Background:fascioliasis is a parasitic zoonosis that can infect humans and be a source of significant morbidity. The World Health Organization lists human fascioliasis as a neglected tropical disease, but the worldwide prevalence of fascioliasis data is unknown. Objective:We aimed to estimate the global prevalence of human fascioliasis. Data sources and methods:We performed a systematic review and prevalence meta-analysis. We used the following inclusion criteria: articles published in the English, Portuguese, or Spanish languages from December 1985 to October 2022 and studies assessing the prevalence of fasciola in the general population with an appropriate diagnostic methodology, including longitudinal studies, prospective and retrospective cohorts, case series, and randomized clinical trials (RCTs). We excluded animal studies. Two reviewers independently reviewed the selected studies for methodological quality, performing critical standard measures from JBI SUMARI. A random-effects model was conducted of the summary extracted data on the prevalence proportions. We reported the estimates according to the GATHER statement. Results:In all, 5617 studies were screened for eligibility. fifty-five studies from 15 countries were selected, including 154,697 patients and 3987 cases. The meta-analysis revealed a pooled prevalence of 4.5% [95% confidence interval (CI): 3.1-6.1;I-2 = 99.4%;T-2 = 0.07]. The prevalence in South America, Africa, and Asia was 9.0%, 4.8%, and 2.0%, respectively. The highest prevalence was found in Bolivia (21%), Peru (11%), and Egypt (6%). Subgroup analysis showed higher prevalence estimates in children, in studies from South America, and when fas2-enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used as a diagnostic method. A larger study sample size (p = 0.027) and an increase in female percentage (p = 0.043) correlated with a decrease in prevalence. fluorinated carbon materials have a wide range of applications due to their versatile properties. functionalisation of carbon materials with fluorine enhances their properties and open their applications to new fields. fluorinated graphene, in particular, has highly attracted researchers due to its 2-D structure, high hydrophobicity, wide bandgap and C-f bonding (ionic, semi-ionic/semi-covalent and covalent). This review gives a brief overview of the fluorination of various carbon materials such as graphite, carbon nanotubes, fullerene, and DLC and followed by an in-depth review of fluorination of 2-D graphene material. We discuss the synthetic methods of fluorinated graphene, which are mainly distinguished into exfoliation and direct fluorination. The relation between the type of bonds, f/C ratio and specific properties such as bandgap, optical properties, magnetic properties, electric and thermal conductivity and tribological properties are discussed. With a precise tuning of the f/ C ratio and limiting the type of C-f bond, the fluorinated graphene can be used in battery storage devices, as a lubricant additive, as a gas sensing material and in other applications like quantum dots, supercapacitors and bioapplications.

Rijkswaterstaat, the National Dutch body responsible for infrastructure, recognised the importance of formal modelling and set up a program to model the control of road tunnels. This is done to improve the standardisation of tunnel control and make communication with suppliers smoother. A subset of SysML is used to formulate the models, which are substantial. In an earlier paper we have shown that these models can be used to prove behavioural properties by manually translating the models to mCRL2. In this paper we report on an automatic translation to mCRL2. As the results of the translation became unwieldy, we also investigated modelling tunnel control in the specification language Dezyne which has built-in verification capabilities and compared the results.

Ethnopharmacological relevance: *** Lam. is a plant widely used in traditional medicine systems like Unani, Ayurveda, and folk medicines in Iraq and Turkey. It is known as Shahatraj in Arabic, which is derived from Shahatra and called Shajaratuddam. In the ancient Unani system, it is called Shajaratuddam. The term derived from Sajarat means tree, and Dam means blood since it has a potent blood purifier *** of the study: This review focused on comprehensive, updated information on the *** Lam. about the traditional uses, phytochemical and pharmacology and provided insights into potential opportunities for future *** and methods: The classical literature of Shahatra for its temperament (Mizaj), medicinal properties and traditional therapeutic uses were gathered from nearly 15 classical Unani books, eight local and foreign books on ethnomedicines and ethnobotany in English. The information of pharmacognosy, phytochemical and pharmacological activities of *** Lam was collected by browsing the Internet (PubMed, ScienceDirect, Wiley online library, Google Scholar, ResearchGate). The relevant primary sources were probed, analysed, and included in this review. The keywords used to browse were *** Lam, shahatra, pitpapda, and fine fumitory. Relevant Sources were gathered up to April 2021, and the chemical structures were drawn using Chem sketch software. The species name was checked with http://*** ("*** Lam. - The Plant List," n.d.). Efficiency and mechanisms of action of pelletized compost loaded with Bacillus velezensis CE 100 for controlling tomato fusarium wilt

The objective of this study was to determine the control efficacy of pelletized compost containing high number of the biocontrol agent, Bacillus velezensis CE 100, for tomato fusarium wilt. Pelletizing had no serious effects on the cell numbers and quality of strain CE 100 in producing lytic enzymes although antifungal activities of reisolated strain CE 100 from pellet against fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici was slightly reduced compared to the original strain. However, culture filtrates of two B. velezensis CE 100 strains not only induced abnormal mycelial development with pigment reduction but also caused hyphal deformations with swelling and bugling of the fungal pathogen. Moreover, cyclo(prolyl-valyl), an antifungal dipeptide, was isolated from B. velezensis CE 100 culture and identified by HR-ESI-MS and 1D-and 2D-NMR experiments. The dipeptide limited conidial germi-nation of f. oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici in a concentration-dependent pattern. Long incubation period triggered irregular hyphal morphologies with swollen septa and disorganized cell contents in treatments with the dipep-tide. Under in vivo conditions, supplementation of soil with strain CE 100-pelletized compost significantly controlled fusarium wilt and resulted in the lowest disease incidence rate, consequently promoting tomato growth. The soil amendment with strain CE 100-pelletized compost could be used as a potential approach for a better fungal disease control, promoting sustainable agriculture.

fluoride (f) pollution is a global environmental problem representing a severe risk for food and vegetables grown in contaminated soils. Phaseolus vulgaris L. is widely cultivated in arid and semi-arid regions and f-contaminated areas of the world. for that reason, f tolerance during germination and seedling growth was evaluated for four bean genotypes: Borlotto nano (commercial variety) and three African genotypes (Lyamungu 85, Lyamungu 90, and Jesca). Seeds were grown in sand enriched with Naf or Kf at three different levels (0, 80, and 200 mg kg(-1)). NaCl was used as a benchmark to determine the potential effect of different Na levels in the plant. Total f content and mineral accumulation (Na, K, and Ca) in roots and shoots were measured. The translocation factor, growth ratio, and f tolerance index were evaluated to estimate plant-salt response. Germination rate decreased with increased f level. Borlotto was more f sensitive (0% germination with 200 mg kg(-1) of Kf and Naf) than the African genotypes. Under the highest f concentration (200 mg kg(-1)), f preferentially accumulated in shoots (Jesca 75.7 mg kg(-1), Lyamungu 85 100.1 mg kg(-1), and Lyamungu 90 115.4 mg kg(-1)). Ca content in roots was negatively correlated to f absorption, suggesting its antagonistic role to f mobility. Based on these parameters, Jesca and Lyamungu 85 were the most tolerant species, recording a low f uptake and a high Ca content in the root. This study highlighted the central role of Ca as a key secondary messenger in regulating plant growth and development under f stress.

Destination country's institutional quality and Chinese E-commerce exports

This paper constructs a unique dataset of Chinese firm-level bilateral cross-border e-commerce exports using the back-end online logistics database of a famous Chinese logistics platform to study the impact of destination country's institutional quality on Chinese cross-border e-commerce export. Our results show that the institutional quality of destination countries significantly boosts China's cross-border e-commerce exports. Institutional quality has a more significant effect on the extensive margin than the intensive margin. Mechanism analysis shows that institutional quality significantly stimulates export entry, export survival, and continuous exports. furthermore, destination country's institutional quality has a greater impact on cross-border e-commerce export than on traditional export.

Chaotic emperor penguin optimised extreme learning machine for microarray cancer classification

Microarray technology plays a significant role in cancer classification, where a large number of genes and samples are simultaneously analysed. for the efficient analysis of the microarray data, there is a great demand for the development of intelligent techniques. In this article, the authors propose a novel hybrid technique employing fisher criterion, Relieff, and extreme learning machine (ELM) based on the principle of chaotic emperor penguin optimisation algorithm (CEPO). EPO is a recently developed metaheuristic method. In the proposed method, initially, fisher score and Relieff are independently used as filters for relevant gene selection. further, a novel population-based metaheuristic, namely, CEPO was proposed to pre-train the ELM by selecting the optimal input weights and hidden biases. The authors have successfully conducted experiments on seven well-known data sets. To evaluate the effectiveness, the proposed method is compared with original EPO, genetic algorithm, and particle swarm optimisation-based ELM along with other state-of-the-art techniques. The experimental results show that the proposed framework achieves better accuracy as compared to the state-of-the-art schemes. The efficacy of the proposed method is demonstrated in terms of accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, and f-measure.
