This document aims to reaffirm the superiority of quantum-inspired evolutionary algorithms(QiEA) over conventional algorithms. The study proposes a novel QiEA with sorted mutation and greedy local restart (SMGLR) algorithm for finding the optimal coefficients of a filter using a multi-objective optimization function. PCG signals sourced from the Washington Hearts Sounds and Murmurs database and the Michigan Heart Sounds database were filtered using this enhanced filter. Comparative analysis was conducted against the proposed algorithm and established techniques such as Wavelet-based denoising and Variable Mode decomposition. Results: The results revealed that the filter designed using QiEA-SMGLR exhibited superior performance in terms of improved Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) in both comparisons. A comprehensive statistical analysis yielded a correlation coefficient of close to 0.99 indicating strong signal integrity. The QiEA-SMGLR algorithm outperforms Wavelet-based and VMD methods by improving the output SNR by 20% to 100%. This variance can be attributed to the intensity of noise introduced. The result reaffirms the hypothesis that the QiEA-SMGLR algorithm is superior in improving signal clarity and precision over traditionally popular techniques. The improvement in the analysis of Phonocardiogram (PCG) signals could help improve patient diagnostics, amidst the fight against global cardiac problems.

Addressing the deficiencies of traditional acquisition algorithms in spread spectrum ranging signals, this paper introduces a large doppler range fast acquisition algorithm that utilizes partially matched filters and fast Fourier transform for windowing. The mathematical model of PMF-FFT was extensively analyzed, along with its fundamental principles of acquisition. The characteristics of its amplitude frequency response were mathematically derived and analyzed. This paper examines how changes in filter length affect various performance metrics and provides selection criteria. The performance of the improved algorithm was analyzed, showing that windowing significantly mitigates gain attenuation and associated losses in the acquisition system, and using Tong detection method to improve the capture performance of the system.

The social media revolution has made it simple to get and access information in seconds as it happens. X (Twitter) among other social media platforms has led this revolution due to its advantages of algorithms that sort feeds of interest and users can choose chronological feeds which makes it a “continuous, breaking news” platform. Although X has these algorithms that feed users with “tweets of interest”, use #hashtags, and retweets for news to trend, its inability to filter news based on location results in people in an exact/specific town/village/local communities or those who have interest in a certain location do not get specific news about that area. As such, a Dispatch Application was developed to address this predicament. Design Science Methodology which allows the designing of computerised (technological) solutions to address societal problems was adopted. Results show that Dispatch filters news based on location can provide society with the news they want.

Fractional fourier transform (FRFT) processing has received extensive attention because of its superior anti-jamming performance. In this paper, in order to meet the demand of signal reception of intelligent wearable emergency search and rescue terminal in complex electromagnetic environment, a simulation study of adaptive filtering algorithm based on fractional Fourier transform is carried out. First, a theoretical model of fractional Fourier transform is established, and then the steps of adaptive filtering algorithm based on fractional Fourier transform are theoretically analyzed. Finally, the anti-interference performance of this method is simulated and studied. It can be seen from the simulation results that when the signal-to-interference ratio is −60dB, the adaptive algorithm based on fractional Fourier transform can still achieve signal reception under strong interference. The research in this paper can provide some reference for the anti-interference design of emergency rescue terminal.

This work proposes a novel application of the hybrid adaptive filtering algorithm (HAFA) that combines both continuous mixed p-norm (CMPN) topology and least mean square root of exponential (LMSRE) strategy in order to improve the low voltage ride-through (LVRT) capability of the grid-connected doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) based wind energy conversion system (WECS). This article suggests the CMPN-LMSRE-based HAFA because of its quick convergence, low computing load, and straightforward construction. Through quick convergence velocity, the proposed HAFA adjusts the gains of all proportional-integral (PI) controllers. Under the cascaded arrangement, four PI controllers are used in the rotor side converter (RSC), and four more are used in the grid side converter (GSC). The RSC is regulated by cascaded structure-based PI controllers to limit generator power loss and enhance power production. In contrast, GSC is controlled to preserve the grid side reactive power and dc-link voltage. By contrasting the outcomes of the proposed CMPN-LMSRE-based PI controllers with those of CMPN-based and LMSRE-based PI controllers during severe grid disturbances, the validity of the proposed CMPN-LMSRE-based PI controllers is confirmed. The MATLAB application is used to carry out the LVRT capability.

The brain stroke death rate increases nowadays in the 40–70 age group. Due to the lack of immediate treatment, people fall into paralyzing hands and face irregularities. So, treatment in the early stages will reduce mortality rates. This paper proposes automatically detecting Anisotropic Filtered FRFCM (Fast and Robust Fuzzy C Means). The study on fast and robust Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) segmentation addresses Computational Complexity, Noise and Artefacts in Medical Imaging, and Robustness to Variability in Imaging Conditions. The Anisotropic Filter was applied to the fuzzy partition matrix of the FRFCM segmentation to improve its performance. The proposed Anisotropic Filtered Fast and Robust Fuzzy C Means (AF-FRFCM) results were compared with the FCM-based segmentations such as FCM, Enhanced FCM, Fuzzy Local Information C-Means Clustering (FLICM), and FCM algorithm based on noise detection (NDFCM). The dataset for this research was collected from the Kaggle website. The proposed AF-FRFCM segmentation performed better than the conventional segmentation techniques by achieving 99.54% accuracy in classifying brain strokes from the magnetic resonance images.

In this big data era, distributed machine learning and global data pooling have become quite critical in practical implementation of any multimedia data-science technique. The emerging federated multimedia recommendation systems (FeMRSs) offer a promising approach to address the need of personalized recommendations subject to both users’ privacy and data security. However, there exists no quantitative method for assessing the discrepancy between the large original rating matrix stored on the server and the dimensionality-reduced rating matrix produced on each client’s equipment. Meanwhile, there lacks a systematic means to evaluate the differential privacy (DP), which is a critical security measure in many distributed systems, particularly when sensitive data are processed. In this work, we first introduce a novel personalized dimensionalityreduction algorithm utilizing the matrix sketching technique. This new algorithm effectively control the difference between the original rating matrix on the server and the dimensionality-reduced rating matrix on each client’s equipment. Moreover, a randomized DP matrix factorization algorithm is designed to be executed at each client’s equipment. The theoretical proof is also carried out to show how much DP can be attained by use of the aforementioned randomized DP matrix factorization algorithm. Finally, extensive numerical studies are presented to evaluate the effectiveness of our proposed novel algorithms using both simulated and real datasets for building the FeMRSs.

DSTATCOM is most commonly used to regulate the voltage generated by the SEIG used in wind turbines. DSTATCOM provides the reactive power required by the SEIG and the load. It uses the DC bus voltage to provide the required reactive power. For effective control, the DC bus voltage must be constant at the desired value and the required reactive power must be correctly determined. This also requires correct estimation of the reference source currents. When the system is loaded with non-linear and unbalanced loads, if the load currents are not well filtered, the active and reactive components of the load currents will be incorrectly estimated. In this paper, an E 2 PLL-based control algorithm with superior filtering capability is proposed for the control of SEIG loaded with nonlinear and unbalanced load. The proposed algorithm is tested under nonlinear and unbalanced load conditions. The obtained results clearly prove the effectiveness of the E 2 PLL-based control algorithm.

In order to better analyse and research the influencing factors of interdisciplinary education and to reveal the complex connections between the influencing factors, this paper analyses the primary data obtained in practice through complex network analysis and association rule mining. The results show that the algorithm based on complex network analysis and distributed association rules can overcome the limitations of a single linear correlation analysis, and can more deeply analyse and show the complex links and systematic associations among the influencing factors. Based on the further processing of the data through chi-square filtering algorithm, the above data mining methods can analyse the importance of different influencing factors and effectively realise the framework design of the interdisciplinary pedagogy model.

Mixed noise is commonly present in images, posing challenges for traditional denoising algorithms such as median filtering, mean filtering, and wavelet threshold filtering. In this paper, a novel approach is proposed for denoising mixed noise. The proposed method combines an improved median filtering technique with a wavelet thresholding function. By incorporating the strengths of both methods, our algorithm aims to effectively remove mixed noise from images. Firstly, we enhance the performance of the median filtering algorithm to provide initial denoising. Subsequently, a two-level wavelet transform is applied to the pre-filtered image, enabling the extraction of high-frequency components. These components are then filtered using an improved thresholding function and median algorithm. Finally, an inverse wavelet transform is performed to reconstruct the denoised image. The experimental results show that our algorithm improves the peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) of the denoised image by 2.17%~10.56%, and reduces the root-mean-square error (RMSE) by 6.24%~25.19% compared to the algorithms such as the median filter, wavelet soft-threshold filter, wavelet hard-threshold filter, and wavelet semi-soft threshold filter, etc. Hence, the proposed algorithm in this paper exhibits superior preservation of image details and more efficient removal of mixed noise.
