The energy required to overcome the inertia moment of the electric motor, especially during rapidmovements of electric vehicles, brings about uneven current characteristics on lithium-ion batteries. This situation can have negative effects on the driving range, performance, and battery state of health value of the vehicle. Therefore, energy management strategies in electric vehicles play a critical role in overcoming these challenges and optimizing the system. Energy management strategies in electric vehicles are planned approaches developed to optimize battery usage. These strategies regulate the energy flow to improve vehicle performance and optimize range based on factors such as driver demands, road conditions, and energy consumption. To regulate these flows, energy management strategies operate under the dominance of specific control algorithms. Many articles in the literature focus on these control theories, with particular emphasis on fuzzy logic-based control methods due to their flexibility and diversity in structures. The aim of this study is to comprehensively understand fuzzy logic-based control algorithms and examine their role in energy management strategies in electric vehicles from a broad perspective. Due to increase in gas transportation scopes, the requirements for gas pressure regulators, such as accuracy, speed, transition time, etc., are also increasing. This article suggests ways to solve the problem of gas pressure regulation accuracy increase by using new discrete pressure regulators. In this connection, various control algorithms for discrete gas pressure regulators, transients occurring during flow throttling are considered. The analysis of the existing analog and digital controllers showed that there's a need to create a controller that combines the advantages of a discrete and analog controller both. The article suggests ways to improve gas pressure control systems in natural gas transportation facilities by developing a mathematical model of a discrete pressure regulator for the main gas pipeline, working according to the pressure value with a predetermined transition from one mode to another.

The flexibility of electric heating devices coupled with thermal storage can help to cope with the increasing share of volatile renewable energy sources in the electricity grid. Scheduling-based demand response approaches for optimally exploiting these flexibilities use demand and generation predictions to calculate an operative schedule of the heating devices. Due to deviations between predicted and real energy profiles, additional uncertainty handling methods are essential which adjust the actions imposed by the schedule to the current situation. In this paper, we introduce corrective control algorithms for buildings in smart grids with modulating heating devices that can compensate the uncertainties of predictions. The results show that our developed approaches avoid violations of the inhabitants' comfort limits and decrease the surplus energy (and thus increase the self-consumption rate) of photovoltaic systems compared to a conventional control strategy. Further, our analysis reveals that uncertainties affect the load shifting potentials of electric heating devices and lead to increased surplus energy.
