Progress of data processing system in JT-60 - Development of remote experiment system

JT-60 data processing system (DPS) possesses three-level hierarchy. At the top level of hierarchy is JT-60 inter-shot processor (MSP-ISP), which is a mainframe computer, provides communication with the JT-60 supervisory control system and supervises the internal communication inside the DPS. The middle level of hierarchy has minicomputers and the bottom level of hierarchy has individual diagnostic subsystems, which consist of the CAMAC and VME modules. To meet the demand for advanced diagnostics, the DPS has been progressed in stages from a three-level hierarchy system, which was dependent on the processing power of the MSP-ISP, to a two-level hierarchy system, which is decentralized data processing system (New-DPS) by utilizing the UNIX-based workstations and network technology. At present, replacing the MSP-ISP with a UNIX-based workstation is under way as a final phase in building the New-DPS project. This replacement will be accomplished by October 2005. In addition, remote experiment in JT-60 is considered to be an important issue in extension of the collaborative research among the nuclear fusion community. Technical environments for this task have been developed. The participant from a remote site can set discharge parameters with assistance of the dedicated machine operating status-information tools. Blockchain and differential privacy-based data processing system for data security and privacy in urban computing

Recently, big data related to human movement, air quality, and meteorology have been generated in urban computing through sensing technology and the computing infrastructure. However, security problems arise as data utilization increases. If the sensing data from internet of things devices are constantly exposed, the users' private information can be determined, a critical security risk that could result in privacy breaches. This paper proposes a secure data processing system using the blockchain and differential privacy for data security and privacy protection in urban computing. When a service provider requests information, the system generates it from urban computing data using machine learning. We apply differential privacy to these data to protect privacy. However, if a query repeats, differential privacy may provide insufficient privacy protection. Therefore, we reduce the total privacy cost by reusing noise for the same data and privacy parameters using the blockchain. Machine learning accuracy may decrease when noisy data are used for training. Thus, we increase accuracy by storing and appropriately using the model parameters generated by the same data in the blockchain. We design, simulate, and analyze the results of an experimental environment for reusing noise for differential privacy and parameter utilization of machine learning using the blockchain. The proposed approach reduces privacy costs compared to the existing mechanism while protecting data privacy. We demonstrate that, through parameter utilization, the accuracy improves compared to conventional mechanisms.

Real time processor, RTP, is a basic subsystem in the JT-60 data processing system and plays an important role in JT-60 feedback control utilizing various diagnostic signals. An original mini-computer system was replaced in 1994 with a workstation. It has 2 CPU's with a real-time parallel UNIX. During the experiment, one CPU communicates with the main computer synchronized with the experimental sequence, and the other executes a real-time process with 1 ms clock. RTP has been upgraded to a compatible RISC workstation with a faster A/D converter in 1997 in response to increased requests of handling the increased signals in more complicated manners. After this upgrade, an elapsed time is reduced to similar to 75% and an I/O time is now dominant. To reduce a CAMAC access time, we try to use a reflective memory for the data transfer. Now RTP handles six kinds of signals to control an electron density, a neutron emission, an electron density and a radiation in the divertor region, and a neutral pressure. RTP will handle five more kinds of signals this year and be used for an advanced control with more complicated processing. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.

A large-scale network of fiber Bragg grating (FBG) temperature sensors can detect ambient temperature field information. But mass data acquisition and real-time analysis of temperature data are very difficult, where can paralyze some sensor network nodes. So the processing of the big data has brought challenge to data processing system, the emergence of the cloud computing brings back to life for the storage and processing of big data. In this paper, a data processing system is built with the Hadoop, the HBase and the JSP, which is an open source framework used widely. The design of the data processing system provides a basic platform to the big data for FBG temperature sensor network, and it has a good application prospect.

The immense evolution in Large Language Models (LLMs) has underscored the importance of massive, heterogeneous, and highquality data. A data recipe is a mixture of data from different sources for training LLMs, which plays a vital role in LLMs' performance. Existing open-source tools for LLM data processing are mostly tailored for specific data recipes. To continuously uncover the potential of LLMs, incorporate data from new sources, and improve LLMs' performance, we build a new system named data-Juicer, with which we can efficiently generate diverse data recipes, explore different possibilities in forming data mixtures, and evaluate their effects on model performance. Different from traditional dataanalytics pipelines, data-Juicer faces some unique challenges. Firstly, the possible data sources for forming data recipes are truly heterogeneous and massive with various qualities. Secondly, it is extremely expensive to precisely evaluate data recipes' impact on LLMs' performance. Thirdly, the end users of data-Juicer, model developers, need sufficient flexibility to configure and evaluate different data recipes.

As one of the most important sensors of autonomous underwater vehicle, sonar is used to acquire underwater environmental information. processing the sonar data with a proper method can generate important features of underwater environment, of which the characteristics are large amount of data, highly requiring real-time and complex computation. Using C6000 DSP to implement sonar data processing is a feasible solution. Thus this paper presents a sonar data processing system of underwater robot which takes charge of acquiring and preprocessing sonar data to get significant environmental features for the robot navigation algorithm to use.

In 1972 the Chief of Naval Material perceived a proliferation of small computer types in the Navy inventory. To stem that proliferation a standard minicomputer was procured, to be used in all current and future tactical systems requiring a small digital processor. That standard was designated the AN/OYK-20 (V) data processing system. Lack of dedicated appropriated funds for procurement and support forced the Chief of Naval Material to tax the users of the system to obtain the necessary development and operational support funds. Premature delivery of the system to meet user schedules resulted in highly unreliable equipment being used in development efforts. A significant adverse impact on user project costs and schedules resulted. Examination of the standard minicomputer acquisition fosters a number of recommendations for future tactical digital processor acquisitions.

The rapid progress of modern science and technology promotes the continuous development of precision measurement technology and improves the accuracy and efficiency of measuring instruments. In optical precision measurement technology, grating measurement technology has the advantage of high precision and large range. This study introduces the principle, structure and data handling of grating tester for dial indicator gauges. As the grating tester for dial indicator gauges is a kind of high precision measuring standard instrument, the verification basis, verification method and uncertainty analysis are also discussed in depth in this study.
