data-driven method has shown many advantages over experience- and mechanism-based approaches in optimizing production. In this paper, we propose an AI-driven automatic data analysis system. The system is developed for small and medium-sized industrial enterprises who are lack of expertise on data analysis. To achieve this goal, we design a structural and understandable task description language for problem modeling, propose an supervised learning method for algorithm selecting and implement a random search algorithm for hyper-parameter optimization, which makes our system highly-automated and generic. We choose R language as the algorithm engine due to its powerful analysis performance. The system reliability is ensured by an interactive analysis mechanism. Examples show how our system can apply to representative analysis tasks in manufactory.

The behavior analysis of animal has a key role in biology and robotics. In this paper, we choose the rat as analysis object. For understanding and grasping the behavior of rat, we set up an automatic motion tracking and data analysis system for a rat. This system includes three subsystems: inertial data acquisition, image tracking and real-time data analysis. The inertial subsystem uses one CC2530 development board and one small modular development board which integrates MPU6050 and electrical stimulator, and the inertial data collected by MPU6050 and the controls parameter sent by experimenter communicate by Zig-Bee wireless transmission module to realize the two-way transmission. The image tracking subsystem recognizes and tracks the rat by the camera. Besides, the inertial data and image tracking are time-synchronized. Finally, we program a data analysis interface by Matlab to conduct real-time data analysis. According to the tests, the automatic motion tracking and data analysis system can recognize the rat with a successful rate of 97%, combined with the inertial data. At the same time, we can conduct the real-time data analysis to simulate the attitude of the rat in the interface.

In this work, an optimized computer controlled electrochemical cell were designed and constructed. This Electrolytic cell was used for etching latent ion tracks and electrochemical deposition of wires in pores of etched-ion tracks foils. The applied voltage and current through the electrochemical cell during the etching and electrodeposition were measured and monitored in real time by a data analysis system. Monitoring the current time curve during the filling of pores and growth of micro and nano wires allows one to stop the deposition process after a given time to obtain nano-and micro wire of a predefined length. In this work, Design and manufacture of a sealed electrochemical cell was done in a manner that one can change distance between electrodes and geometry of cathodes. data analysis system was used to measuring and monitoring of applied voltage and current through the cell consists of three parts: Amplifier, data acquisition (DAQ) system and Software. A current amplifier that used in data analysis system is a log ratio amplifier. A log ratio amplifier provides an output voltage proportional to the log base 10 of the ratio input current I-1 (current during the electrodeposition of wire in cell) and Input current I-2(flexible current of precision current source). A DAQ reading output voltage of amplifier and send to Computer. With lab view software analyzed the voltage and converted to the current corresponding to the electrodeposition of wires. Current amplifier designed and built in this work is a noise suppression that can measure small current through the cell with high accuracy. Advantage of proposed log ratio amplifier is one can used this amplifier for measuring and monitoring of current during the filling of pores and growth of wires in the etched ion track foils with various track density. A data analysis system for Industrial and Enterprise Greenhouse Gas Emission, for meeting the needs of the giant energy-consuming enterprises has been set up through a series of studies on the verification method of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) in industries such as cement, thermal power, cogeneration, transport, sewage treatment etc. The analysis system consists of six modules: Organization Structure;Facility;Activity data Input;Emission data analysis;Report Generation;Parameters Configuration. The calculation process is based both on the Emission Factor Method and the Materials Balance Method;the first method performs an easy calculation for the GHG emissions released from the fuel combustion, electricity or steam consumption, general business and office activities;the last one provides a specialized calculation for the professional production processes such as cement production, exhaust desulfurization and sewage treatment etc. In order to test the system, it has been used as an example the GHG emission of a thermal boiler.

Monitoring a large and geographically dispersed solar generation fleet can be a challenging undertaking. At Dominion Energy, there is currently over 1.7 GW of transmission and distribution-connected solar generation. Performing the post-mortem analysis and ensuring the safe and reliable operation on more than 100 solar facilities can take substantial engineering efforts. In this study, a renewable generation data collection platform is presented to address the increasing need for solar generation monitoring. The data platform consists of data collection, event storage, real-time alerts, and data analytics applications. The data analysis system can support various technical aspects in solar integration, including grounding monitoring, inverter fault response and model validation, power quality monitoring, and equipment overvoltage protection. The proposed data platform greatly improves the visibility of solar generation and ensures its successful integration.

Technological paradigm-based approaches towards challenges and policy shifts for sustainable wind energy development

Wind energy has gained significant support to be one of the primary sources of near-zero-emission energy systems. Based on the technological paradigm theory and employing a novel data analysis system (DAS), this paper provides an overview of wind energy technological developments. With key energy law and policy decisions highlighted, the visualization process clearly identified the three technological paradigmatic stages;competition, diffusion and shift;from which it is found that wind-based hybrid energy systems appear to give better promising trajectory in the future than wind energy technologies that rely only on onshore or offshore winds. However, with market maturation, the challenges associated with increasing share, energy storage, motivational conflicts, demand responses and optimal scheduling emerge and are expected to be resolved. From the paradigm shift investigation, a comprehensive sustainable framework for a six-stage hybrid wind-photovoltaic energy system is proposed. Recommendations on policy shifts to encourage technological innovation, regional differentiation, improve monitoring & evaluation systems and the implementation of smart grid are also given to address the incentives that need to be provided.

A novel paradigm-oriented approach towards NG-RE hybrid power generation

In the face of climate change and possible future energy shortages, the installed capacity of clean energy natural gas (NG) and renewable energy (RE) for power generation has gradually increased. However, in the traditional electricity market, there is significant competition between NG and RE as gas prices tend to be volatile, and RE power generation from wind and solar can be intermittent and somewhat unreliable, indicating that these power sources have some drawbacks if used to independently generate electricity;therefore, determining the balance of NG and RE to ensure are resilient, reliable, flexible and affordable power generation system is an important goal. Based on the data analysis system (DAS) combined with paradigm theory, this paper examines the possibility of hybrid power generation in the future. The results of literature analysis visualization show that NG or RE has its own power generation paradigm, and a paradigm shift towards hybrid NG-RE power generation was found, so NG-RE power generation paradigm (NGREP) was proposed. To determine whether these NG-RE hybrid energy developments could be more competitive than separate developments, a comparative analysis was conducted, from which it was found that hybrid NG-RE systems are more attractive in some cases. However, as there are still challenges in the developments of these systems, a driving force is needed to promote further hybrid developments. Using hybrid power generation in areas with plentiful wind, solar and gas can maximize energy use efficiency and significantly reduce carbon emissions and other pollutants. (C) 2017 Elsevier Ltd.
