According to the characteristic of traffic stream at urban intersections in China, which is uneven, random and complicated, on the one hand, an autonomous optimization control algorithm for traffic signal based on single signal group was proposed in this paper. By this algorithm, the traffic stream can be controlled independently as the single unit, different combination of green signal can be formed flexibly according to different traffic demand, and the green time for each traffic stream was adjusted dynamically with the consideration of vehicle queue length in all directions of the intersection. On the other hand, based on the development of the open source interface of SUMO, the hardware in-loop simulation system connected to the traffic signal controller and microwave radar detector was established, the status data of the traffic signal and the traffic stream were obtained through the communication interface in real time, the result of autonomous optimization control algorithm was simulated and evaluated online. Finally, a full-day application test was carried out at actual intersection, the test result showed that, compared with the fixed phase actuated control scheme, the vehicle queue length and space occupancy were decreased more effectively by the algorithm proposed in this paper, which can further improve the traffic efficiency at intersection.

This paper describes a control algorithm for platooning and remaining the safety distance between vehicles. We also propose a control algorithm that enables when the vehicles to travel on the road in the intersection, to allow to the group formation the new platoon and control the separation distance. From the idea of unified energy management, this paper analyzed the composition and the energy saving ways of the cooling source in intelligent building, established the applicable chiller plant control algorithmic modules on the basis of the innovative control strategy of cooling on demand and the control module library. Study focused on the optimized control algorithms of the chilled water supply temperature set-point control according to the cooling request on demand, the chiller operating numbers and proper operating order and running cycle control, and the chilled water pump frequency conversion control according to the cooling request on demand. The feasibility and stability was tested and verified in the laboratory. The ideal effects were also achieved in a practical project in Ningxia Hui autonomous region, China. The results show that the system can be loaded/unloaded efficiently, and the fluctuation of water temperature at the chiller's outlet around the setpoint remains quite small, which reflect very good control precision and notable energy-saving effects.

Fuzzy control iterative algorithm for beam uniformity enhancement of gas laser through boundary layer flow is presented. The iterative process of the proposed algorithm is controlled by the fuzzy control theory. In each loop, the MSE and the TUI value are evaluated to fuzzily determine which one is relatively greater, leading to different approaches in the iteration. Computer simulation results proved the effectiveness of the proposed method. GerchbergSaxton algorithm, profile smoothing algorithm and fuzzy control iterative algorithm are applied to the diffractive optical element design for the correction of laser beam distorted by a Blausius boundary layer. Fuzzy control iterative algorithm leads to better result than Gerchberg-Saxton algorithm and profile smoothing algorithm. Both mean square error and top ununiformity index of the result obtained by fuzzy control iterative algorithm are rather low.

The paper proposed a new coordinated control framework and algorithm used for relieving traffic congestion in the scope of exit-ramp of the expressway and its downstream intersection. The queue of auxiliary convergence road is selected as monitoring variable in the coordinated control algorithm, and downstream intersection cycle, split and auxiliary road green time are calculated. The control variables small-step adjustment algorithm is presented. The throughput flow duration of exit-ramp by the coordinated control strategy decreases at least 10% than by the fixed control algorithm. Combined with road network delay data, the simulation results show the effectiveness of the coordinated control algorithm.

This paper presents the control and failsafe algorithm of the closed loop air suspension system on the basis of analyzing the air suspension system and understanding the vehicle dynamics. The control algorithm determines target heights from driving conditions and driver's commands and actuators including a compressor, two reversing valves, and four air spring valves to achieve the target heights. The failsafe algorithm determines the type of faults and enables appropriate failsafe actions depending on the type of faults. To verify suggested control and failsafe algorithm, the simulations and the vehicle tests are conducted.
