Numerical Solutions for the Time and Space fractional Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations

We implement relatively analytical techniques, the homotopy perturbation method, and variational iteration method to find the approximate solutions for time and space fractional Benjamin-Bona Mahony equation. The fractional derivatives are described in the Caputo sense. These methods are used in applied mathematics to obtain the analytic approximate solutions for the nonlinear Bejamin-Bona Mahoney (BBM) partial fractional differential equation. We compare between the approximate solutions obtained by these methods. Also, we present the figures to compare between the approximate solutions. Also, we use the fractional complex transformation to convert nonlinear partial fractional differential equations to nonlinear ordinary differential equations. We use the improved (G'/G)-expansion function method to find exact solutions of nonlinear fractional BBM equation.

The joint aeronautical and maritime Search and Rescue(SAR) is the most effective way of rescuing life at *** joint aeronautical and maritime search and rescue at sea is also an activity which is full of complexity and *** the location of target in distress is unknown,the search process must be carried *** the sole way to locate and rescue survivors,the search process is the most costly,hazardous and complicated part during the whole SAR *** paper focuses on the core problem about optimal selection of search effort and task distribution which are often encountered in large area maritime search practice and is urgently to be solved in joint aeronautical and maritime search activity.A global optimal model for search effort selection is *** fully considers factors about area of sea region to be searched,maximum speed,search capabilities,initial distance of vessels and aircrafts,as well as aircrafts' life *** analyzing global optimal results in different vessel and aircrafts quantity,and taking the relationship between searching coverage time and number of search effort(cost) into account,the optimal(economic and feasible) search scheme can be produced.

In this paper, we propose a novel iterative algorithm based on successive convex approximation for the nonconvex energy efficiency optimization problem in massive MIMO networks. The stationary points of the original problem are found by solving a sequence of successively refined approximate problems, and the proposed algorithm has the following advantages: 1) fast convergence as the structure of the original energy efficiency function is preserved as much as possible in the approximate problem, and 2) easy implementation as each approximate problem is natural for parallel computation and all variable updates have a closed-form expression. The proposed algorithm is guaranteed to converge and its advantages are also illustrated numerically.

This paper studies energy-efficient coordinated beamforming in multi-cell multi-user multigroup multicast multiple-input single-output systems. We aim at maximizing the network energy efficiency by taking into account the fact that some of the radio frequency chains can be switched off in order to save power. We consider the antenna specific maximum power constraints to avoid non-linear distortion in power amplifiers and user-specific quality of service (QoS) constraints to guarantee a certain QoS levels. We first introduce binary antenna selection variables and use the perspective formulation to model the relation between them and the beamformers. Subsequently, we propose a new formulation which reduces the feasible set of the continuous relaxation, resulting in better performance compared to the original perspective formulation based problem. However, the resulting optimization problem is a mixed-Boolean non-convex fractional program, which is difficult to solve. We follow the standard continuous relaxation of the binary antenna selection variables, and then reformulate the problem such that it is amendable to successive convex approximation. Thereby, solving the continuous relaxation mostly results in near-binary solution. To recover the binary variables from the continuous relaxation, we switch off all the antennas for which the continuous values are smaller than a small threshold. Numerical results illustrate the superior convergence result and significant achievable gains in terms of energy efficiency with the proposed algorithm.

We study weighted energy efficiency maximization for multiple-input multiple-output cognitive multiple access channels under both secondary user transmit power constraint and primary user interference power constraint. Energy efficiency is defined as the ratio of weighted sum rate and energy consumption including both transmission and circuit energy consumption. The nonlinear (fractional programming) energy efficiency optimization problem is transformed into a series of parametrized convex optimization problems. A combination of bisection search method and cyclic coordinate ascent-based iterative water-filling algorithm is proposed to solve the parametrized problem. Computer simulation examples are provided to illustrate the proposed approach and to explore the trade-off between energy efficiency and spectrum efficiency.

In this paper, we study the benefits of employing improper Gaussian signaling (IGS) in full duplex relaying (FDR) suffering from in-phase and quadrature imbalance (IQI). Different from the traditional symmetric signaling scheme, proper Gaussian signaling (PGS), that is parametrized by its variance, IGS needs additional statistical-quantity called the pseudo-variance to be fully described. The cooperative system under consideration suffers from two types of interferences, the residual self-interference (RSI) and IQI. To evaluate the system performance gain using IGS, first we express the end-to-end achievable rate for different IQI. Then, we optimize the pseudo-variance to compensate the interferences impact and improve the end-to-end achievable rate. Interestingly, IGS-based scheme outperforms its counterpart PGS-based scheme, especially at higher interference-to-noise ratio. Our findings reveal that using single-user detection with asymmetric signaling can compensate both RSI and IQI and improve the system performance.

This paper considers the energy-efficient precoding matrix design for relay-aided multiuser downlink multiple-input single-output wireless systems. The precoders of the base station (BS) and the relay station (RS) are designed to maximize the transmit energy efficiency, defined as the ratio between the system sum rate and the total power consumption, under the quality-of-service constraints of the users and the transmit power constraints on the BS and the RS. In view of the fact that this precoder design problem is a nonconvex fractional programming, a successive Dinkelbach and convex approximation (SDCA) algorithm is proposed to handle this problem. Simulation results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed SDCA algorithm, and significant EE improvement as the number of antennas at the BS and the RS increases.

Energy harvesting is emerging as a promising approach to improve the energy efficiency (EE) and to extend the life of wireless networks. This paper focuses on energy-efficient transmission power allocation techniques for a point-to-point communication channel, equipped with a fixed-power battery, as well as a harvest-use battery. Using the fact that the harvested energy does not consume from the fixed battery, EE is formulated as the ratio of Shannon limit (as a function of the sum of the power consumed from the fixed battery and the harvest-use battery) to the sum of the circuit power and power consumed from the fixed battery. For the considered energy harvest-use technique, a time switching approach is used that in each frame, the node harvests energy for a percentage of frame time and transmits data for the rest of the frame time. Using the fact that the formulated EE is a quasi-concave function in transmission power, we use fractional programming to obtain the optimal power level, {- above letter P}_u, and in-turn, the maximum achievable EE. Analytical derivations show that the maximum achievable EE monotonically increases with harvested power, whereas, {- above letter P}_u monotonically decreases with it. Simulation results show the effects of harvested energy, fixed-battery power limit, and time switching rate on the maximum achievable EE.

In this paper, we will propose a practical method for improving the performance of a maximal predictability portfolio (MPP) model proposed by Lo and MacKinlay and later extended by the authors. We will employ an alternative version of MPP using absolute deviation instead of variance as a measure of fitting and apply a dynamic strategy for choosing the set of factors which fits best to the market data. It will be shown that this approach leads to a significantly better performance than the standard MPP and the index.

This paper studies energy-efficient coordinated beamforming in multi-cell multi-user multiple-input single-output (MISO) system. On contrary to the existing approaches where the power consumption of a base station is modeled as a convex or linear function, we consider a more practical model where part of the processing power depends on the rate provided by the base stations. Two optimization criteria are considered, namely network energy efficiency maximization and weighted sum energy efficiency maximization. We develop successive convex approximation based algorithms to tackle these difficult nonconvex problems. The numerical results illustrate that the rate dependent power consumption has a large impact on the energy efficiency, and, thus, has to be taken into account when devising energy-efficient transmission strategies.
