Based on the problem of the control algorithm in the electric power steering（EPS） system,a current controller of EPS for vehicle handling stability is *** dynamic models of EPS and the vehicle were constructed,simplifying the evaluation system of vehicle handling stability,putting forward an EPS designed controller that has H mixed sensibility based on the evaluation index of vehicle handling *** test results indicate that the designed controller for EPS shows a favorable handling performance,it also could effectively restrain the noises and disturbances caused by sensors and road *** designed controller has robust stability and performance,and can effectively in prove the handling stability and safety of vehicles.

Timing analysis and a modified PID control algorithm of the fieldbus control system

The fieldbus control system (FCS) has been increasingly used in the process control area. This paper first shows the timing analysis of the fieldbus control loop by considering both communication and control tasks at the same time. As a result, the fieldbus control loop time was formulated, and the stability condition of the loop operation was represented with the loop time in the FCS. Then a modified PID control algorithm that is suitable for fieldbus devices was proposed to overcome varying communication delays. Finally, a fieldbus control loop was modeled and simulated to validate the timing analysis and the control algorithm. The simulation results showed that the control algorithm works well for the common processes having a first-order model with dead time and the stability of the fieldbus control loop can be assured under the unpredictable and varying time delays caused by the fieldbus.

Resonance Avoidance control algorithm for Semi-Submersible Floating Offshore Wind Turbine

In this study, a resonance avoidance control algorithm was designed to address the tower resonance problem of a semi-submersible floating offshore wind turbine (FOWT) and the dynamic performance of the wind turbine, floater platform, and mooring lines at two exclusion zone ranges were evaluated. The simulations were performed using Bladed, a commercial software for wind turbine analysis. The length of simulation for the analysis of the dynamic response of the six degrees of freedom (DoF) motion of the floater platform under a specific load case was 3600 s. The simulation results are presented in terms of the time domain, frequency domain, and using statistical analysis. As a result of applying the resonance avoidance control algorithm, when the exclusion zone range was +/- 0.5 rpm from the resonance rpm, the overall performance of the wind turbine was negatively affected, and when the range was sufficiently wide at +/- 1 rpm, the mean power was reduced by 0.04%, and the damage equivalent load of the tower base side-side bending moment was reduced by 14.02%. The tower resonance problem of the FOWT caused by practical limitations in design and cost issues can be resolved by changing the torque control algorithm.

Higher-harmonic-control algorithm for helicopter vibration reduction revisited

The higher-harmonic-control (HHC) algorithm is examined from a control theory perspective. A brief review of the history and variants of HHC is given, followed by a careful development of the algorithm. An analytic convergence and robustness analysis is then performed. Online identification with the adaptive variant of the algorithm is also addressed. A new version of the algorithm, relaxed HHC, is introduced and shown to have beneficial robustness properties Some numerical results comparing these variants of the HHC algorithm applied to helicopter vibration reduction are also presented. The results presented unify and extend previous work on the higher-harmonic-control algorithm.

Optimal control Method for HVAC Systems in Offices with a control algorithm Based on Thermal Environment

This study examined a method to reduce energy consumption in office buildings. Correspondingly, an optimal control method was proposed for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems via two control algorithms that considered the indoor thermal environment. The control algorithms were developed by considering temperature and humidity as the factors of the indoor thermal environment that influence the control of HVAC systems and the predicted mean vote comfort ranges. Furthermore, an experiment was performed using office equipment that incorporated the two control algorithms for HVAC systems, and the correlation between changes in the thermal environment within the office and the occupant's comfort levels was estimated via an actual survey. The results demonstrated that the proposed control method for HVAC systems, which considered the comfort ranges of temperature and humidity and the thermal adaptation capability, can efficiently maintain the occupant's comfort with lower energy usage compared with conventional HVAC systems. Thus, the use of the control method contributes to the reduction of total energy consumption in buildings with HVAC systems.

Performance analysis of particulate matter priority control algorithm for outdoor Air-Introduced ventilation Cleaner using prediction model

Growing concerns about health risks associated with poor indoor air quality, such as respiratory illnesses and allergies, highlight the need for improved management strategies. This study proposes a novel approach that combines an artificial neural network (ANN)-based indoor PM2.5 prediction model with a PM-priority control algorithm. This combined approach addresses the limitations of traditional methods by enabling proactive control measures based on predictive PM2.5 levels. With increased global attention to indoor air quality following the COVID-19 pandemic and the stringent 2021 WHO air quality guidelines, this research focuses on real-time management of PM2.5 and CO2 concentrations to maintain a healthy indoor environment. Two elementary school classrooms were equipped as living labs to analyze the performance of the developed system. The PM-priority control algorithm uses predictive data to dynamically regulate ventilation and air purification processes. Continuous retraining of the prediction model ensures adaptability to environmental changes by evaluating the algorithm's efficiency in real time. The findings demonstrate that maintaining PM2.5 levels within comfortable ranges and reducing energy consumption can enhance the sustainability of buildings and improve the health and productivity of occupants. This approach provides a scalable solution applicable to schools and potentially other public buildings, emphasizing the preventive value of enhancing occupant health and productivity.

Performance Validation of control algorithm Considering Independent Generator Torque control in PCS

This study designed and validated a power control algorithm tailored to the unique characteristics of a 100 kW wind turbine equipped with an independent generator torque control system within the Power Conversion System (PCS). Unlike conventional power control methods based on the Programmable Logic controller (PLC), the independent generator torque control in the PCS estimates the generator speed based on the voltage signal and performs the generator torque control without any interference from the PLC. The conventional power control algorithm in the PLC was modified so that the PLC could perform the power control by the blade pitch control only. Furthermore, a mode transition algorithm was designed to improve the shortcomings of the mode switch previously used for transitioning between the torque and pitch control modes. To verify the performance, a simulation environment similar to actual control conditions was established using a commercial analysis program, and dynamic simulations were conducted. Additionally, for the experimental validation, the proposed control algorithm was applied to a scaled wind turbine, and wind tunnel tests were performed. The results of the simulations and wind tunnel tests confirmed the operational performance of the PCS's torque control and the improved control transition logic. The proposed control algorithm could be specifically applied to medium-sized wind turbines employing a sensorless generator speed estimation method and independent generator torque control in the PCS.

An SEI³R information propagation control algorithm with structural hole and high influential infected nodes in social networks

Information propagation and control have great significance to manage public opinion in social networks. This paper aims to establish a novel information propagation model and the corresponding control algorithm to display the processes of information evolution, propagation and control. Considering high influential nodes and structural hole nodes highly influence the decision-making choices of public users' opinions in the information propagation process, the structural hole node discovery and score (SHNDS) algorithm and high influential node discovery and score (HINDS) algorithm are proposed, respectively. According to different node status for a social network, the network nodes are divided into susceptible (S), latent (E), ordinary influential infected (I-n), structural hole infected (I-s), high influential infected (I-h) and removed nodes (R). Then, combining with the SHNDS and HINDS algorithms, a new (SEIR)-R-3 information propagation model and the corresponding control algorithm are proposed. Experimental results show that when the high influential nodes are regarded as the initial information propagation nodes, the information propagates to all nodes of their communities which contained the initial information propagation nodes. The information propagation ranges are wider than SEIR and (SEIR)-R-2 models. When the structural hole nodes are taken as initial information propagation nodes, the information propagates to the entire networks. When the structural hole nodes and high influential nodes are both seen as the initial information propagation nodes, information propagation speeds and ranges are faster and wider than the former two cases, respectively. By controlling high influential nodes, structural hole nodes, and both of them, the numbers of nodes received the information are reduced in turn. These indicate that information control effects are gradually improved.

System intelligent control algorithm for antenna array pattern

This study explores the system intelligent control algorithm for antenna array pattern. On the basis of the characteristics of the system, the kinetic equations for front steering module to enable normal steering are established. Considering the influencing factors, such as uncertain parameters, unmodeled dynamics, and front wheel aligning torque, a fractional-order intelligent controller based on genetic algorithm (GA) optimization is designed to obtain robustness in required frequency domain for the system. The effects of integral, differential, and fitting orders on the intelligent controlling system are also revealed. The five parameters of fractional-order intelligent controller are determined by GA optimization, and the final intelligent controlling system is simulated. Results show the effectiveness of the improved intelligent controller in enhancing the performance of system robustness.

An ultimate peak load shaving control algorithm for optimal use of energy storage systems

Peak load shaving is one of the applications of energy storage systems (ESS) that will play a key role in the future of smart grid. Peak shaving is done to prevent the increase of network capacity to the amount of peak demand and also increase its reliability. Although the development of diverse ESS with high round-trip efficiency is very important and is considered a necessary condition for optimal peak load shaving, its sufficient condition is to follow an appropriate control algorithm. In this study, a new control algorithm called ultimate peak load shaving (UPLS) is developed for the optimal use of ESS for the peak shaving and valley filling purposes. The UPLS control algorithm is not only able to guarantee peak load shaving in any condition considering any load profile but also can ingeniously control ESS charging and discharging rates. This feature distinguishes it from other algorithms developed in the *** this study, first, the UPLS control algorithm was explained in detail. Then, by comparing it with two other common control algorithms, its four unique features were investigated. After that, by applying these three control algorithms on different hypothetical load demand profiles A, B, C, and D, these features were demonstrated. Through sensitivity analysis and changing the allowed range for ESS charging and discharging rates (other parameters are assumed constant), how to design the grid power, Pg(t) by the UPLS control algorithm is described. It was found that the mentioned parameters are completely under the control of this algorithm. The optimization results show that peak demand can be reduced by 28.12 % and 27.82 % for load profiles B and C, respectively and the ESS discharging rate is significantly reduced to 55.28 % and 77.93 %, respectively compared to their corresponding values in basic design.
