The Prototype of Marine data integration system Based on J2EE

Aiming at the heterogeneity of data sources in marine disciplines, this article uses XML technology for integration to achieve a unified representation of marine data. At the same time, it is supported by J2EE technology to propose and implement a multi-layer B/S architecture for marine XML data integration. The system prototype uses the scalable vector graphics (SVG) technology, an emerging XML technology, to realize the interaction of ocean data based on XML and provide support for ocean informatization.

In order to improve the management ability of multimedia tennis video teaching data in colleges and universities under cloud computing, the optimization design of college multimedia tennis video teaching data integration system is carried out. Big data processing technology is used to optimize the scheduling and management of multimedia tennis video teaching data in colleges and universities under cloud computing, and a data management model of college multimedia tennis video teaching is constructed. Extracting metadata of college multimedia tennis video teaching data under cloud computing, using semantic feature extraction method to extract multimedia tennis video teaching data information feature extraction, The fuzzy correlation degree characteristics of multimedia tennis video teaching data metadata in cloud computing environment is calculated, and combines fuzzy clustering method to deal with multimedia tennis video teaching data information clustering in colleges and universities under cloud computing. Improve the multimedia tennis video teaching data extended query and parallel scheduling ability. Develop and design the multimedia tennis video teaching data integration system in the embedded mobile terminal. The simulation results show that this method is used to design the multimedia tennis video teaching data integration system under cloud computing, which improves the information management ability of the multimedia tennis video teaching data, and the balance of resource scheduling is good, the teaching quality is improved.

In order to solve the problem that the current campus data integration system is not effective in processing local heterogeneous data, the data integration system of digital campus platform based on XML is optimized. By optimizing the hardware configuration, perfecting the data converter structure in the system, perfecting the characteristic conversion and integration process of heterogeneous data, calculating the standard parameters of heterogeneous data characteristic conversion combined with the scheduling algorithm, normalizing the heterogeneous data according to the standard parameters, and carrying out efficient data integration in the data converter after completing the normalization process combined with the optimized heterogeneous data characteristic conversion and integration process, so as to complete the design goal of the data integration system based on the XML digital campus platform. Finally, the experiment proves that compared with the traditional data integration system, the data integration rate of the XML - based digital campus platform data integration system for heterogeneous data has increased by more than 20%, and the processing effect has improved significantly compared with the traditional data integration system.

Open environment allows agents to associate and/or dissociate with the environment without affecting the overall functionality of the system. There are several challenges to modeling data integration systems (DIS) in open environment. This is because of the distributed, dynamic, heterogeneous, and loosely coupled nature of open environment. It is also important to note that information systems are intensional in nature. This is because the belief of an agent and the knowledge of an information system are intensional contexts. Open environments are also intensional in nature. This is because, the dynamic nature of open environment imposes no constrains on the set of participating agents or the number information systems plugged into the system. We propose the use of Mediated P2P architecture for the architecture of data integration systems in open environment. The DIS is formulated using Intensional Epistemic Logic (IEL). We also present an interface and query answering semantics that are based on the IEL. The proposed model accounts for the intensional, distributed, dynamic, and loosely-coupled characteristics of open environment.

In digital library federation, a challenge is how to exchange and share information on heterogeneous digital libraries. The mediator-based approach of data integration provide a uniform view by creating the semantic relationship between sources and mediated schema. Since automatic matching produce probabilities, it's necessary to take the probability of mappings into consideration. Further more, for tuples' probabilities arise as an additional ranking dimension, both tuple probabilities and scores be factored in the interpretation of top-k queries in probabilistic databases. In this paper, after proposing a architecture of data integration for DLF, we demonstrate the probabilities for the schema mappings and query answerings. Then, having discussed the opt_U-kRank algorithm, we describe the revised_U-kRank algorithm which may improve the efficiency of execution. Finally, based on the experiment results of two U-kRank algorithms, we discuss the effect of probabilities distribution on executions.

Background: Amines are biogenic amino acid derivatives, which play pleiotropic and very important yet complex roles in animal physiology. For many other relevant biomolecules, biochemical and molecular data are being accumulated, which need to be integrated in order to be effective in the advance of biological knowledge in the field. For this purpose, a multidisciplinary group has started an ontology-based system named the Amine system Project (ASP) for which amine-related information is the validation bench. Results: In this paper, we describe the Ontology-Based Mediator developed in the Amine system Project (http://***) using the infrastructure of Semantic Directories, and how this system has been used to solve a case related to amine metabolism-related protein structures. Conclusions: This infrastructure is used to publish and manage not only ontologies and their relationships, but also metadata relating to the resources committed with the ontologies. Transparent mediation-based access to multiple yeast data sources using an ontology driven interface

Background: Saccharomyces cerevisiae is recognized as a model system representing a simple eukaryote whose genome can be easily manipulated. Information solicited by scientists on its biological entities (Proteins, Genes, RNAs...) is scattered within several data sources like SGD, Yeastract, CYGD-MIPS, BioGrid, PhosphoGrid, etc. Because of the heterogeneity of these sources, querying them separately and then manually combining the returned results is a complex and time-consuming task for biologists most of whom are not bioinformatics expert. It also reduces and limits the use that can be made on the available data. Results: To provide transparent and simultaneous access to yeast sources, we have developed YeastMed: an XML and mediator-based system. In this paper, we present our approach in developing this system which takes advantage of SB-KOM to perform the query transformation needed and a set of data Services to reach the integrated data sources. The system is composed of a set of modules that depend heavily on XML and Semantic Web technologies. User queries are expressed in terms of a domain ontology through a simple form-based web interface. Conclusions: YeastMed is the first mediation-based system specific for integrating yeast data sources. It was conceived mainly to help biologists to find simultaneously relevant data from multiple data sources. It has a biologist-friendly interface easy to use. Online Ordering of Overlapping data Sources

data integration systems offer a uniform interface for querying a large number of autonomous and heterogeneous data sources. Ideally, answers are returned as sources are queried and the answer list is updated as more answers arrive. Choosing a good ordering in which the sources are queried is critical for increasing the rate at which answers are returned. However, this problem is challenging since we often do not have complete or precise statistics of the sources, such as their coverage and overlap. It is further exacerbated in the Big data era, which is witnessing two trends in Deep-Web data: first, obtaining a full coverage of data in a particular domain often requires extracting data from thousands of sources;second, there is often a big variation in overlap between different data sources. In this paper we present OASIS, an Online query Answering system for overlappIng Sources. OASIS has three key components for source ordering. First, the Overlap Estimation component estimates overlaps between sources according to available statistics under the Maximum Entropy principle. Second, the Source Ordering component orders the sources according to the new contribution they are expected to provide, and adjusts the ordering based on statistics collected during query answering. Third, the Statistics Enrichment component selects critical missing statistics to enrich at runtime. Experimental results on both real and synthetic data show high efficiency and scalability of our algorithm.

TPC-DI: The First Industry Benchmark for data integration

Historically, the process of synchronizing a decision support system with data from operational systems has been referred to as Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) and the tools supporting such process have been referred to as ETL tools. Recently, ETL was replaced by the more comprehensive acronym, data integration (DI). DI describes the process of extracting and combining data from a variety of data source formats, transforming that data into a unified data model representation and loading it into a data store. This is done in the context of a variety of scenarios, such as data acquisition for business intelligence, analytics and data warehousing, but also synchronization of data between operational applications, data migrations and conversions, master data management, enterprise data sharing and delivery of data services in a service-oriented architecture context, amongst others. With these scenarios relying on up-to-date information it is critical to implement a highly performing, scalable and easy to maintain data integration system. This is especially important as the complexity, variety and volume of data is constantly increasing and performance of data integration systems is becoming very critical. Despite the significance of having a highly performing DI system, there has been no industry standard for measuring and comparing their performance. The TPC, acknowledging this void, has released TPC-DI, an innovative benchmark for data integration. This paper motivates the reasons behind its development, describes its main characteristics including workload, run rules, metric, and explains key decisions.
