Vibration induced by shield construction can lead to liquefaction of saturated *** on flac3d software,a numerical model of tunnel excavation is established and sinusoidal velocity loads with different frequencies are applied to the excavation *** pattern of the excess pore pressure ratio with frequency,as well as the dynamic response of soil mass under different frequency loads before excavation,is *** the velocity sinusoidal wave acts on the excavation surface of the shield tunnel with a single sand layer,soil liquefaction ***,the ranges and locations of soil liquefaction are different at different frequencies,which proves that the vibration frequency influences the liquefaction location of the *** sand-clay composite strata with liquefiable layers,the influence of frequency on the liquefaction range is different from that of a single *** the frequency range of 5-30 Hz,the liquefaction area and surface subsidence decrease with an increase in vibration *** research results in this study can be used as a reference in engineering practice for tunneling liquefiable strata with a shield tunneling machine.

Pillarless coal mining technology is a new practical *** on the compensating mechanical behavior of the Negative Poisson’s Ratio(NPR)anchor cable on the roof,the roadway was successfully retained by the top cutting and pressure relief *** study utilizes the digital Speckle Monitoring(dIC monitoring),stress-strain monitoring,and infrared thermal imaging systems to conduct physical model experiment of similar materials from the displacement,stress-strain,and temperature fields to investigate in depth the fracture change law of the overlying *** addition,it uses flac3d numerical simulation to invert the surface displacement *** results show that the non-pillar overhead mining under the 110 mining method has little influence on the rock crack in the middle of the coal seam,and the crack development area is mainly concentrated in the overlying rock mass of the upward coal *** compensatory mechanical behavior of NPR anchor cable and the dilatation characteristics of rock mass have a good effect of retaining roadway along goaf,and can also reduce surface *** 110 mining method provides a scientific basis for ecological environment protection and the development of other kilometer deep soft rock high ground stress underground projects.

Study on the failure characteristics of overburden and the evolution law of seepage field in deep buried thick coal seam under aquifers

Water inrush at roof area seriously affects the safety of coal mines. The characteristics of aquifer and aquiclude at Wutongzhuang Mine are analyzed. Considering the effect of seepage field, a formula for calculating the height of water-conducting fractured zone (HWCFZ) in deep buried thick coal seam mining is derived. A damage-seepage coupling model with rock porosity and damage factor as independent variables is established. flac3d is re-developed by using FISH language, and the fluid-solid coupling calculation model of deep buried thick coal seam mining is established. The evolution law of the plastic zone, seepage field and water-conducting fractured zone (WCFZ)of the overburden in the gob with the advancement of the working face is analyzed, the main conclusions are as follows: With the continuous advancement of the working face, the distribution shape of the plastic zone and seepage field has changed from a trapezoidal to a saddle shape;when the working face reaches full mining, the maximum heights of the caving zone, fractured zone and HWCFZ are 24 m, 113 m, and 123 m, respectively;The 50 m-thick sandy shale aquifer is penetrated by the WCFZ, and the WCFZ on the side of the working face above the gob is the main water channel when the working face is advanced to 220 m. The on-site monitoring results showed that mine water inflow is not affected by surface rainfall and the 50 m-thick sandy shale is successively connected by the WCFZ. The results of comprehensive research showed that the HWCFZ cannot be calculated by traditional formulas when mining deep buried thick coal seams.

A method for calculating the ultimate bearing capacity of uplift piles in combined soil and rock mass

The study of ultimate bearing capacity (UBC) of uplift piles in combined soil and rock mass is of great significance in engineering. In order to study the UBC of uplift piles in combined soil and rock mass,in situuplift tests in practical engineering were conducted, and a suitable flac(3d)numerical simulation model was established by combining with geological conditions in engineering andin situtest data. And a combined inverted cone failure model was modified for the calculation of UBC. The normal stress and shear stress on the failure surface of soil and rock mass were solved based on zero-tension truncation modified, small and non-zero tensile truncation modified Mohr-Cloumb criterion. Finally, the UBC of uplift pile was solved according to the upper bound method of limit analysis. Although the obtained calculation formula can reflect the change of the UBC of uplift pile with different rock-socketed depths, the calculation accuracy was not high enough and the error was relatively large. Consequently, the proposed analytical formula was further modified. The results showed that the proposed UBC formula can be used to predict the UBC of uplift pile in combined soil and rock mass.

Stability Control of the Equipment Recovery Passage in a Fully Mechanized Longwall Mining: Case Study

Equipment recovery passage (ERP) is being widely employed in longwall panel for the purpose of recovering heave mining equipment at the end of mining stage. The stability of the ERP, however, is always difficult to control although powerful supporting structures are employed, which restricts its further promotion. In the present paper, we focused on the ERP's stability control through reducing the abutment stress imposed on the ERP's surroundings rather than solely increasing roadway support intensity, based on a rigorous case study in China. First, the dynamic evolution of the abutment stresses, corresponding plastic zone and deformations in the surrounding rock of the ERP were analyzed through a meticulously validated flac3d numerical simulation, as the longwall face moved with different velocity. The simulated results indicate that the faster the longwall face moved, the lower the abutment stresses, the narrower the plastic zone and the smaller the deformations were. In terms of these analyses, two suggestions were proposed, including increasing longwall face moving velocity and roof structure optimization, and corresponding technologies were introduced, and potential effect were verified as well. Conclusions and suggestions of this paper might be helpful for increasing the flexibility of the ERP in similar geotechnical conditions.

numerical Study on the Effectiveness of the Grouting Cable Bolt in deep Retained Goaf Side Gateroad

Grouting cable bolt was employed to control the stability of the retaind goaf side gateraod (RGSG) in the Panyidong coalmine by considering severe stress disturbances and soft rock mechanics associated in deep mining environment. To have a deep insight of the effectiveness of the grouting cable bolt supporting on the stability control of the deep RGSG, a flac3d numerical model was built according to the geotechnical condition of the Panyidong coalmine, in which strain softening constitutive material was introduced to model the softening behavior of the surrounding rock supported by end-anchored cable bolt or grouting cable bolt. Simulated results demonstrated that: Confining stress release during roadway driving and stress concentration during longwall face retreating are the main driving force to the large deformation of the RGSG supported by end-anchored cable bolt;Grouting cable bolt supporting can improve the stability of the deep RGSG considerably thought providing high bolting strength and grouts injection, and ideally, the RGSG's roof sag and right coal rib convergence making main contributions to the RGSG section shrinkage could be reduced by 22.0% and 23.0%, 26.6% and 29.4%, 30.2% and 34.9% when the RGSG is supported by grouting cable bolt I, II and III, respectively. Field application also verified that the integrity of the surrounding rock of RGSG was improved and the residual section of the RGSG was large enough to reserve for the second longwall panel mining when the grouting cable bolt technology was applied in the Panyidong coalmine with 850 m depth.

numerical simulation analysis of the deformation characteristics in the construction process of subgrade are conducted. Based on the different filling unit weight and roadbed elastic modulus conditions, the main research is that vertical settlement of roadbed center and the horizontal lateral displacement of road slope toe change with the increase of the depth of filling. It is believed that the lightweight filling should be selected or the roadbed elastic modulus will be enhanced as much as possible under the condition that satisfies various standard, which can improve the settlement deformation of highway.

Based on the field measurement and taking te fault into account, the flac software was used to simulate and analyze the variation law of the axial force under the influence of mining and the causes of the strata phenomenon such as triangular *** results are as follows: simulation results such as the old roof pressure cycle, temporal and spatial distribution of axial force of anchor are consistent with the measured one,thus the correctness of the model has been proved;In the front of the working face, the support pressure increases first and then decreases, finally tends to be stable;When affected by the fault, the maximum support pressure in front of the working face and the range of the bolt advance support will increase.

Glass fiber reinforced plastics geogrid has a wide application in the field of soil reinforcement because of its high strength, good toughness, and resistance to environmental stress, creep resistance and strong stability. In order to get high-powered glass fiber reinforced plastics geogrid and its mechanical characteristics, the properties and physical mechanical index of geogrid have been got through the study of its raw material, production process and important quality index. The analysis and study have been made to the geogrid＇s mechanical properties with loading speed, three-axial compression, temperature tensile test and flac3d numerical simulation, thus obtain the mechanical parameters of its displacement time curve, breaking strength and elongation at break. Some conclusions can be drawn as follows：（a） Using glass fiber materials, knurling and coated projection process, the f^acture strength and corrosion resistance of geogrid are greatly improved and the interlocking bite capability of soil is enhanced. （b） The fracture strength of geogrid is related to temperature and loading rate. When the surrounding rock pressure is fixed, the strength and anti-deformation ability of reinforced soil are significantly enhanced with increasing reinforced layers. （c） The pullout test shows the positive correlation between geogrid displacement and action time. （d） As a new reinforced material, the glass fiber reinforced plastics geogrid is not mature enough in theoretical research and practical experience, so it has become an urgent problem both in theoretical study and practical innovation.

In order to make sure the reasonable roadway layout in lower seam of close coal mining group coordination in Lijiahao coal mine, firstly, applying the theoretical analysis and geological radar detection to get the influence depth of mining from the up coal seam 2-2 to the floor is about 20m, the results show that the thickness of complete strata is about 15m, then determining to use the outward alternate entries in lower seam roadway by using theoretical analysis. At last, determining the distance of outward alternate entries is 12-14m by using flac3d numerical simulation software to simulate the change of stress and displacement in roof,floor and two sides of roadway.
