In this paper, I outline an approach to civil society that is in contradistinction to the dominant liberal conception of civil society as a sphere or sector distinct from the state with inherently positive values. Instead, I argue, civil society always exists in the shadow of the state. I propose to advance a conception of civil society through the combination of two thinkers who are not often combined: G.W.f. Hegel and Michel foucault. from Hegel, I take the conception of the state's regulation of civil society to direct the particular interests towards the universal of the state through the police and, especially, the corporation. By incorporating a specific type of civil society, the state attempts to shape a civil society that advances its own interests. from foucault, I take the conception of civil society as a transactional reality, as well as the conception of neoliberalism as a form of statecraft and the production of subjects. I propose that neoliberalism can be understood as the promotion of the corporate form to all areas of social life. In neoliberalism, the central wealth-producing subject is the corporation, and as a result, the state privileges the corporation by granting it extensive powers, privileges, and exemptions from law. This happens to the detriment of both individual and other collective subjects, making it the primary subject of neoliberal civil society.

Eutectic bis(2,2-dinitropropyl) acetal - bis(2,2-dinitropropyl) formal mixture, nitroplasticizer (herein called NP) has historically been produced by either the ter Meer or oxidative nitration synthesis process, wherein 2,2-dinitropropanol (DNPOH) is produced as an intermediate step in both processes. Therefore that DNPOH, could be present in NP either as a production or hydrolysis degradation product is worth investigation. Here, we synthesized DNPOH, validated the synthesis using NMR, and identified DNPOH in aged NP using liquid chromatography tandem time offlight - quadrupole mass spectrometry (LC-QTOf). Using these results, for the first time we positively identify that DNPOH is absent from NP after its production, but is present as a degradation product through hydrolysis from a thermo-chemical aging profile of NP. To hydrolyze NP, prerequisite is the presence of both water and acid. Despite the presence of water in NP, DNPOH is only generated in the late stage of the aging process, when acid concentration is sufficiently high. It has been previously shown both theoretically and experimentally that a primary step of NP degradation is HONO elimination followed by decomposition, wherein nitric acid, nitrous acid, and water are produced (NP -> NP'+2HONO and 2HONO -> NO+NO2+H2O). It is shown from this reaction series that water slows HONO decomposition and therefore in small quantities, 100 s of ppm, water actually stabilizes NP against hydrolysis by equilibrium and reducing acidity.

Some Trichoderma species have been used as biocontrol agents in agriculture. The effectiveness of T. citrinoviride HT-1, a beneficial endophyte isolated from Rheum palmatum root was explored for control of root rot and its mechanisms of induced systemic resistance. The results showed that the inhibition rate off. oxysporum was 71.85% in dual culture. The fermentation metabolites (fM) of the T. citrinoviride HT-1 strain suppressed mycelial growth off. oxysporum, recording an inhibition rate of 79.07%. Conidial suspensions of T. citrinoviride HT-1(1 x 10(7) spores/mL) can suppress the root rot of R. palmatum caused by f. oxysporum to a low disease index (17.60) and had significant control effects on root rot (72.53%). The activities of induced defense-related enzymes in R. palmatum plants were significantly increased following T. citrinoviride HT-1 treatment. The RT-PCR analysis of the defense-related genes showed that T. citrinoviride HT-1 can increase the defense response-related gene expression. This study has contributed to our understanding of the biocontrol potential of T. citrinoviride HT-1 and provided a theoretical basis for the application as a bio-fungicide.

The article examines Holderlin's poem as a tragic response to Romantic reflection as formulated by fichte, and in this context shows that the poem's interest in Klopstock, recognized by recent scholarship, is a critical one. Holderlin, like Hegel, discerns a continuity between Klopstock's emphasis on feeling and the problems offichtean reflection. The article concludes by looking at the poem's critical anticipation of later Romantic developments, and its significant relation to Goethe's 'Auf dem See'.

In an effort to (1) describe the correlations between antioxidant activity, total phenolic content, and effective acidity in honey and (2) set the questioning of using additional parameters in the EU Council directive relating to honey botanical and geographical origin determination, 60 honey samples of different botanical origin (citrus, fir, oak, pine, and thyme) were subjected to analyses. The antioxidant activity and total phenolic content were measured using the DPPH and folin-Ciocalteu colorimetric assays, while the effective acidity was measured on the basis of official electro-chemical methodology. Results showed that there was a positive correlation between the three determined parameters using Pearson and Bayesian correlation statistics, whereas the pH of honeydew honeys (fir, oak, and pine) (f.O.P.), followed a linear trend when plotted graphically versus the %DPPH inhibition. The implementation of multivariate statistics (MANOVA/LDA) differentiated honey samples satisfactorily according to botanical origin (correct classification rate of 80%). The discrimination rate was almost perfect (98.3%) when honey samples were grouped as blossom and honeydew. further evaluation of data was accomplished using bootstrap analysis. New trends in honey authentication are described in the resent study, setting the questioning for a complementary packaging label based only on three routinely measured parameters.

As part of our revision of the genus Ophiorrhiza for the flora of Thailand, 24 species names are taxonomically reassessed and lectotypified, mostly those described by W.G. Craib from A.f.G. Kerr's collections. Objectives: To determine the response of hepatic tissue to percutaneous microwave ablation (MWA) of liver tumors via MR elastography in a clinical setting using MRI and MR elastography. Methods: 51 Patients (28 m, 23f) underwent MWA of liver tumors (HCC: 20, metastasis: 31) and received MRI and MR elastography immediately before and 24 h after MWA. Retrospective analysis included pre- and post-ablative tumor extent, T1/T2 mapping and stiffness values as well as the duration and energy dose of the MWA session. Results: Total liver stiffness increased by 4.3% from 3.31 kPa to 3.45 kPa (p = 0.036). Total liver stiffness post-MWA significantly correlated with the duration of the MWA session (r = 0.369, p = 0.008). The higher the baseline tumor stiffness was, the more energy had to be applied in MWA (r = 0.391, p < 0.001) and the longer the duration of the session (r = 0.391, p = 0.007). Healthy parenchyma stiffness increased by 3.5% from 3.55 kPa to 3.68 kPa (p = 0.142) and was strongly influenced by the cumulative energy (r = 0.436, p < 0.001), the duration (r = 0.458, p < 0.001) and the energy intensity (r = 0.458, p < 0.001) of MWA. 43 patients had a technically successful ablation result (margin >= 5 mm). Those with successful ablation had increased ablation margin stiffness (5.3 kPa vs. 4.6 kPa, p = 0.26) and had received higher ablation intensity than those with unsuccessful ablation (5.73 kJ/min vs. 5.03 kJ/min, p = 0.002). Conclusion: Additional MRE may be used before and after MWA to assess treatment response and collateral tissue damage after MWA. Baseline tumor stiffness helps finding the appropriate MWA parameters.

This paper constructs a unique dataset of Chinese firm-level bilateral cross-border e-commerce exports using the back-end online logistics database of a famous Chinese logistics platform to study the impact of destination country's institutional quality on Chinese cross-border e-commerce export. Our results show that the institutional quality of destination countries significantly boosts China's cross-border e-commerce exports. Institutional quality has a more significant effect on the extensive margin than the intensive margin. Mechanism analysis shows that institutional quality significantly stimulates export entry, export survival, and continuous exports. furthermore, destination country's institutional quality has a greater impact on cross-border e-commerce export than on traditional export.
