Solving the safety issues of underwater robot disconnection caused by loss of communication with the main ship or potential mechanical issues has become particularly important in today’s increasingly common era of underwater tourism. Firstly, we used ArcGIS software to conduct geographic modeling based on the real data of the Ionian Sea on Earth, which served as the data support for building the model. Establishing a realistic geographic model. Secondly, after analyzing the data of the Ionian Sea, we selected four important factors to improve the comprehensiveness of geographic modeling. We used some more advanced formula algorithms to calculate the required parameters of the model more accurately, and adopted the latest TEOS-10 [2] seawater thermodynamic equation as theoretical support to improve the accuracy of the model. Finally, we used the Kalman filtering algorithm to predict and calculate the actual position of the underwater robot in the Ionian Sea, and achieved a certain degree of accuracy to ensure the success rate of the search. And on the basis of mature models, Monte Carlo algorithm was applied to improve rescue efficiency, save rescue costs, and achieve the expected goals.

To better correct the spatial trajectory of human motion, this paper proposes a Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM)-assisted correction algorithm for the Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filter, aimed at improving the accuracy of human joint motion capture based on inertial sensors. In the proposed algorithm, the forward data is obtained from the backward-updated data smoothed by the Rauch-Tung-Striebel (RTS) smoother and compared with the forward-predicted data from the FIR. The resulting error is input into the pre-trained LSTM model to predict the error data, and the backward data at that moment is updated, making the positional information more accurate. This calculation shows significant effectiveness when estimating the elbow data. In the experiment, the data obtained using the LSTM-assisted FIR filter showed a 35.83% improvement compared to the data obtained with the LSTM-assisted Kalman Filter.

This paper proposes an adaptive beamforming anti-jamming communication system, in which baseband signal processing is implemented on a software-defined radio (SDR). This approach offers programmable and flexible configuration features compared to traditional RF front-ends. By deploying adaptive filtering algorithms on the SDR platform, the system can adaptively weight and sum the signals from various channels, directing the beam towards the target signal with an unknown location. Ultimately, this achieves spatial filtering, enhancing the signal in the direction of the target while effectively isolating the interference signals.

In the study of sensorless control strategies for PMSM, this paper proposes a generalized higher-order cubature Kal-man filtering algorithm based on singular value decomposition, to address the limitations of the traditional CKF observer's low observation accuracy and filter divergence. The algorithm tries to improve the PMSM's control performance. First, this work establishes an accurate mathematical model of the PMSM as a research foundation. The classic CKF algorithm's observation accuracy is then greatly improved by introducing the fifth-order spherical radial volume criterion, which raises the observation ac-curacy to the fifth-order level. Meanwhile, to address the filter dispersion issue, this research uses the SVD decomposition to replace the Cholesky decomposition in the classic CKF. Finally, the research indicates that the control strategy can achieve high-precision control of the speed and angle of the permanent magnet synchronous motor, which effectively improves the control performance of the PMSM.

Finding flows that are persistent but do not occur frequently is very important to intrusion detection and network management. Current solutions detect persistent and infrequent (PI) flows according to the accumulative statistics from all time windows. However, PI flows may generate a huge amount of traffic in very short time period. The bursty traffic significantly disrupts the accumulative statistics, leading to misjudgments of PI flows. To address this issue, we propose a novel design called PIB sketch, which finds PI flows based on the global information from all time windows and local information within each independent time window. By filtering out the bursty traffic, PIB sketch avoids the negative effect on measurement accuracy. We conduct large-scale trace-driven test to evaluate PIB sketch. The test results show that PIB effectively improves the F1 score and ARE compared with the state-of-the-art solutions.

This paper investigates the design of beampattern in an Frequency Diverse Array (FDA)-Multiple-Input MultipleOutput (MIMO) radar by jointly optimizing the transmit waveform and receive filter considering the environment of jammers at specific range-angle intervals. In this regard, the optimization problem is formulated by forcing the constant modulus constraint on the waveform. For solving the devised non-convex problem, an alternating optimization procedure is introduced, where the optimization problem is partitioned into two subproblems related to waveform and filter, respectively. Particularly, the former is solved by utilizing a projection, descent, and retraction (PDR) method leveraging the complex circle manifold, whereas the latter resorts to a quadratic programming model. Hence, a desired beampattern with deep nulls at specific range and angle intervals can be formed. Finally, numerical results illustrate the convergence performance of the developed algorithm and the effectiveness of the devised beampattern in suppressing jammers.

Despite the number of works published in recent years, vehicle localization remains an open, challenging problem. While map-based localization and SLAM algorithms are getting better and better, they remain a single point of failure in typical localization pipelines. This paper proposes a modular localization architecture that fuses sensor measurements with the outputs of off-the-shelf localization algorithms. The fusion filter estimates model uncertainties to improve odometry in case absolute pose measurements are lost entirely. The architecture is validated experimentally on a real robot navigating autonomously proving a reduction of the position error of more than 90% with respect to the odometrical estimate without uncertainty estimation in a two-minute navigation period without position measurements.

This paper analyzes and compares different visual-inertial (V-INS) sensor fusion strategies, conceived to enable GNSS-resilient navigation of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV). The strategies share the same data fusion architecture, based on a loosely coupled Extended Kalman Filter (EKF), but have variable characteristics concerning the image processing and pose estimation pipelines. Specifically, four different geolocation strategies are investigated to retrieve range information about the detected visual features in the observed scene, exploiting a flat Earth assumption, a local flat Earth assumption, a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) intersection and a triangulation method, respectively. The latter approach, in particular, does not require any geometrical assumption or any a priori knowledge on the observed scene. Furthermore, an original approach to provide the EKF with a consistent estimate of the covariance associated to the visual-based pose solution is proposed. The navigation performance is evaluated by means of numerical simulations reproducing a straight trajectory with hovering and a curved trajectory, both over an almost flat and a mountain scenario. In the best case of the flat scenario, the percentage error on the position estimate, computed with respect to the UAV traveled distance, is less than 0.15%, and the error on the attitude angles estimate is less than 0.08°, while the Root Mean Square (RMS) values of the same quantities are about 0.09% and 0.04°, respectively. In the mountain scenario the performance is degraded but the maximum errors are still kept approximately within 1% and 1o, respectively.
