face of growing, and more and more differential thermal comfort needs. The paper introduces a unique novel structure of hybrid heating and cooling node designed, constructed and already operated under moderate climate conditions of Poland. The substation integrates centralized district heat rate with locally produced useful heat gain from solar thermal collectors. The system driven both by heat and electricity delivers central heating, domestic hot water, cooling power, and low-temperature waste heat. This manuscript describes the simulation model, preliminary validation results, proposes a method for smart control of the node with a flexibly chosen optimization criterion and shows its impact. Creation of the control procedure satisfying economic or environmental savings objective functions is presented and discussed. The procedure was built upon assumed economic data and boundary conditions. Its potential is verified by means of simulation on validated component models. Depending on function-defined thermal comfort needs, current surrounding conditions and chosen optimization criterion, implementing the procedure may contribute to savings of variable scale if compared to a reference case. Preliminary simulation results revealed that in average, the by applying the economic optimization criterion, the cumulative operational costs become 1/3 of the reference case. At the same time, if the environmental optimization criterion is considered, the cumulative harmful substances emission indicator can be decreased less significantly: by 0.6%.

The algorithm is based on the analytical relationship between the spot radius and a change in shape of the deformable mirror surface. A numerical simulation has been carried out, which verifies this relationship and its applicability to the wavefront correction. The control algorithm contains main program, several subprograms and three interrupt routines. This paper investigates control algorithms for a doubly fed induction generator with a back-to-back three-level neutral-point clamped voltage source converter in medium voltage wind power system under unbalanced grid conditions. Three different control algorithms to compensate for unbalanced conditions have been investigated with respect to four performance factors;fault ride-through capability, instantaneous active power pulsation, harmonic distortions and torque pulsation. The control algorithm having zero amplitude of torque ripple shows the most cost-effective performance concerning torque pulsation. The least active power pulsation is produced by control algorithm that nullifies the oscillating component of the instantaneous stator active and reactive power. Combination of these two control algorithms depending on the operating requirements and depth of grid unbalance presents most optimized performance factors under the generalized unbalanced operating conditions leading to high performance DFIG wind turbine system.
