Traffic safety is a characteristic feature of road transport systems. Road traffic safety is regarded as a difficult challenge which requires a system approach to the management of the road traffic system and its functional features like variability of the structure of the street and road network and its technical condition, complexity of the hierarchical structure of road transport systems and technologies exploited in them. The research resulted in a model of functioning of automated traffic enforcement facilities and identified the factors which affect the effective functioning of automated traffic enforcement facilities which were used to develop the dependencies regarding the number of accidents to evaluate the effectiveness of traffic enforcement cameras.

There is no sector of the economy that is not dependent on the state of development of the energy sector. This sector produces a significant share of global CO2 emissions. Harmful CO2 emissions and greenhouse gas emissions accelerate global warming. Therefore, more and more countries are adopting a strategy for the transition to carbon-neutral energy. However, energy independence and economic competitiveness are closely linked. One cannot analyze them separately. Given these facts, we focused on conducting an econometric study of the impact of key macroeconomic indicators on the level of CO2 emissions into the air in the United States and the Asia-Pacific region as the regions with the largest CO2 emissions. The modeling was carried out using the method of a correlation-regressionanalysis with the subsequent construction of econometric models. The quality of the built econometric models was checked using the coefficient of determination and Fisher's criterion. The sample of statistics was formed from all the available values of the World Bank's annual indicators for the period 1970-2020. The findings achieved showed that: (i) The results of our study confirmed the dependence of CO2 emissions on macroeconomic factors such as GDP, exports and imports, the rate of inflation, and unemployment. It allows the governments of many countries to use research findings to diagnose, monitor, and forecast macroeconomic outcomes to reduce or maintain allowable CO2 emissions. (ii) Identifying and assessing economic losses from environmental pollution by CO2 emissions using econometric models will allow to ensure effective public environmental and economic policies aimed at reducing harmful CO2 emissions into the air. It may be regarded as the practical importance of our study.

One of the primary forestry research interests lies in estimating forest stand parameters by applying empirical or semi-empirical model to establish the relationship between the forest stand parameters and remote sensing data. Using remote sensing image and the inventory data from 2 compartments in northeast Florida, U.S.A., this paper explored the correlation between forest stand parameters and Landsat TM spectral digital number (DN) value. Results showed that less than 50% of the total variance could be explained by linear regression models with only either a single band or such vegetation indices as vegetation index (VI) or normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) as predicators. In consequence, multi-linear regression models which synthesized more predicators were introduced to estimate forest parameters. regression results were tested in terms of the other group of data, and verification showed a better capability of explaining over 75% variance except for forest density. The weakness and further improvement of prediction models were also discussed in the article. This paper is expected to provide a better understanding of the relationship between TM spectral and forest characteristics

Boulders pose substantial challenges in coastal urban tunnel engineering. This study, for the first time, utilizes extensive closely spaced borehole data from 3486 drilling points obtained during actual tunnelling through boulder strata to evaluate the effectiveness of microtremor detection, analyze variations in operational parameters, and assess the efficiency of blasting treatment. Additionally, leveraging borehole data, a 3D reconstruction of the soil-boulder-bedrock stratum was developed, and the stratum content ratio at the excavation face was derived. A multivariate linear regression model was established to explore the relationship between boulder geology and construction parameters. The results demonstrated that microtremor surveys effectively identified boulder distributions by analyzing horizontal-to-vertical spectral ratio curves and differences in surface wave phase velocity. Field drilling confirmed the high accuracy of microtremor predictions, particularly in areas with dense or thick boulder layers. Post-blasting secondary drilling revealed boulder fragments smaller than 30 cm, meeting the operational requirements for shield cutter and crusher systems. The presence of boulders was found to increase thrust, torque, and overturning moments, as well as cause abnormal cutter wear. Blasting significantly reduced the standard deviation of operational data, demonstrating its effectiveness in stabilizing tunnelling performance. regressionanalysis showed a strong correlation between geological conditions and tunnelling parameters, with results indicating that blasting operations effectively mitigate the adverse impacts of boulders on shield tunnelling performance. This study aims to provide valuable insights and references for future engineering projects encountering similar complex geological conditions.

Significant progress in development of noninvasive diagnostic tools based on breath analysis can be expected if one employs a real-time detection method based on finding a spectral breath profile which would contain some energy characteristics of the analyzed gas mixture. Using the fundamental energy parameters of a quantum system, it is possible to determine with a high accuracy its quantitative and qualitative composition. Among the most efficient tools to measure energy characteristics of quantum systems are sensors based on Yanson point contacts. This paper reports the results of serotonin and melatonin detection as an example of testing the human hormonal background with point-contact sensors, which have already demonstrated their high efficiency in detecting carcinogenic strains of Helicobacter pylori and selective detection of complex gas mixtures. When comparing the values of serotonin and melatonin with the characteristic parameters of the spectral profile of the exhaled breath of each patient, high correlation dependences of the concentration of serotonin and melatonin with a number of characteristic parameters of the response curve of the point-contact sensor were found. The performed correlationanalysis was complemented with the regressionanalysis. As a result, empiric regression relations were proposed to realize in practice the new non-invasive breath test for evaluation of the human hormonal background. Registration of the patient's breath profile using point-contact sensors makes it possible to easily monitor the dynamics of changes in the human hormonal background and perform a quantitative evaluation of serotonin and melatonin levels in the human body in real time without invasive interventions (blood collection) and expensive equipment or reagents.

The classification of the natural and anthropogenic destabilizing factors of a telecommunications network as a complex system is presented herein. This research shows that to evaluate the parameters of a telecommunications network in the presence of destabilizing factors, it is necessary to modify classical linear methods to reduce their sensitivity to the incompleteness of a priori information. Using generalized linear models of multiple regression, a combined method was developed for assessing and predicting the survivability of a telecommunications network under conditions of uncertainty regarding the influence of destabilizing factors. The method consists of accumulating current information about the parameters and state of the network, the statistical analysis and processing of information, and the extraction of sufficient sample statistics. The basis of the developed method was balancing multiple correlation-regressionanalysis with the number of regression equations and the observed results. Various methods of estimating the mathematical expectation and correlation matrix of the observed results under the conditions of random loss of part of the observed data (for example, removing incomplete sample elements, substituting the average, pairwise crossing out, and substituting the regression) were analyzed. It was established that a shift in the obtained estimates takes place under the conditions of a priori uncertainty of the statistics of the observed data. Given these circumstances, recommendations are given for the correct removal of sample elements and variables with missing values. It is shown that with significant unsteadiness of the parameters and state of the network under study and a noticeable imbalance in the number of regression equations and observed results, it is advisable to use stepwise regression methods.

The purposes of this article are to present the design of an evaluation frame about CDIO engineering capability maturity for engineering students and the index system of evaluation, and then put it into practice for the professional of "Software Engineering" in three colleges of Engineering. In addition to theoretical studies, that is to say,the article expatiates on the statistic and analysis of quantity, which is the maturity of various core competencies about CDIO engineering capability. It involved in following several studies: First, drawing multi-graphs about the longitudinal trends of themselves, and then analyzed it;Second,by correlationanalysis find the degree of the relation relationship between the various variables;Third,In the process of regressionanalysis select an variable, which is closely related with the maturity of CDIO capability,it deduce regression formula by method of least squares, and then predict the regular of dependent variable with independent variables. Analyses of qualitative data showed that CDIO maturity evaluation can scientifically predict the trends of CDIO capability and moderately regulate the CDIO process.
