Interference signal control algorithm for mechatronics electrical control platform

The traditional interference signal control algorithm has the problem of poor control performance caused by the direct-expansion measurement and control signal sampling, this paper proposes a direct-expansion measurement and control interference signal control algorithm based on compression perception. The algorithm is based on the characteristics of direct-expansion measurement and control signal, constructs the corresponding sparse base, analyzes the normalized residuals and change rule of the direct-expansion measurement and control signal and interference signal under the sparse base, reconstructs the direct-expansion measurement and control signal through the sparse coefficient, and the adaptive control of the algorithm is realized by combining the normalized residual change rate. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively control the interference signal, the detection probability is higher, the error effect is excellent.

Formal probabilistic analysis of a surgical robot control algorithm with different virtual fixtures

Surgical robots are increasingly being used in operation theaters involving normal or laparoscopic surgeries. The working of these surgical robots is highly dependent on their control algorithms, which require very rigorous analysis to ensure their correct functionality due to the safety-critical nature of surgeries. Traditionally, safety of control algorithms is ensured by simulations, but they provide incomplete and approximate analysis results due to their inherent sampling-based nature. We propose to use probabilistic model checking, which is a formal verification method, for quantitative analysis, to verify the control algorithms of surgical robots in this paper. As an illustrative example, the paper provides a formal analysis of a virtual fixture control algorithm, implemented in a neuro-surgical robot, using the PRISM model checker. In particular, we provide a formal discrete-time Markov chain-based model of the given control algorithm and its environment. This formal model is then analyzed for multiple virtual fixtures, like cubic, hexagonal and irregular shapes. This verification allowed us to discover new insights about the considered algorithm that allow us to design safer control algorithms.

Exhaust Emissions of an Engine Fuelled by Petrol and Liquefied Petroleum Gas with control algorithm Adjustment

It has been shown that appropriate regulation of parameters of the gas supply system control algorithm allows to reduce the emission of selected components of the exhaust gas (carbon monoxide [CO], hydrocarbon [HC], and oxides of nitrogen [NOx]). The test engine met the Euro 6 standard on petrol and was equipped with an additional alternative multipoint fuelling system for multipoint injection (MPI) of the gaseous phase liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The tests are comparative in nature. The first test to compare LPG petrol fuelling was carried out in the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) where small differences in emissions were shown. The second part of the test compared emissions in the Worldwide harmonized Light vehicles Test Cycle ( WLTC), wherein the initial phase there was a significant difference in emissions to the detriment of the gas supply. An innovative approach was therefore proposed to correct settings in the gas system control algorithm. In the first option, the settings for the multiplier of the opening time of LPG and petrol injectors were adjusted, resulting in a decrease in HC and NOx emissions with an increase in CO. In the second variant, the connection between the reducer and the engine intake manifold was removed, which increased the HC and NOx emissions, with a decrease in CO compared to the previous variant. In the third variant, the connection between the reducer and the engine intake manifold was restored and several coolant temperature threshold adjustments were made when switching from petrol to LPG. As a result of the corrections made in the gas system control algorithm during WLTC implementation, HC emissions were lower by 10.2%, CO by 21.2%, and NOx by 68.2% compared to the initial test.

HDAC High-Dimensional Data Aggregation control algorithm for Big Data in Wireless Sensor Networks

The process of high-dimensional data is a hot research area in data mining technology. Due to sparsity of the high-dimensional data, there is significant difference between the high-dimensional space and the low-dimensional space, especially in terms of the data process. Many sophisticated algorithms of low-dimensional space cannot achieve the expected effect, even cannot be used in the high-dimensional space. Thus, this paper proposes a High-dimensional Data Aggregation control algorithm for Big Data (HDAC). The algorithm uses information to eliminate the dimension not matching with the specified requirements. Then it uses the principal components method to analyze the rest dimension. Thus, the simplest method is used to reduce the calculation of dimensionality reduction as can as it possible. In the process of data aggregation, the self-adaptive data aggregation mechanism is used to reduce the phenomenon of network delay. Finally, the simulation shows that the algorithm can improve the performance of node energy-consumption, rate of the data post-back and the data delay.

Optimal control algorithm of fertigation system in greenhouse based on EC model

Two new control algorithms based on MSP430 microcontroller unit(MCU)were developed to improve the performance of a fertigation system controlled by the electrical conductivity(EC)value of an irrigation nutrient solution in a *** first algorithm is incremental proportional-integral-derivative(PID),and the second one is a two-stage combination algorithm(PID+fuzzy).With an improved multi-line mixing Venturi tube,several sets of experiments were conducted for a fertilizer absorption test under two conditions,namely,various suction lines and different EC target values *** the first condition,with an EC target value of 2.0 mS/cm and opening of various suction pipes,the steady-state times are 186 s,172 s,134 s,and 122 s corresponding to the opening of one to four suction pipes,respectively,for PID+fuzzy *** corresponding values are 220 s,196 s,158 s,and 148 s for incremental PID *** the second condition,four suction pipes are opened with different target EC values of 1.5 mS/cm,2.0 mS/cm,and 2.5 mS/cm,and the shortest response time and the minimum overshoot were obtained for PID+fuzzy control when the target EC value is 1.5 mS/cm,which are 96 s and 0.18 mS/cm,*** the corresponding values are 112 s and 0.4 mS/cm,respectively for incremental PID *** two control strategies can adjust the EC value to the target value for real-time control,but the combination control algorithm can be implemented more rapidly,accurately,and steadily with a small overshoot compared with incremental PID *** combination algorithm(PID+fuzzy)control strategy also possesses better properties for automatic fertigation control in greenhouses than the incremental PID control strategy,the combination algorithm provides an optimal way of water and fertilizer management for crops in greenhouses which will contribute to water and fertilizer saving.

A study on the dynamic analysis and control algorithm for a motor driven power steering system

The power steering system for vehicles is becoming essential for supporting the steering efforts of the drivers, especially for the parking lot maneuver. Although hydraulic power steering has been widely used for years, its efficiency is not high enough. The problems associated with a hydraulic power steering system can be solved by a motor driven power steering (MDPS) system. In this study, a dynamic model and a control algorithm for the ball screw type of MDPS system have been derived and analyzed by using the method of discrete modeling technology. To improve steering feel and power steering characteristics, two derivative gains are added to the conventional power boosting control algorithm. Through simulations, the effects of the control gain on the steering angle gain were verified in the frequency domain. The steering returnability and steering torque phase lag in on-center handling test were also evaluated in the time domain.

A compound control algorithm is supposed to a robot joint actuated by McKibben muscles, which combines both CMAC control and PID control. The CMAC feedforward compensator realizes the joint system's dynamic model. The PID controller realizes the feedback control in order to guarantee the system's stability. The compound controller's output takes control of the system's actions. By the CMAC learning process, the PID output tends to zero, and the final controlled action is directed by the CMAC controller. Digital simulation results prove that this compound control algorithm has the very high tracking capacity, interference immunity, and quick system response.

A new structure of three degree-of-freedom (3-DOF) spherical motor is presented. The magnetic field of the spherical motor is analyzed by equivalence current method. The torque model of the spherical motor is built according to the interaction of one permanent magnetic (PM) with one electromagnet (EM) derived by Lorentz force method (LFM). The motion singularity is analyzed and the condition number shows that the spherical motor is far away from singularity in workspace. Combined with nonlinear dynamic model and PD control algorithm, simulation of the desired motion is carried out. The simulation results provide reference for motion control research and spherical motor design.

Our goal in this study is to develop the supervisory control strategy for a hybrid bus system, which is able to control the power distribution between an engine and an electric motor more efficiently, because the fuel economy of hybrid system could change depending on the supervisory control of hybrid control unit. In case of the bus transporting system, there is some information that can be used to optimize the fuel economy on a supervisory controller like altitude, vehicle speed and set routes recorded from a GPS receiver. In this paper, we present the supervisory control algorithm for the parallel hybrid bus, which is using the Power Split Ratio (PSR) between two power sources. The PSR line can be derived from the analysis results of Dynamic Programming theory that is one of the optimal control concepts. The fuel economy saving results shows that the parallel hybrid bus can save its fuel consumption about 15-40% compared with the conventional bus system.
