High accuracy RSSI data gathering is still a great challenge in indoor environment because the measuring procedure is prone to being interfered by barriers or random walking people. This paper thus focused on anti-interference algorithm to improve the RSSI data accuracy. The interference factors concerned with RSSI value measuring process are analyzed firstly. And then the characteristics of different interference sources are discussed in detail. Two kinds of algorithm are proposed to cope with two kinds of interference sources. One is clustering algorithm, which is used to eliminate the burst interference. The other is filter algorithm, which is used to minimize the random noise. algorithms are tested on Zigbee platform. Experimental results indicate that the proposed approaches could obviously improve the RSSI accuracy.

This paper describes an algorithm that is suitable for fast implementations of nonrecursive and recursive digital filters. High speed is realized at the expense of memory;however, the memory-speed tradeoff is flexible so that many hardware and software implementations are practical. When memory is not limited, the time required to compute a filter output value is independent of the order of the filter. © 1974, IEEE. All rights reserved.

A Very Efficient Approach for the Synthesis of 2-D Recursive Fan filters

In this paper, we present a very efficient approath for the synthesis of twodimensional (2-D) re-cursive fan filters based on 1-D filter design. The investigation of the elliptical approximation theory mekesit possible to decompose a 1-D analogue filter into a series-parallel combination of all-pass sections. The 1-Ddigital filter obtained from this decomposition, while used as the prototype for 2-D filter synthesis, results ina grearly simplified realization architecture for fan filters. The final transfer function of the fan filter,which is reduced lo a combination of several lower-order all-pass sections, not only has fewer coefficients butalso enjoys optimal magnitude response. Some illustrative examples are given in this paper to show the effec-tiveness and simplicity of the proposed method.

This paper presents a method to enhance the stability of atomic clock ensemble time scale by using weighted moving average filter. Compared with Kalman filter, the weighted moving average filter has simpler algorithm structure, higher computational efficiency. Its convergence time is shorter than Kalman filter. When the two filters were applied to frequency data of Cs clocks, they have consistent filtering performance. The preliminary results show the weighted moving average filter can enhance the stability of local atomic clock ensemble time scale, especially the short- and middle-term stability.

The correlations between smartphone sensors, algorithms, and relevant techniques are major components facilitating indoor localization and tracking in the absence of communication and localization standards. A major research gap can be noted in terms of explaining the connections between these components to clarify the impacts and issues of models meant for indoor localization and tracking. In this paper, we comprehensively study the smartphone sensors, algorithms, and techniques that can support indoor localization and tracking without the need for any additional hardware or specific infrastructure. Reviews and comparisons detail the strengths and limitations of each component, following which we propose a handheld-device-based indoor localization with zero infrastructure (HDIZI) approach to connect the abovementioned components in a balanced manner. The sensors are the input source, while the algorithms are used as engines in an optimal manner, in order to produce a robust localizing and tracking model without requiring any further infrastructure. The proposed framework makes indoor and outdoor navigation more user-friendly, and is cost-effective for researchers working with embedded sensors in handheld devices, enabling technologies for Industry 4.0 and beyond. We conducted experiments using data collected from two different sites with five smartphones as an initial work. The data were sampled at 10 Hz for a duration of five seconds at fixed locations;furthermore, data were also collected while moving, allowing for analysis based on user stepping behavior and speed across multiple paths. We leveraged the capabilities of smartphones, through efficient implementation and the optimal integration of algorithms, in order to overcome the inherent limitations. Hence, the proposed HDIZI is expected to outperform approaches proposed in previous studies, helping researchers to deal with sensors for the purposes of indoor navigation-in terms of either positioning or trackin

Development of single measuring point overall balancing method based on multi-cylinder dynamic balance detection system

The combine harvester with multi-cylinder has a wide application in improving the operation efficiency. Therefore, as an important process in combine harvester, threshing operated by multi-cylinder usually makes the working structures suffer hit from the blockage of stones or materials. Consequently, the cylinders fail to guarantee the original balance. Several studies have been performed in this area, based on the dynamic balance method and vibration signal processing. However, most of them are not efficient for multi-cylinder. This study aims at developing an online dynamic balance detection system for multi-cylinder in combine harvester, in order to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of online dynamic balance detection. A multi-cylinder test rig is developed, and unbalanced vibration experiments under different working conditions are performed. The results show that the different measuring positions have different sensitivities to unbalanced mass. The vibrations will be transmitted through the frame, and coupled with each other. Under the multi-cylinder rotation, the vibration has strong randomness and poor convergence. For this purpose, the single measuring point overall balancing method is proposed. An adaptive multiple filter algorithm relying on the LabVIEW platform, is also proposed. Through phase relation between cylinders, the single measuring point overall balancing algorithm is developed. The comparison experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is more robust under the multi-cylinder rotation. The proposed method simultaneously installs sensors on the bearing seat of No. 1 tangential cylinder and balance 3 cylinders. The traditional method balance 3 cylinders separately change the sensor position. The effect of the proposed method is almost 76%, while that of the traditional balance method is almost 66%. For the multi-cylinder system, the single measuring point overall balancing method can efficiently improve the balance effect by 10%. Final

Intercomparison of Resampling algorithms for Advanced Technology Microwave Sounder (ATMS)

The observations from satellite microwave-sounding instruments have been widely used in weather and climate studies. Since the data resolution varies with frequency and satellite viewing angle, it is normally required that the measurements at each frequency be resampled to obtain a uniform resolution prior to various applications. In this study, the ATOVS and AVHRR pre-processing package (AAPP) Fourier transform algorithm is modified for ATMS data and the results are compared with those derived from Backus-Gilbert inversion (BGI) and the original AAPP. From the simulated and observed ATMS data, we demonstrated the new algorithm has better results in terms of imaging quality and noise suppression, compared with BGI and AAPP. In general, our modified AAPP algorithm reduces the error by at least about 0.5 K in ATMS channels 2 and 6 and at all the viewing angles.

An interval Kalman filter (IKF) algorithm based on the interval conditional expectation is applied to an integrated global positioning system/inertial navigation system (GPS/INS). Because the IKF algorithm is applicable only to linear interval systems, the extended interval Kalman filter (EIKF) algorithm for non linear integrated systems is developed. A high dynamic aircraft trajectory is designed to test the algorithm developed. The results of computer simulation indicate that the EIKF algorithm is consistent with the traditional SKF scheme, and is also effective for uncertain non linear integrated system.

The color images of the actual field were collected and processed in the variable spray system based on machine *** variable spray decision was made according to the identified *** variable spraying was realized by the sprayer for the variable spray ***,there were many noises in the field images because of the complexity of the field image acquisition *** identification result could be affected by the *** analyzing the noise distribution of the color images that were acquisitioned in the actual field,it could be found that there were more noises in the images which were collected in sunny day and with ***,there were fewer noises in the images which were collected in cloudy and with the simple soil *** was mainly random impulse noise in the actual field *** to the noises characteristics in the color images,four color image filtering algorithms were *** test results showed that the filter based on RGB scalar had poor effect because some new colors appeared,and it was the slowest;the rest filters nearly had no difference,the filter based on RGB vector was the fastest.

Short report: An algorithm based on the Canadian survey on disability to propose paratransit eligibility of the Quebec's population

Background: Paratransit is a mobility alternative provided to PWDs (people with disabilities) facing issues using the regular transit network. In Montreal (Canada), the demand for this type of service is growing due to population aging. Admissibility to paratransit services is based on various eligibility criteria. Objective: The aim of this research is to estimate the share of people residing in Quebec which is eligible for paratransit services and to estimate the latent demand (number of eligible people) for the STM (Montreal transit authority) paratransit service. Methods: To determine the share of people eligible for the paratransit services, a filter algorithm has been developed based on eligibility criteria of the Quebec Ministry of Transportation. This algorithm is used to filter the results of the 2017 CSD (Canadian Survey on Disability). The results are applied to the Montreal's population and compared with the current use of the STM para-transit service to estimate a latent eligible population. Results: In Quebec, 5% (296,130) of the population is considered eligible for paratransit services based on the filter algorithm. In Montreal, 1.7% (23,787) of people are STM paratransit users. This represents only 33% of the eligible population. So, the latent eligible population of the STM paratransit service amounts to more than 50,000 people. Conclusion: Mobility of PWDs has an important impact on social inclusion and access to oppor-tunities. Therefore, it is essential to identify the eligible population and to understand why eligible people are not using the provided services.
