The broad adoption of cloud computing (CC) as a new technology offering on-demand networked access to shared configurable computer resources has resulted in an increased need for data storage and service management. But at the same time, CC also opens up further vulnerabilities by throwing issues such as insider threats, data breaches and unauthorized access into the mix. The study suggests this mechanism as a cloud-based intrusion detection technique made up of optimization and machine learning algorithms that mitigate these issues. In the beginning, an input noiseless training data undergoes a Gaussian filter to improve the quality of data and remove any background noise. In this step, Random Forest Recursive feature elimination is used to select significant low-dimensional features with the help of correlation-based feature selector. Implemented on the Python platform using the CICIDS-2019 dataset, the proposed method's accuracy is validated and evaluated against various criteria, demonstrating superior performance compared to recent related studies and effectively enhancing intrusion detection in cloud computing.

With the increasing complexity and precision of special vehicle system structure, the efficiency and accuracy of fault diagnosis of on-board DC distribution networks are facing challenges. The complexity and particularity of the DC distribution network make it face many challenges, such as electrical failure, overcurrent, undervoltage, and other problems, which may have a serious impact on the safe and stable operation of special vehicles. Therefore, developing a set of fault identification and protection methods for special vehicle DC distribution network circuits is urgently needed. This paper presents the relay protection method of a special vehicle DC distribution system based on the Savitzky-Golay filter, studies the fault problem of a special vehicle transmission line, constructs the relay protection method of a special vehicle DC transmission system, and realizes the fault identification and protection of the special vehicle DC distribution system.

Addressing the growing challenges posed by increasing vehicles and stringent traffic violations, many vehicle number plates go undetected while passing through toll booths and traffic lights. Thus it creates the need for a vehicle number plate recognition system. Existing systems employing ANPR algorithms utilize MATLAB and K-Nearest neighbour algorithms for image processing. Drawbacks include limitations in adapting to dynamic environments, Real time recognition, handling multiple vehicles, slow processing speeds, incapability of multiple object detection in single frame. The paper focuses on Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), employing specialized cameras and advanced image processing and using YOLOv8 for object detection and extracting license plate information from video feeds using EasyOCR. The noisy data generated during character recognition is filtered out using Regex based algorithm. The system integrates with centralized databases for real-time vehicle information access for users. The same database is used to automate e-challan updation, contributing to traffic management by swiftly issuing fines for rule violations. The proposed video-based processing system achieves number plate detection using YOLOv8 and storage of vehicle number plates in a centralized MongoDB database with an accuracy achieved of 96% in license plate detection and reduces noisy data using algorithm. It also enables real-time data retrieval through a user interface using Reactjs as frontend and is also connected to the MongoDB database for precise and user-friendly access in modern traffic systems.

The conventional online monitoring method of carbon emissions in multi energy complementary industrial parks mainly uses MSHea-EnKF multi time scale Kalman filtering algorithm to filter the monitoring data, which is vulnerable to the impact of quantitative cycle changes, resulting in excessive deviation of carbon emissions monitoring cycle components. Therefore, an effective online monitoring method of carbon emissions in multi energy complementary industrial parks is proposed. That is to say, an optical sensor for online monitoring of carbon emissions in the multi energy complementary industrial park was designed, and an online monitoring center for carbon emissions in the multi energy complementary industrial park was generated, which became an online monitoring of carbon emissions. The experimental results show that the cycle component of the designed online carbon emission monitoring method is close to the actual carbon emission component, which proves that the designed online carbon emission monitoring method has good monitoring effect, reliability, and certain application value, and has made certain contributions to the development of sustainable production plans for industrial parks.

In practical applications, only the output noise, but not the disturbance of the system, can be measured directly. In this case, the effectiveness of the designed Kalman filter is poor and even diverges because of the disturbance. In this paper, we make use of the improved Sage-Husa state disturbance statistical estimators to estimate the mean and variance of the system state disturbance in real time. To provide more robustness, the strong tracking Kalman filter algorithm is introduced to improve the variance of state prediction in time. For the velocity model of the gyro-stabilized platform with different positive and negative velocity model parameters, we verify the superiority and practicability of the algorithm proposed through comparative experiments under different system conditions in the simulation experiments. This paper designs a better Kalman filter with process disturbances and noise and provides a deep study and investigation by means of a comparative analysis of performance.

Objective: The useful distortion signals in the power grid are relatively small compared to voltage or current signals, which will annihilate the useful distortion signals during transmission, in order to suppress the noise interference in the power grid, adaptive filters for IF communication are designed. Methods: Bidirectional IF communication technology is employed to transmit signals, utilizing the core technology of an adaptive filter algorithm based on Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS) with adjustable parameters. Results: When the modulated signal is processed by the adaptive anti-jamming RIS algorithm of the filter, it significantly reduces interference noise and improves the signal-to-noise ratio without prior knowledge of the input signal and noise’s statistical characteristics. This enhances the channel’s signal energy and effectively improves the transmission of bidirectional IF communication signals. Conclusion: Through experimental simulation, the design of adaptive filter based on RIS algorithm realizes the effective transmission of signals, while the noise of bidirectional IF communication signals is effectively suppressed.

Wildfire spread simulation simulates the dynamic spread of wildfires by modeling fire spread behavior under various fuel, terrain, and weather conditions. To achieve real-time fire spread prediction using wildfire spread simulation models, it is essential to assimilate real-time observation data from active fires into the simulation models. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) has been increasingly used to collect data from wildfires. This paper presents a data assimilation method that assimilates UAV-based observation data for wildfire spread simulation. We formulate a data assimilation problem that works with a discrete event wildfire spread simulation model and UAV-based observation data. A particle filter-based data assimilation algorithm is developed to carry out the data assimilation task. Experiment results show the effectiveness of the developed data assimilation method for assimilating UAV-based data for wildfire spread simulation.

Technology integration in education has become essential to overcome the limitations of existing systems. Existing techniques frequently confine learning to in-class lectures, limiting access to different materials and flexibility in learning. The proposed SRGEC IT Era system transforms education by offering a user-friendly web-based platform to address that. The solution removes the restrictions on physical attendance by providing specialized courses, videos, and resources based on individual interests. It is built using ReactJS, Python, and Firebase, ensuring seamless functionality and scalability. Content curation uses Natural Language Processing algorithms to provide relevant resources, while user interaction elements increase engagement through tailored recommendations. The evaluation results show considerable gains in user happiness, learning outcomes, and engagement indicators compared to traditional methods. With more excellent completion rates, an increase in average test scores from 75% to 85%, and improved user experiences, the Proposed system represents a disruptive approach to democratizing education and empowering learners worldwide.

To solve the Blind Source Separation (BSS) problems in time-variant and highly reverberant environments, an online joint optimization algorithm for Weighted Prediction Error (WPE)-based dereverberation and Independent Vector Analysis (IVA)-based source separation (online WPE-IVA) has been reported. On the other hand, Online Source Steering (OSS) was recently introduced for filter updating in online IVA with low computational cost for a target-source tracking task where only one speaker is moving. Inspired by this work, we integrate OSS into online WPE-IVA, aiming to reduce the computational cost of updating separation filters. Experimental results show that our proposed method reduces computational costs while achieving comparable separation performance to conventional online WPE-IVA in target-source tracking tasks in highly reverberant environments.

Today, digital instrumentation and the generation and analysis of data dominate the global economic landscape. Although there is no doubt that processing such data is crucial, certain statistical metrics still rely on conventional techniques that are not computationally efficient. This study introduces a median "filter" utilizing adaptive histograms (AH) that functions recursively without the requirement of storing and sorting all data. The introduced method can be utilized to estimate statistical measures for very large and expanding datasets. Alternatively, a windowed AH is also proposed to achieve online signal processing without arbitrarily discarding past values and addressing asymmetric (skewed) noise. It was subsequently shown that the method is feasible for implementation on a digital device, with its execution time assessed and its performance compared against a widely-used filtering alternative. The results showed that AHs are time-effective, accurate, and robust against uneven sampling and loss of data packets. This highlights the enabled possibility of computing statistical metrics online or over large datasets.
