Recently, the use of brain-computer interface (BCI) systems based on Steady-State Visual Evoked Potentials (SSVEPs) has increased significantly. This increase is attributed to their advantageous features, such as acceptable accuracy and minimal user training requirements. SSVEPs, a crucial pattern in BCI systems, are generated in the occipital region of the brain through visual stimulation within the frequency range of 6 to 60 Hz. In this paper, we propose two novel algorithms based on the Multiway Canonical Correlation Analysis (MCCA) method for frequency detection in SSVEP-based BCI systems. Our goal in the proposed algorithms, namely Sine-Cosine Filtered-CP-CCA (SCF-CP-CCA) and EEG-Filtered-CP-CCA (EF-CP-CCA), is to augment the initial reference signal by using tensor decomposition tools on multidimensional input EEG data. In both algorithms, we perform a modified Canonical Polyadic (CP) decomposition using an Alternating Least Squares (ALS) approach. Similar to the MCCA algorithm, for each stimulation frequency, a higher order array is generated using training data and the resulting tensor is decomposed using the proposed ALS method where loading matrices are filtered in each iteration. The obtained temporal loading matrix and a classic Sine-Cosine signal are then used in a Canonical Correlation Analysis (CCA) model to obtain the reference signal. The way the reference signal is generated, using the canonical scores of the EEG loading matrix or the Sine-Cosine matrix, leads to the proposal of two algorithms: SCF-CP-CCA and EF-CP-CCA. Finally, the Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) algorithm between the EEG test data matrix and the obtained reference signal is used to determine the target frequency. To evaluate the proposed algorithms, we use the real MEMANSSVEP dataset and compare the results of the proposed methods with those of the MCCA one. Road information extraction from 3D point clouds is useful for urban planning and traffic management. Existing methods often rely on local features and the refraction angle of lasers from kerbs, which makes them sensitive to variable kerb designs and issues in high-density areas due to data homogeneity. We propose an approach for extracting road points and fitting centrelines using a top-down view of LiDAR based ground-collected point clouds. This prospective view reduces reliance on specific kerb design and results in better road extraction. We first perform statistical outlier removal and density-based clustering to reduce noise from 3D point cloud data. Next, we perform ground point filtering using a grid-based segmentation method that adapts to diverse road scenarios and terrain characteristics. The filtered points are then projected onto a 2D plane, and the road is extracted by a skeletonisation algorithm. The skeleton is back-projected onto the 3D point cloud with calculated normals, which guide a region growing algorithm to find nearby road points. The extracted road points are then smoothed with the Savitzky-Golay filter to produce the final centreline. Our initial approach without post-processing of road skeleton achieved 67% in IoU by testing on the Perth CBD dataset with different road types. Incorporating the post-processing of the road skeleton improved the extraction of road points around the smoothed skeleton. The refined approach achieved a higher IoU value of 73% and with 23 % reduction in the processing time. Our approach offers a generalised and computationally efficient solution that combines 3D and 2D processing techniques, laying the groundwork for future road reconstruction and 3D-to-2D point cloud alignment.

This study investigates the effect of the LCL filter on the crest factor of the load signal for a hybrid system. For this purpose, a hybrid test system has been modeled in the Matlab/Simulink environment. Buck/boost converter, inverter, and LCL filter have been designed. PWM signal has been generated using the incremental conductance (INC) algorithm. The gate-switching signal for the IGBTs has been generated using the PWM signal. The performance of the LCL filter with various parameters has been examined, and the effect of the signal on the load concerning the crest factor has been analyzed. Results showed that increasing inductance caused a deviation from the optimal crest factor and a reduction in peak voltage due to increased inductive reactance. Additionally, it was found that a 60 μF capacitance yielded improved crest factor performance, while higher values (90 μF) introduced significant harmonic distortion. The study indicates that the use of the LCL filter in power converters plays an important role in reducing the ripples in the system and that the LCL filter is effective in reducing the crest factor. The results highlight the significance of implementing an LCL filter to enhance the efficiency and reliability of PV panels in hybrid power systems. This study offers important insights into how LCL filters impact the stability and performance of systems powered by renewable energy sources.

Intelligent devices often obtain heading angles through gyroscopes to achieve path planning during motion. This paper focuses on the problem of inaccurate heading angles in intelligent device path systems and proposes an N -point sliding filtering algorithm for calculating heading angles based on gyroscopes. This algorithm utilizes the nonlinear characteristics of N-point static drift errors of gyroscopes to solve the drift problem in heading angles during intelligent device dynamic motions. The algorithm combines $\mathrm{N}-\mathrm{point}$ sliding windows to obtain real-time calibrated heading angles, together with thresholding techniques to distinguish static and dynamic characteristics, improving the reliability of long-term heading angle operations in intelligent devices. In this paper, experiments were carried out by collecting heading angle data of an intelligent lawn mower traveling in a straight 35 m corridor using Glink. The experimental data shows that with this algorithm, the heading angle deviation of the intelligent lawn mower is only 0.14° after reaching the endpoint, increasing the accuracy by 21° compared to traditional lawn mowers. Additionally, the sliding window implementation leads to smoother and more real-time heading outputs compared to N point interval sampling, effectively solving the zero drift problem during dynamic motion, and can be widely applied in path planning and heading control of intelligent devices.

A two-degree of freedom PID (2DOF-PID) control method with Kalman filter is proposed for wind tunnel centrosome system with input disturbance and output noise, which can not only reject the influence of input disturbance on the system, but also ensure the accurate tracking performance of the system set point. A compensator is designed to transform the nonlinear system with input backlash into an equivalent generalized linear system which is easy to control. The designed two degrees of freedom PID controller consists of a disturbance rejection controller and a tracking controller. The parameters of the disturbance rejection controller are adjusted by Ziegler-Nichols method. The set point tracker is tuned by intelligent particle swarm optimization (PSO), and its fitness function is composed of integral absolute error to ensure good tracking performance. Besides, Kalman filter algorithm is used to process the output noise. Finally, compared with the existing algorithms, the feasibility and superiority of the proposed algorithm are verified by experiments test.

With the advent of the era of information and data, a large amount of data has been accumulated in various fields. How to use these data effectively and tap its potential value has become an urgent problem. Cluster analysis is an important method in data mining, its purpose is to group similar objects into one class, so that objects in the same class are as similar as possible, and objects in different classes are as different as possible. However, traditional clustering methods are often based on full space, which may lead to unsatisfactory results in the face of complex data sets, especially in high-dimensional space. Therefore, subspace clustering has become a research hotspot in recent years. The purpose of subspace clustering is to find the local structure of the data, so as to obtain more accurate clustering results. In addition, the reliability of data is also a factor that cannot be ignored in cluster analysis. The quality of data is often uneven due to possible errors and noise during data collection, storage and processing. Using this data directly for clustering can result in incorrect clustering results. Therefore, how to effectively consider data reliability and integrate it into subspace clustering algorithm is a problem worth studying. In this paper, a filtered multi-objective soft subspace clustering algorithm framework R-MOSSC based on data reliability is proposed, and an algorithm example AMGA2SC is given.

Accurate attribution and tracing of cyber attacks require a comprehensive understanding of the resources employed by malicious actors. However, Indicators of Compromise (IoCs) can only reveal a portion of the attacker’s assets. To enhance the capability of clue expansion, this study introduces a novel approach to associating attack sources, facilitating the identification of additional IP addresses and subnets that may correspond to a single malicious actor. We focus on the scenario of compromised email accounts and utilize login logs as foundational data. We employ Gaussian Mixture Models (GMM) to construct a reference model that captures known malicious behaviors. Then, we utilize a genetic algorithm to filter and select candidate subnets that exhibit the attack patterns outlined by the reference model. Through evaluation on real-world data, we demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method in successfully attributing multiple attack sources to a single attacker, thereby providing valuable insights for manual investigations.

Electrical power systems nowadays are complex and interfered with each other in areas and divisions. In order to link multiple areas of power systems, an Automatic Generation Control (AGC) is required to control voltage and frequency. The control on frequency is affected by load change in the areas of power systems. Load Frequency Control (LFC) is mandatory to maintain system stability and efficiency. In this paper, three classical controllers are applied to a two area LFC system with a target of error minimization by Integral Square Error (ISE) function. The three controllers are Fractional Filtered PID Controller (PIDNF), Fractional Filtered FOPID Controller (FOPIDNF), and Sigmoid PID Controller (SPID). These controllers are tuned by novel optimization algorithms which are Giant Trevally Optimizer (GTO), Tasmanian Devil Optimizer (TDO), and Zebra Optimization Algorithm (ZOA). The best optimization results were obtained from the GTO-SPID controller combination.

With their high-fidelity scene representation capability, the attention of SLAM field is deeply attracted by the Neural Radiation Field (NeRF) and 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS). Recently, there has been a surge in NeRF-based SLAM, while 3DGS-based SLAM is sparse. A novel 3DGS-based SLAM approach with a fusion of deep visual feature, dual keyframe selection and 3DGS is presented in this paper. Compared with the existing methods, the proposed tracking is achieved by feature extraction and motion filter on each frame. The joint optimization of poses and 3D Gaussians runs through the entire mapping process. Additionally, the coarse-to-fine pose estimation and compact Gaussian scene representation are implemented by dual keyframe selection and novel loss functions. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm not only outperforms the existing methods in tracking and mapping, but also has less memory usage.

The settling time of a frequency synthesizer plays a crucial role in determining the dynamic performance of modern wireless and wireline systems which employ power gating and dynamic voltage frequency scaling techniques to reduce power dissipation. The all-digital phase-locked loop (ADPLL), with its digital loop filter (LF), emerges as a superior alternative to the analog PLL since its swift convergence speed and compatibility with digital algorithms. The counter-based ADPLL [1], depicted in Fig. 1 (top-left), can accelerate the locking speed by configuring the digital loop filter in the type-I mode to search the coarse-band switched capacitor control word rapidly. However, a phase offset exists between the REF and D/V clocks after the type-I loop settles, which prolongs the locking time when the loop filter is switched back to the type-II mode for phase locking. To address this limitation, the type-II digital PLL employs frequency and phase locking loop techniques, such as frequency aid [2], [3], tuning word estimation [4], gearshift, and fast-Fourier transform techniques [5], [6], to accelerate the settling process. However, these approaches require a digital loop filter with flexible programmability. Thus, the fast-locking techniques developed for digital PLLs cannot be directly mitigated to the low-jitter type-II sampling PLL [7] using a high-gain but narrow-capture-range sampling phase detector (PD) and a limited programmable analog loop filter. The typical long-time frequency locking behavior is depicted in Fig. 1 (top-right). Even after achieving frequency lock, the out-of-capture range in the phase locking process still results in a long iteration time, as shown by the dashed line in Fig. 1 (bottom-right).
