A new structure of three degree-of-freedom (3-DOF) spherical motor is presented. The magnetic field of the spherical motor is analyzed by equivalence current method. The torque model of the spherical motor is built according to the interaction of one permanent magnetic (PM) with one electromagnet (EM) derived by Lorentz force method (LFM). The motion singularity is analyzed and the condition number shows that the spherical motor is far away from singularity in workspace. Combined with nonlinear dynamic model and PD control algorithm, simulation of the desired motion is carried out. The simulation results provide reference for motion control research and spherical motor design.

Our goal in this study is to develop the supervisory control strategy for a hybrid bus system, which is able to control the power distribution between an engine and an electric motor more efficiently, because the fuel economy of hybrid system could change depending on the supervisory control of hybrid control unit. In case of the bus transporting system, there is some information that can be used to optimize the fuel economy on a supervisory controller like altitude, vehicle speed and set routes recorded from a GPS receiver. In this paper, we present the supervisory control algorithm for the parallel hybrid bus, which is using the Power Split Ratio (PSR) between two power sources. The PSR line can be derived from the analysis results of Dynamic Programming theory that is one of the optimal control concepts. The fuel economy saving results shows that the parallel hybrid bus can save its fuel consumption about 15-40% compared with the conventional bus system.

This paper presents a control algorithm, based on consumer-generated voltage imbalance assessment, for a distribution static synchronous compensator (DSTATCOM). The proposed algorithm quantifies, in the timedomain, the parcels of voltage unbalance due to the supplier (utility) and consumer using measurements of the instantaneous voltages and currents at the point of common coupling. Small-signals models are derived and used to design the controllers for the DSTATCOM in order to compensate for the negative and zero sequence voltages caused by the consumer. These controllers are designed in the synchronous reference frame, with two inner current loops and two outer voltage loops for each compensated sequence, to ensure the DSTATCOM tracks the reference voltages generated by the unbalance assessment algorithm. Digital simulation results obtained with an unbalanced distribution network are used to validate the proposed methodology. Through the comparison of the results obtained with and without the proposed unbalance assessment algorithm it is possible to conclude that the capacity of the compensator can be significantly reduced when only the unbalanced voltage parcel caused by the load is compensated.

Minimally invasive surgery is commonly applied in cardiovascular diseases at present while surgeons exposed in the X-ray. With the development of automation and mechanism in robotic system, robot-assisted surgery had been introduced to solve such trouble. And minimally invasive surgical robotic technology has developed rapidly. In this paper, we propose a remote-control algorithm based on a fuzzy adaptive PID control algorithm in MI S robotic system to realize the demand for remedy in remote districts. Meanwhile, such hybrid algorithm is proposed to reduce the environmental interference and remove the effect of time-delay in signal transmission of remote operations. The results of simulation and experiments validate that such algorithm actually suppresses the interference of low frequency and improves the tracking per formance of the master-slave system.

In this paper, a novel control algorithm for near-infrared spectra detection system based on grating light modulators is proposed. Firstly, the principle of this novel control algorithm is analyzed theoretically, and the encoding and decoding process of two scanning modes based on the control algorithm are obtained. Secondly, the numerical simulation is carried out to evaluate the effect of this control algorithm on the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) of the spectra detection system. The difference between the SNR of the system under different scanning modes is acquired. When the number of pixels M in a unit becomes larger, the stage number of driven voltages is smaller. In the end, related experiments have been set up, and the feasibility of the control algorithm is validated. By using the novel control algorithm, the detected spectrum of 1340nm narrow band filter could be reconstructed well and the deviations of the peak wavelengths under both scanning modes based on this algorithm are less than mm. Furthermore, the novel Hadamard transforms scanning mode based on this control algorithm could not only decrease the complexity of the control circuit but also increase the SNR of the spectra detection system.

A brake pad wear control algorithm used under uncritical braking conditions is proposed to reduce the difference in brake pad wear between the front and rear axles caused by the difference in braking force and the type of brake. The algorithm regulates the distribution of braking force within the limits of certain braking regulations according to the wear conditions of the brake pads while deceleration control still functions properly. Computer co-simulations of braking with Trucksim and Matlab/Simulink was performed in which vehicle models with equal brake pad wear, greater wear on the front axle and greater wear on the rear axle were used. The results show that the difference in brake pad wear between the front and rear axles can be reduced by distributing the braking force according to the wear conditions of the brakes when braking uncritically to reduce the time and cost needed in repair and maintenance.

The world is currently facing a very serious energy crisis, how to save energy and improve energy utilization is an important issue to all countries. Lighting power consumption occupies a large proportion of people's electricity consumption, and most of the existing lighting control strategies are based on the activities of people or time scenes, ignoring the influence of natural light. In this paper, in order to make full use of natural light, we propose a real-time control algorithm of intelligent energy-saving lights. When natural light exists, the strategy calculates the level of light brightness at that moment through an algorithm and adjusts the brightness level of luminaire. This method saves energy by reducing the luminaire brightness level while meeting people's needs for work surface illumination. The simulation results indicated that our real-time lighting control algorithm has better energy saving effect compared with the traditional lighting control strategy.

In order to reduce the dependability of micro grids on main grid an efficient energy management algorithm has been presented. The proposed algorithm schedules the non-critical loads present in the micro grid using A.C Electric springs and the simulation studies are performed in MATLAB. The reduction in energy consumption from the main grid is achieved by making the non-critical loads consume lesser power during generation intermittence in the micro grid.

Studying on PID control algorithm and through the analysis of the control parameter of scalar part, integration part and derivation part, the author investigates systematically on the motion control system of the intelligent robots in small storage and logistics, and presents an improved PID control algorithm. The improved PID control algorithm not only maintains the merits of the original one, but also simplifies the multifarious adjustment process of the control parameters of scalar part, integration part and derivation part. The improved algorithm turns out to be effective after the simulation and verification by the MATLAB and can be applied and promoted to other practical controls field.
