Accurate altitude information is essential for achieving safe flight, especially during take-off and landing. The Kalman filter (KF) is an optimal state estimation method that can be utilized for flight altitude estimation. In practical scenario, considering the influence of sensor characteristics and changes in the external environment, uncertain measurement phenomena may arise, which leads to the deviation between the estimated filter state and the true state, leading to filter divergence. In this paper, a robust measurement distribution-based variational Bayesian filtering algorithm is presented as a solution to this issue. The heavy-tailed properties of the measurement noise are modeled using the Student-t distribution, while the variational Bayesian approach is employed to dynamically estimate the statistical characteristics of the measurement noise in real time. Simulation and experiment results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm outperforms both the traditional KF algorithm and the variational Bayesian Adaptive KF (VBAKF) algorithm when dealing with uncertain measurement noise.

Aiming at the problem that the periodic transient shock is not obvious at the early stage of rolling bearing faults under background noise, this paper proposes adaptive Minimum noise amplitude deconvolution (MNAD) fault feature extraction algorithm. Firstly, Sparrow Search Algorithm (SSA) is used to optimize the fault frequency FCF and filter length L in MNAD to solve the problem of MNAD instability, and then, the Envelope Periodic Pulsing Factor (EPPF) index is proposed as the SSA adaptability function to iteratively search for the optimal solutions for FCF and L. Finally, the optimized filtered signal obtained by applying MNAD is analyzed by envelope demodulation to extract the fault signal accurately. Through the analysis of experimental data, it is shown that the method can effectively enhance the periodic transient shock characteristics of vibration signals.

Achieving an optimal balance among safety, performance and robustness is crucial for effective control of real-world systems. This paper presents output feedback controllers that leverage the continuous twisting algorithm (CTA), augmented with state observers employing second-order robust exact differentiators (RED) to yield output feedback (CTA-2RED). A safety-critical control framework is formulated utilizing control barrier functions (CBF) to safeguard the system states. The proposed controllers are manipulated via quadratic programming optimization. By filtering the control output of CTA-2RED via CBF, the system attains high performance while providing rigorous safety guarantees. The effectiveness of the proposed approach in ensuring both safety and performance is demonstrated through its application to a vehicle tracking problem in platoons of intelligent connected vehicles. Simulation results indicate that the CTA-2RED controller proficiently mitigates unmodeled disturbances within the vehicle’s actuation system, while the CBFs provide robust safety assurances for the vehicle.

The particle degeneration is a significant factor effecting filter performance in traditional particle filter, which poses a challenge for its application in multi-sensor fusion. The resampling is a valid scheme to counter this issue, such as roughening, a prior editing procedure, and regularisation, but these measures are prone to generate the sample impoverishment. Different from these methods, this paper proposes a multi-sensor particle filter based on improved grey wolf optimizer (IGWO) from the perspective of intelligent optimal sampling. Firstly, the grey wolf optimizer is modified to acquire better exploitation and exploration abilities. Then, the IGWO is used to optimize the posteriori distribution of particles through guiding them to move towards the high likelihood region, which not only avoids the particle degeneration, but also holds the diversity of particles. Finally, a numerical example that an indoor localization for mobile robot with multi-camera visual system is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

The LMS algorithm with a fixed step size cannot simultaneously achieve excellent performance on convergence rate and steady state error in practical applications. This paper proposes a variable step length LMS algorithm (IAVSLMS) based on artanh function, and constructs a new relationship between step length parameter and error signal by improving the parameter model structure, removing small square operation and adopting the error correlation function. The new algorithm is more computational and conducive for hardware implementation. The simulation results show that the new algorithm performs well in convergence speed, steady state error, and tracking performance.

In order to address the issues associated with the classic Canny operator, such as high computational load, incomplete edge information capture, and poor real-time performance, an improved multi-directional Canny edge detection method is proposed for using in service robot navigation systems. This method collects image information through the OV5640 camera, preprocesses the image after grayscale processing combined with mixed multiple filtering, and then performs eight directional adaptive threshold edge detection based on the classical Canny operator. After image enhancement, it runs on the FPGA chip. It can be seen from the experimental results that compared with the classic edge detection algorithm, the improved Canny operator has significantly improved the detection effect and can efficiently process the edges of various complex images in real time, providing a feasible solution for real-time image processing in the FPGA field.

Noise presents a significant challenge in signal processing, especially with speech signals that are prone to various types of acoustical disturbances like babble noise or street noise. The ability to predict and remove noise effectively depends on how rapidly the noise changes relative to the speech. filtering techniques have been developed to address these challenges and improve speech quality. This paper examines and contrasts three prevalent filtering techniques: The Wiener filter, Kalman filter, and Least Mean Square (LMS) algorithm. It assesses their performance based on various metrics including spectrogram quality, Mean Squared Error (MSE), computation time and Perceptual Evaluation of Speech Quality (PESQ) scores. By conducting simulations with varied noisy speech signals across different noise environments, the research assesses the effectiveness of each approach concerning spectral accuracy, noise attenuation capability, perceived speech quality, and computational efficiency. This evaluation seeks to assist in identifying appropriate speech enhancement methods tailored to particular application requirements and noise profiles.

Introduction: The association between drug resistance and genomic mutations underscores their clinical importance in cancer treatment strategies. One such mutation is the E571K alteration in the exportin-1 gene (XPO1), which affects nuclear export signals. Exportin-1 deregulation contributes to oncogenic conditions, including KRAS-mutant lung adenocarcinoma, while this mutation is more common in haematological malignancies, it also occurs in solid tumors like lung adenocarcinoma. Developing selective inhibitors of nuclear export signals (SINEs), such as Selinexor, could improve the prognosis for this challenging condition. However, current SINEs have limitations in potency and safety when used alone or in combination ***: To establish, through molecular modeling, safe and clinically acceptable putative antagonists of E571K-mutated exportin-1 among the bioactive compounds in various parts of Juglans ***: The bioactive compounds were subjected to the compendium of drug-likeness and lead-likeness filter workflows before docking of the resultant compounds into E571K exportin-1 active site using PyRx AutoDock vina to establish their binding affinity and interaction profile. The evolutionary algorithm of Osiris DataWarrior software, as well as lead-likeness filter were employed for the generation of novel non-promiscuous analogs of the lead compound with better putative selectivity and clinical acceptability as E571K Exportin-1 ***: The findings of this study present taxifolin as the putatively effective and lead-like E571K Exportin-1 inhibitor with high potential of qualifying for clinical evaluation but is associated with high promiscuity tendency in high throughput screening. The evolutionary derivation of novel analogs of the compound, however, results in the generation of putatively non-promiscuous, non-toxic, and lead-like E571K Exportin-1 antagonists with high synthetic accessibility and clinical developability for evaluation

Path planning is a significant issue in the current research on ice navigation. Most existing studies utilize sea ice models or ice charts for large-scale polar ship route planning. However, the dynamic trends in weather and ice conditions in polar waters make it challenging for existing research to meet the needs of small-scale, flexible route planning and to accurately and effectively avoid the risk of ice collision. To address this, the study reconstructs the sea ice navigation scene using marine radar imaging technology and applies an optimized bidirectional A-star algorithm to design a polar ice surface ship navigation route planning scheme. The improved bidirectional A-star algorithm takes into account both distance and turning angle, introduces an offset $p$ to prioritize nodes closer to the destination. Additionally, in this research, the $Z$ (x,y) function is applied to filter nodes within the closed list, discarding those that fail to satisfy the criteria to prevent irregular paths. To enhance the ship's turning path smoothness, cubic Bezier curves are employed as a replacement for polyline turning paths. Overall, the results of the simulation experiments confirm the effectiveness of the improved bidirectional A-star algorithm in path planning.

In order to improve the low-quality of manually captured IVCM(In Vivo Confocal Microscopy, IVCM)images, this paper proposes an IVCM image matching algorithm with guided filter enhancement based on meanshift clustering. Firstly, the original IVCM image is clustered and segmented using the meanshift algorithm, and the segmented image is used as the guiding image to realize the guided filter enhancement of the image; secondly, the key points of the neural texture of the IVCM image are extracted by the SIFT(scale-invariant feature transform)algorithm; finally, the two-step matching method is used to realize the matching of the two IVCM images. After experiments, it is proved that the proposed algorithm in this paper can extract the key information of the neural texture in the IVCM image more effectively and improve the accuracy of image alignment.
