In the most industrial processes, weighing machines are designed to automatically fill one or more types of the containers with a predetermined weight of particulates raw material using a controller. The performance of the machine is closely related to the accuracy of measurement and speed of dynamic response, which are contradictory. For a gravimetric filling machine, a novel adaptive dynamic state prediction control (ADSPC) algorithm running in the controller is proposed in this paper to regulate conflicts. This algorithm will consider the weighing process as a finite state. State migration is depended on the resulting weight and current state. The resulting weight is determined by the weight of measurement and current state. Compared with normal algorithm and simple prediction algorithm separately under the same condition, the result indicated that the algorithm is effective and feasible.

Due to the increasing awareness of oil depletion and the growing appreciation for green technology, electric vehicles (EVs) are now a widespread form of vehicle transportation. Single-source EVs such as battery electric vehicles (BEVs) have the drawbacks of limited life cycles and self-discharge. This paper proposes a test bench model to evaluate the performance of a multi-source light electric vehicle (LEV) energy management system (EMS) to overcome the shortcomings of single-source EVs. The EMS model contains intelligent switching controller hardware that is designed and implemented to select the most efficient energy source. The circuit board contains a DC chopper that can drive any DC load and is connected to a dSPACE DS1104 digital signal processor (DSP) for real-time data acquisition. Experimental results validate that the multi-source powered LEV can achieve both the standard drive cycles regulations ECE-47 and ECE-15. To evaluate the power efficiency in the extended ECE-47 cycle, the multi-source LEV performs better than that of a single source vehicle, with approximately 6% power efficiency. Thus, this research demonstrates that the proposed EMS based multi-source EV could be a potential candidate for future vehicle applications.

With the worldwide popular of the stereoscopic film "Avatar", stereoscopic video has become the focus of the industry, and also greatly promoted the development of stereoscopic video shooting technology. On the market nowadays, the stereoscopic video shooting cradle head gets horizontal mostly through the manual setting of the independent knobs and the legs of the tripod by observing the change of the spirit level. If the tripod is not stable enough, the camera's position and angle will change. The paper is about the automatic adjustment of the stereoscopic video shooting cradle head. The tri-axis accelerometer installed on the shooting cradle head works as the collection module of position and attitude data. The collected signal will be transmitted through the A/D conversion module to 51 series single chip microcomputer (SCM) for real-time processing. The difference value of the current angle and horizontal angle will be inputted to PID, and then produce an adjustable of duty cycle, thus we can modify the horizontality of the cradle head. By compensating and correcting the deviation angle to achieve the automatic adjustment of the cradle head's horizontal, basically satisfy the requirements of stability, accurate, fast to control system.

Induction heating for domestic usage is quite popular and in some countries, it is a highly cost-sensitive product. A single IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) quasi resonant power stage is the most popular topology for this application. In this paper we explain method in which the topology works reliably irrespective of widely varying input voltage, open loop operation and inconsistent utensil material. A protection scheme involving both hardware and firmware has been discussed. The protection scheme comprises of an efficient control-algorithms and the IGBT behaves as an active self-clamp. An induction cooker/heater prototype of 1.8kW rating has been developed with the proposed protection scheme. The results reveal that the scheme proposed provides an enhanced protection to the IGBT and increases the end product reliability manifold while reducing warranty costs to the manufacturer.

Influence of mutual magnetic coupling of secondary windings of an excitation transformer on an interval of safety switching of a thyristor switch of TCPS is experimentally discovered and theoretically justified. Both the principle of operation and the motion-control system of a suspended robot for surface cleaning in silos are presented in this paper. The mechanical design is a reasonable compromise between basically contradictory factors in the design: the small entrance and the large surface of the confined space, and the suspension and the stabilization of the robot. The design consists of three main parts: a support unit, the cleaning robot and a cleaning mechanism. The latter two parts enter the silo in a folded form and, thereafter, the robot's arms are spread in order to achieve stability during the cleaning process. The vertical movement of the robot is achieved via sequential crawling motions. The control system is divided into two separate subsystems, the robot's control subsystem and a support-unit control subsystem, in order to facilitate different operational modes. The robot has three principle motion-control tasks: positioning the robot inside the silo, holding a vertical position during the cleaning process and a crawling movement. A scaled prototype of the robot has been implemented and tested to prove the concept, in order to make certain that the mechanical design suits the main functions of the robotic system, to realize the robot's design in an industrial version and to test it in a realistic environment.
