One of the most popular control strategies for seaport microgrids (SMGs) is distributed control because it efficiently combines the benefits of centralized control with distributed control, lowers communication and calculation complexity, and enhances dependability and scalability of the system. The stability of the system and the safety of the inverter are at risk, though, because there is no central controller for monitoring the activities of the generator set. As a result, under the influence of potential network attacks, the control decisions between distributed generations (DGs) will be directly destroyed, and the power sharing between DGs will be hampered. To address the secondary control problem of the microgrid under false data injection (FDI) attacks, inspired by the concept of Digital Twins, this study proposes a virtual network defined by cloud network technology or software and linked to the microgrid's distributed cooperative control algorithm, to achieve frequency (voltage) synchronization and power sharing of SMGs. © 2023 IEEE.

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are broadly applied for various applications in tracking and surveillance due to their ease of use and other distinctive characteristics compelled by real-time cooperation among the sensor nodes. In WSNs, security is becoming a critical issue, as the techniques for malicious node detection adopt a one-time, centralized decision-making approach. With this paradigm, errors are difficult to avoid, and reproducibility and traceability are challenging. Hence, malicious node discovery technologies in conventional WSNs cannot assure traceability and fairness of the detection method. Herein, this paper discusses an in-depth survey of a blockchain-based approach for malicious node detection, an exhaustive examination of the integration of blockchain techniques with WSNs (BWSN), and insights into this novel concept. This survey discusses the architecture, sector-wise applications, and uses of BWSN. Moreover, this survey describes malicious node detection based on BWSN in two parts: 1) the BWSN architecture for detecting the malicious nodes and 2) the smart contract aspects in malicious node detection. Next, this survey explains the contributions of blockchain for WSN data management, which involves online information aggregation and may include auditing, event logs, and storage for information analysis and offline query processing. This survey first presents the conventional WSN solutions then the blockchain-based WSN solutions for data management. Additionally, this survey discusses the contributions of blockchain for WSN security management. It first examines the centralized WSN models for security problems, followed by a discussion of the blockchain-based WSN solutions for security management, such as offering access control, preserving information integrity, guaranteeing privacy, and ensuring WSNs' node longevity.

This paper presents the implementation of a distributed consensus algorithm for wireless sensor network (WSN) on a hardware platform of NodeMCU ESP8266. This study uses the minimum consensus algorithm as a tool for distributed estimation problems in WSN. We have design, developed and tested the prototype nodes. algorithms are written using C++ language compiler with the Arduino IDE. We did some adjustment to the original algorithm in order to be implemented on hardware that we use and do a test run. Based on the measurement results, the algorithm implemented on the nodes achieved the convergence as predicted by simulation. By implementing algorithms on hardware, we seek to add insight and knowledge of the algorithms used in WSN, real implementation of the algorithm on the hardware and the specifications of the hardware.

distributed consensus requires the consent of more than half of the congress to produce irreversible results, and the performance of the consensus algorithm deteriorates with the increase in the number of nodes. This problem can be addressed by delegating the agreement to a few selected nodes. Since the selected nodes must comply with the Byzantine node ratio criteria required by the algorithm, the result selected by any decentralized node cannot be trusted. However, some trusted nodes monopolize the consensus node selection process, thereby breaking decentralization and causing a trilemma. Therefore, a consensus node selection algorithm is required that can construct a congress that can withstand Byzantine faults with the decentralized method. In this paper, an algorithm based on the Byzantine agreement among decentralized agents to facilitate agreement between decentralization nodes is proposed. It selects a group of random consensus nodes per block by applying the proposed proof of nonce algorithm. By controlling the percentage of Byzantine included in the selected nodes, it solves the trilemma when an arbitrary node selects the consensus nodes.

Coordination Control Strategy for Power Management of Active Distribution Networks

This paper proposes a hierarchical coordination control strategy for solving the power management problem of an active distribution network with high penetration of distributed generation. The proposed strategy is intended to achieve four aims: 1) regulate the common coupling point demand at given references;2) share the active power among power generation sources;3) balance the voltages among controllable energy sources;and 4) recover the battery energy storage system's state-of-charge. The main contribution of the proposed strategy is that it can regulate both the active and reactive power injection at the common coupling point by coordinating the controllable energy sources such that the distribution network can be scheduled as an adjustable PQ node. The strategy considers the interests of three groups including the operators of power system, independent investors of distributed generators and the users in the distribution network. Sufficient conditions for the strategy are presented. Theoretical analysis and simulation studies are provided to illustrate and validate the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.

In this paper is shown, how delay properties of the edges of a network with stochastic properties can be estimated cooperatively by individual nodes that retain the delay profiles of the entire network. The proposed algorithm adopts null-space projection-based consensus among agents to find individual entries from a set of arbitrary sum-cumulative entities associated with graph edges (e.g., delays associated with edges) based on sums over the network paths. The local estimates of delay profile are estimated using Least Squares (LS). A modified, tailored, iterative consensus algorithm is then employed to distribute information among the neighbors. The distributed network tomography is compared to the conventional centralized solution and also to iterative solvers based on Cimmino, CAV, and Landweber methods applied in a distributed manner.

The increasing penetration of renewable power generators has brought a great challenge to develop an appropriate energy dispatch scheme in a microgrid system. This paper presents a hierarchical energy management scheme by integrating renewable energy forecast results and distributed consensus algorithm. A multiple aggregated prediction algorithm (MAPA) is implemented based on satellite weather forecast data to obtain a short-term local solar radiance forecast curve, which outperforms the multiple linear regression model. A distributed consensus algorithm is then incorporated into the HVAC (heating ventilation air conditioning) units as the adjustable loads in order to dynamically regulate power consumption of each HVAC unit, based on solar power forecast in a day. The scheme aims to alleviate the local supply-demand power mismatch by varying demand response of the HVAC units. Two case studies are performed to demonstrate the feasibility and robustness of the algorithms.

distributed Model Predictive Control (DMPC) strategies require local controllers to share information among each other. Considering the importance of communication in such control strategies and the failures that may occur in the information-sharing network, this paper proposes to apply the distributed consensus algorithm as an information exchange protocol for DMPC controllers. The advantage of the proposed protocol is twofold. First, it relaxes some communication assumptions usually made for DMPC controllers. Second, under some assumptions, it provides resilience against some communication failures such that the performance and the features of the implemented distributed controller are preserved. A case study of a microgrid system is provided as an example in which some simulations are carried out to illustrate the aforementioned advantages.

The traditional droop control is usually used to share real and reactive power without communication for fully decentralization power system. Because of that the traditional droop control has its inherent limitations, this paper presents a modified droop controller based on Kalman filter to reduce load effect, and then utilizes a distributed consensus algorithm to transmit error voltage to other distributed generation (DG) with sparse communication network, and last make use of distributed model predictive control (MPC) to achieve accurately load power sharing between multi-parallel inverters. Simulation results is verified the reliability of the proposed algorithm in realizing load sharing and the voltage-frequency restoration.
